Grindavík Dinner in Grindavik

My wife and I are staying at the Blue Lagoon Clinic for a night. Can anyone recommend a restaurant in the Grindavik area other than the one at the Blue Lagoon? Doesn't have to be too fancy/expensive.

Grindavík Blue Lagoon
Posted: Sun May 4, 2008 04:10 PM UTC
Hi,

Being a typically very body concious brit, I was wondering if someone could give me a little more information regarding the changing and showering facilities at the blue lagoon. When we say 'communal showers' is there any kind of seperation at all (like walls or curtains) or is it one huge square room with no chance of hiding? I'm thinking that at least if it's built in a style where you can get a little privacy I could go in winter while it won't be as touristy so it'll be fairly empty.

I'd like to go, or to any pool really while i'm there but I'm guessing they're all the same, but I can't afford the Ł67 for a private shower room, and as someone who hasn't even been brave enough to go out in a swimming costume for several years, I think completely open showers will be too big a jump for me.

Thanks,
Charley

Can anyone tell me of that military radio station is still located near town?

Cheers,
ADC.
