Paradise Island The ferry water taxi from Nassau to Paradise Island
Posted: Fri July 18, 2008 06:30 PM UTC
I am taking a cruise to Nassau next week. I wondered if I could take the ferry water taxi from the harbor to Paradise island and Atlantis and stay at Atlantis resort for a few hours and then return back on the ferry taxi? Also is it easy to walk to the Atlantis resort from where the ferry water taxi stops?

We are arriving in December and just want some beach time with that beautiful clear Bahamas water. Or do wwe need to take a shore excursion? Thanks....Anne

Paradise Island eating in
Posted: Mon June 23, 2008 01:13 AM UTC
Could someone tell me where the nearest Winn Dixie or other marketplace would be? We are traveling with three families, 8 kids, and need snacks, milk, etc.

Do the rooms have refrigerators/microwaves? Would you suggest bringing a cooler? Are there ice machines available?

Thanks! Gracias!

Nassau attractions in nassau
Posted: Fri May 30, 2008 02:11 PM UTC
We are going to the Bahamas in June and was wondering what are some good attractions to go into the island for. We are staying at the Atlantis but would like to get into the town to shop. Are there any tours available? What are some good restaurants that are "home grown"?
Thanks!!

Nassau dining

We are trying to feed a family of 5 in the Bahamas. We are staying at the Atlantis and I am torn about buying their dining plan. Any suggestions? Can I bring food such as granola bars into the Bahamas in my checked luggage? Is it safe to eat dinner out on the island?

Paradise Island Atlantis - Refillable Drink Cups?
Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 11:06 PM UTC
Going to visit Atlantis in July 08. Someone told me that when they visited, the resort (restaurants?) sold large refillable plastic drink cups. They told me that the resort won't inform you, but that those cups can be refilled for free while you are there. Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone? Thanks

New Providence District Rental car in New Providence?
Posted: Tue April 8, 2008 08:34 PM UTC
Hi, we'll be staying at the Nassau Hilton (parents + 2 kids). We will probably want to epxlore some beaches other than the hotel beaches -- do we need a rental car? I read about a jitney in Lonely Planet, is that sufficiently frequent and going to the right places?

Thanks

Nassau Where to shop...
Posted: Wed April 2, 2008 08:20 PM UTC
I am going to be travelling to Nassau this month. I will be staying at the Hilton and I am looking for a good place to buy some fresh fruit and vegetables while I am there. Not huge amounts. Just enough to keep me snack-happy while I am there. I am also looking for good places to stop and eat. Not the typical restaurants that everybody knows about. Something more out of the way and quiet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Nassau Looking for all inclusive
Posted: Thu February 28, 2008 05:41 PM UTC
Anyone know a good all-inclusive resort. My husband and I will be out in March for a long weekend and I want to get as much value as you can from all inclusive. he feels we should stay on the beach, in our resort and enjoy it all. I would rather try different cuisine and check the island out. At least we are getting away, I will go all inclusive to make him happy! I have seen the Atlantis and Sandals, I was hoping there was something a bit cheaper out there to enjoy. Anybody know a good place???

Thanks in advance.

Nassau Out of the Way Beach
Posted: Mon February 4, 2008 10:01 PM UTC
I am taking my first cruise and will be in Nassau for 1 day. I really want to go to a beach that isn't a parking lot of people. I have done a lot of research and have been suggested Love beach but I can not find it on the map. Also I looked through satalite photos of the island and saw what looks like a out of the way beach at Clifton Point. Any information on these beaches or any other ideas? Thanks alot.

Has anyone tried the Ocean Club Tuesday night Seafood BBQ buffet? Is it worth the money?

Any comments on Mosaic? Is food that different from the other dinner buffets?
