Does anyone know the cost for two people from wherever Carnival docks to the Atlantis? How late do taxis operate? Thank you.

I am arriving in Nassau by ship on 5/3 and must attend a wedding at Sandals on Cable Beach. How much is the taxi fare for 2 adults? When returning to the ship about 11PM, is it difficult to find a cab from Sandals back to the port?

Hi, we'll be staying at the Nassau Hilton (parents + 2 kids). We will probably want to epxlore some beaches other than the hotel beaches -- do we need a rental car? I read about a jitney in Lonely Planet, is that sufficiently frequent and going to the right places?

I am going to be travelling to Nassau this month. I will be staying at the Hilton and I am looking for a good place to buy some fresh fruit and vegetables while I am there. Not huge amounts. Just enough to keep me snack-happy while I am there. I am also looking for good places to stop and eat. Not the typical restaurants that everybody knows about. Something more out of the way and quiet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Hi there! Well we've got our flights to Nassau and are very excited! We're both keen to spend a couple of days in the Exumas and would like to know the best way to get there. The Monday ferry with a return on Thursday is out as we fly back to the UK on the Thursday (we're there 21/04/08 until 01/05/08). Does anyone know of any smaller ferry companies which travel to the Exumas on a regular basis and can you give us some times?

Also what are people's experiences of flying between the islands BahamasAir? I've heard it can take a while to get your bags back and don't relish this prospect if we have to fly back to the UK a day later!

Who is a tourist and what are three attractions that keep vistiors returing to the bahamas

Anyone know a good all-inclusive resort. My husband and I will be out in March for a long weekend and I want to get as much value as you can from all inclusive. he feels we should stay on the beach, in our resort and enjoy it all. I would rather try different cuisine and check the island out. At least we are getting away, I will go all inclusive to make him happy! I have seen the Atlantis and Sandals, I was hoping there was something a bit cheaper out there to enjoy. Anybody know a good place???

She is major foodies and want to make sure she find where the locals eat for authentic, cheap Bahamian food, please give her any tips on where she can satisfy cravings. Do any of the resorts at Cable Beach allow topless sunbathing? Does the privatre island at Sandals allow it?

Has anybody heard of this resort? It seems like a good rate for what it includes - kitchen amenities, close to beach, etc. But I never want to believe advertisement so I want to know if anybody knows about this hotel?

I am taking my first cruise and will be in Nassau for 1 day. I really want to go to a beach that isn't a parking lot of people. I have done a lot of research and have been suggested Love beach but I can not find it on the map. Also I looked through satalite photos of the island and saw what looks like a out of the way beach at Clifton Point. Any information on these beaches or any other ideas? Thanks alot.

Me and my boyfriend are thinking of going to the bahamas this year. We want somewhere that offers good diving and kitesurfing ( I am lead to believe that diving will be good throughout the bahamas though!)

We are looking at Nassau and Grand Bahama area so far. Can anyone let us know their experiences of these places? Also we're coming from the UK - what's the best way to get there - fly to Florida and then on to Bahamas or direct to Bahamas?

Wondering if anyone can tell me what the law is in Nassau, can you drink in the streets and on the beach? Ive been to mexico and cuba and both places It was allowed, hoping its the same in Nassau.

In late February or early March 2008, I'll be helping a friend sail a small boat from Florida to The Bahamas. I may jump ship in Bimini or Nassau, depending on a variety of factors, chief among them, acquiring affordable and timely transportation back to the U.S. From either location, what would be the most reasonable way to return to Florida. Since weather and sea state will dictate our travel time, I can't book a flight sufficiently in advance to qualify for any major discounts. Is it practical to contact Bahamas Air when we sail from Miami, try to predict an arrival time and fly standby? Is seaborne ferry service available? Any estimates regarding cost?
