Antigua and Barbuda Suggests for accommodation in Antigua e Barbuda
Posted: Tue October 27, 2009 12:05 PM UTC
I'm planning a 10 days holiday in Antigua/Barbuda on next February and need to choose the accommodation. My budget is about 80 $ for a double room and I'm looking a place on walking distance to beaches and restaurants: I'll surely rent a car for some days, but don't like to be linked to the car for the whole holiday. Can you reccommend an affordable place, even in Barbuda? I've already read the web site Anrtiguanice but I'd like to receive useful suggests from people who have tested places. Thanks so much.

Saint John's Cruise Stop
Posted: Thu May 14, 2009 01:28 AM UTC
We are taking a cruise which stops in Antigua....any suggestions for a nice beach day, where we can get service at a bar or restaurant with lounge chairs etc...? I heard there are many beaches to see....should we rent a moped? Any suggestions on how to best spend our time would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Dawn

Barbuda Barbuda accomodations
Posted: Fri May 1, 2009 10:06 PM UTC
Hi
I would love to visit Barbuda. Does anyone know if there are cottages or small houses for rent right on the beach? I can't afford the Coco Poing houses, but could do $200-350 night.
Thanks for any help!

Antigua and Barbuda Antigua weather in September
Posted: Sun March 15, 2009 03:35 PM UTC
Hi All,

I believe I might have made a mistake booking my trip to Antigua September 12 - 19th because of the weather. This was the only available time I was able to book our trip due to work schedules and unfortunately, my flight/hotel are non-refundable. After reading on numerous sites that September is probably the worst time to visit the island because of rain/hurricanes, I was wondering if there is any ray of hope that I should look forward to.

The touristy boards say rain happens for a short-while each day, but other sites people have posted to keep away. The trip was a gift from my parents for our honeymoon and I am praying for sun, fun, and relaxation.

Has anyone had any great trips to Antigua during this timeframe?

Thanks in advance!

Antigua and Barbuda flight to Antigua
Posted: Fri March 7, 2008 10:46 PM UTC
Hello,
I am flying to Antigua in November. I live on the west coast and would like to cut down on the flight expence and flight time but I'm not sure what hub airport is quickest to fly from the US to Antigua. I have frequent flier tickets on Southwest that will allow me to choose several different cities to fly from. Thanks

Antigua and Barbuda Hunting and/ or fishing advice
Posted: Tue February 19, 2008 01:24 AM UTC
Hi
We are heading to Antiqua and hope to make it to Barbuda.
I've got very limited info on Hunting on sites, anyone have any suggestions or comments for the guys going w/ us? This is all I could fine: " Barbuda's Codrington Lagoon, hunting of deer, boar, various gamefowl on Barbuda. Licenses and gun permits must be obtained in Codrington Village. "

If you can recommend a good captain and mate for a fishing trip?
thanks

Antigua and Barbuda Antigua traveller going to St Lucia..
Posted: Wed October 17, 2007 03:31 AM UTC
I was wondering if some one here, on ANU forum who have been to both islands would be able to give a practical advise on what to expect on SLU?
My wife and I are planning to be there in December and go around explore the island. I remember that we could venture out basically any time of the day or night to St Johns or English harbour for a meal out or drinks. Will it be the same on SLU?

Antigua and Barbuda Sandals/Dinner Cruises/Restaurants
Posted: Sun September 2, 2007 11:46 PM UTC
We are headed to Antigua Sandal's resort next week (Honeymoon)! I know the resort has some nice (all inclusive) restaurants, but I'd like to get out a little. I've heard of "The Cove" restaurant. My wife likes the nicer places. Also, I've been looking for a nice dinner cruise? I don't want a choppy all-day adventure (Well, I'd like that, but her, maybe not). Anyways, any advice? Stay on the property? Cruise? Nice Upscale Restaurants?

Hi, I will be in Antigua between 26th March to 9th April have hired a 4WD for transport to and from the games. Anyone got a space on their accommodation floor for a couple of hours before the games. Especially when the real world number one take on the host nation. Can run you around the island on off game days for what ever. Go Aussies.

Antigua and Barbuda Honeymoon at end of June early July
Posted: Mon February 26, 2007 09:00 PM UTC
Hi, just wanted to get any opinions on a honeymoon to Antigua (or Barbados) in the last week of June/beg July.

I've read that the hurricane season is June - Nov, but how likely are these to occur - i.e. is it a risk worth taking, are hurricanes more likely to be from late July/Aug/ Sept?

is there really pink sand in barbuda. I want to see a cool pink sand beach but I don't want to spend the time/money/energy getting there to find out it's like some other "pink sand beaches" that are slightly colored in some small spots at the exact right angle only when you squint your eyes and add a little imagination. does anyone know? thanks tons!

Antigua and Barbuda snorkeling
Posted: Thu February 2, 2006 08:18 PM UTC
We are going to Antigua in Apr. 2006. I've been looking for snorkeling tours that allow you to solely snorkel, but not last all day. I've read about Eli's, franco's, the kayak one, and the catamaran ones. Is there any tours out there that are a couple of hours of snorkeling or half day?
