Antigua and Barbuda flight to Antigua
Posted: Fri March 7, 2008 09:46 PM UTC
Hello,
I am flying to Antigua in November. I live on the west coast and would like to cut down on the flight expence and flight time but I'm not sure what hub airport is quickest to fly from the US to Antigua. I have frequent flier tickets on Southwest that will allow me to choose several different cities to fly from. Thanks

Antigua and Barbuda Hunting and/ or fishing advice
Posted: Tue February 19, 2008 12:24 AM UTC
Hi
We are heading to Antiqua and hope to make it to Barbuda.
I've got very limited info on Hunting on sites, anyone have any suggestions or comments for the guys going w/ us? This is all I could fine: " Barbuda's Codrington Lagoon, hunting of deer, boar, various gamefowl on Barbuda. Licenses and gun permits must be obtained in Codrington Village. "

If you can recommend a good captain and mate for a fishing trip?
thanks

Antigua and Barbuda Antigua traveller going to St Lucia..
Posted: Wed October 17, 2007 02:31 AM UTC
I was wondering if some one here, on ANU forum who have been to both islands would be able to give a practical advise on what to expect on SLU?
My wife and I are planning to be there in December and go around explore the island. I remember that we could venture out basically any time of the day or night to St Johns or English harbour for a meal out or drinks. Will it be the same on SLU?

Antigua and Barbuda Sandals/Dinner Cruises/Restaurants
Posted: Sun September 2, 2007 10:46 PM UTC
We are headed to Antigua Sandal's resort next week (Honeymoon)! I know the resort has some nice (all inclusive) restaurants, but I'd like to get out a little. I've heard of "The Cove" restaurant. My wife likes the nicer places. Also, I've been looking for a nice dinner cruise? I don't want a choppy all-day adventure (Well, I'd like that, but her, maybe not). Anyways, any advice? Stay on the property? Cruise? Nice Upscale Restaurants?

Hi Everyone,

My partner and i are going to Antigua around middle of June. This is out first holiday together so we want it to be abit special. However we have heard that its hurricane season from June - September. What are the chances of any hurricanes etc around the time we are going?

Also we both love to lie in the sun and get a tan, does anyone know what the weather is like around Mid June time?? The hotter the better !!!

If anyone can help on the above questions we would both really appreciate it.

Antigua and Barbuda Free Transport - Exchange for Floor Space
Posted: Sat March 24, 2007 03:20 AM UTC
Hi, I will be in Antigua between 26th March to 9th April have hired a 4WD for transport to and from the games. Anyone got a space on their accommodation floor for a couple of hours before the games. Especially when the real world number one take on the host nation. Can run you around the island on off game days for what ever. Go Aussies.

Antigua and Barbuda Honeymoon at end of June early July
Posted: Mon February 26, 2007 08:00 PM UTC
Hi, just wanted to get any opinions on a honeymoon to Antigua (or Barbados) in the last week of June/beg July.

I've read that the hurricane season is June - Nov, but how likely are these to occur - i.e. is it a risk worth taking, are hurricanes more likely to be from late July/Aug/ Sept?

is there really pink sand in barbuda. I want to see a cool pink sand beach but I don't want to spend the time/money/energy getting there to find out it's like some other "pink sand beaches" that are slightly colored in some small spots at the exact right angle only when you squint your eyes and add a little imagination. does anyone know? thanks tons!

does anyone have any advice? good time of year to go? good resort? is there much to do? we'd be most interested in relaxing in the sun, snorkling (maybe diving) and visiting local areas. Any tips or information would be great!

Antigua and Barbuda snorkeling
Posted: Thu February 2, 2006 07:18 PM UTC
We are going to Antigua in Apr. 2006. I've been looking for snorkeling tours that allow you to solely snorkel, but not last all day. I've read about Eli's, franco's, the kayak one, and the catamaran ones. Is there any tours out there that are a couple of hours of snorkeling or half day?

Saint John's Where to stay for cricket 2007
Posted: Mon January 16, 2006 02:19 PM UTC
We're planning 5 days in Antigua to watch the Aussies play in the World Cup Cricket in March 2007. Where to stay? We like the idea of being by the beach, rather than in St John's itself, but don't want to be too far from the Sir Vivien Richards cricket ground. Is Long Bay Hotel in the vicinity? Perhaps the cottages at Dickenson bay?

Antigua and Barbuda Thinking of Antigua
Posted: Tue November 22, 2005 10:33 AM UTC
Has anyone stayed at Blue Waters in Antigua ? I am planning a trip for next year and would be taking a ten year old and a baby. Not sure which hotel to go for - Jolly Beach looks good for children but Im not a big fan of big hotels. Blue waters looks more my kind of hotel but does anyone know about location as far as beaches and what it would be like for kids ? I will look at most hotels really just a general view from anyone who has been would be very helpful.
The other Island I have looked at is St Lucia but the beaches look quite dark so I don't know if it would be as nice.
Any help would be great !
Has anyone taken a baby out there also ? If so any advice ?

Thanks !

My fiancee and I are thinking of booking our honeymoon at the Sandals resort in Antigua. We'd love to hear if anyone else has experienced this all-inclusive resort and what you think of it. It's fairly expensive but it is our honeymoon....we want to be pampered, too!

Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Antigua and Barbuda jolly beach resort or grand pineapple beach
Posted: Sun May 22, 2005 04:53 PM UTC
We are a family of 4 -2 adults 2teenagers (16,19)trying to decide where to go in late July early Aug. Jolly beach was our 1st choice until we read reviews of how cloudy the water is there for snorkeling, then after changing our minds to pineapple beach we read how windy the east coast is! help! Questions- how cloudy is the sea at jolly beach? and why does it happen? eg due to weather? or building works at other end still going on? How windy does it at pineapple beach at that time of year? Also is rain a problem? Does it rain at night mostly ? or if during the day is it just short bursts? Would be grateful for any help
