Have you been to Isla de Vieques, Puerto Rico Posted: Sun August 31, 2008 08:44 PM UTC
If you have, how did you like it. Which hotel did you stay at? Did you rent a scooter or car? Can we use a bicycle for most of our travels on the island?
Tell me everything?????
Thanks you,
Glen

questions about Puerto Rico bound Posted: Thu January 24, 2008 04:27 PM UTC
I will soon travel to Vajardo and am wondering where is the best place to find local art and crafts to bring home. I know there is a ferry traveling to both Culebra and Viques but am wondering if these are the best islands to travel to buy these crafts. I really would like to experience these local customs while in town. I will be there oonly four days in February.

Sunset sails and massage therapists? Posted: Sun April 22, 2007 03:18 AM UTC
This is a two part question. Are there any sailboats that do sunset sails on Vieques? Also, can anyone recommend a massage therapist or spa on the island?
Thank you!

May weather? Posted: Sat April 21, 2007 06:29 PM UTC
I have read that May is one of the rainiest months on Vieques but does that mean there is no sunshine or that the sun shines between showers. We usually travel to the caribbean in May but obviously we want to have decent weather when we visit Vieques. Thanks!

traveling with 9...how best to get to vieques Posted: Mon April 16, 2007 10:31 PM UTC
All 9 of us will be arriving in San Juan after a long day of traveling. Are there any recommendations (relatively inexpensive) for traveling from San Juan to Vieques? Some airlines can't take all of us, and I've heard so many different stories about the fares and travel time to get from San Juan to Fajardo that I'm not sure what to expect on that route.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Place to stay in Esperanza Posted: Fri February 3, 2006 01:16 AM UTC
I am looking to rent an apartment/studio in Esperanza for mid-March. I looked into a rental called Abella CasaMia that has a studio apartment upstairs and a 3-bedroom house downstairs. Has anyone ever stayed here or know anything about it?
OR if anyone has any suggestions on a place that fits the description of what I am looking for:
A place w/ a kitchen to sleep two people for 4 nights
Preferably in Esperanza
No more than $95/per night
Thanks for you help!!!

Camping on Vieques? Posted: Sun November 6, 2005 07:45 PM UTC
In 1987 we spent a week at a fairly primitive state park campground on Vieques. It was about a half a mile south of Esperanza. I think it was on Sun Bay.
Does anyone know if it is still there?
Thanks in advance.

cars to vieques Posted: Wed July 27, 2005 05:27 PM UTC
I'm traveling to San Juan in Sept of 05,a cruise and then a week on Vieques.
I'll need a car while in San Juan and one on Vieques so my question is should I rent on at both places or simply drive to Fajardo and ferry one to Vieques and back? Looking for advice and remember "I ain't no rocket scientist" LOL...
Thanks for any help,
Robert

San Juan to Vieques Posted: Mon December 20, 2004 08:23 PM UTC
Hi...my husband will be staying in San Juan mid-January. We want to visit the Bio Bay in Vieques, but don't want to stay the night in Vieques. From what I can tell, the last ferry/flight out of Vieques back to Fajardo or San Juan is around 5pm, which means we wouldn't get to see the bay at night time. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting from Vieques back to San Juan later at night? After dark? Thanks!! We desparately want to see the bio bay!!

late night transportation from vieques to mainland Posted: Tue July 15, 2003 10:49 PM UTC
Is it possible? I would really love to see the biobay @ night and return to the mainland about 1030 pm. I am staying in San Juan for only 3 days, 3 nights and have already booked my hotel there. I have heard about the biobay before but did not realize it was in Puerto Rico. Has been something I have always wanted to experience. Any info you can give about returning to the mainland late evening so I can experience the biobay in its full glory would be greatly appreciated! thanks, michelle
