Isla Margarita Diverland opening times in January 2010
Posted: Thu October 15, 2009 05:58 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
I don't know if anyone can advise ? I have been looking for the opening times of Diverland which I believe is close to Porlamar and haven't been very successful.
We are visiting Isla Margarita as part of our cruise on Monday 11 th January 2010 , just for the day , and because we are rollercoaster enthusiasts wanted to ride the rollercoaster at Diverland. Please can anyone advise what times Diverland is open ?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Susan.

Santa Elena de Uairén Bus to Santa Elena de Uairén
Posted: Thu September 17, 2009 02:20 PM UTC
Hi all. We need to get from Caracas to Santa Elena de Uairén while arriving to Caracas airport early afternoon. We do not want to fly due to necessity to pay for tickets using terrible oficial exchange rate when booking and paying ahead.

1. An obvious option seems to be to take one of many night buses to Ciudad Bolivar and switch to a daily bus from there. Does anybody please know the schedule of daily buses from Ciudad Bolivar to Santa Elena de Uairén? The route should be served at least by Turgar Express and San Cristobal bus companies.

2. Another and seemingly easier option would be to take a direct bus from Caracas to Santa Elena de Uairén. Yet, the buses of companies known to me - Expresos Caribe, Expresos los Llanos, Expresos Occidente - seem to leavy too early for us to catch them on the day of our arrival. Does anybody please know if there are any direct buses from Caracas to Santa Elena de Uairén leaving in the evening after 18:00?

Thanks for help.

Estado Bolívar Accommodation in Paraitepuy under Roraima
Posted: Fri February 20, 2009 06:33 AM UTC
Hi. Is there any budget accommodation now available in Paraitepuy under Roraima in Venezuela? We do not need anything fancy, just a place to spend night before our trek and store our excessive stuff brought for changeful travelling around Venezuela.

Also, does anybody have any e-mail contact in Paraitepuy (or at least San Francisco de Yuruani) where we could pre-negotiate transport to Paraitepuy and/or a guide for our trek? We would like to start our trek early to avoid heat on the savanna and shorten our accession to the mountain.

Thanks.

Posted: Wed January 30, 2008 09:34 PM UTC
Hi All.

My wife and I am going to Isla Margarita in March this year. I have heard that the island is "Duty Free" so apparently it should be much cheaper to buy Digital Camera and Lenses on location instead of bringing the equipmewnt from Denmark. Does anybody have expierences with buying Foto Equipment on Margarita?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Isla Margarita Please help :)
Posted: Fri January 4, 2008 05:18 AM UTC
hi there! I'll be heading to venezuela in the coming weeks, and am a little worried about the travel advisory regarding crime and weakened safety for tourists, specifically for Margarita Island. Could anyone local to the area, or recent travellers, tell me what the current situation is like and whether they would recommend travel?

Thanks so much for your time!

We missed out on the trip to Angel Falls in February but are returning to the island in January and I remember reading something about a day trip over to see them. Anyone that can share some insight on this trip would be appreciated. I seem to remember seeing a cost of @ $140 USD p.p.

Isla Margarita BEST SWIMMING/SNORKELING BEACH

From initial research it appears that the beaches on this island have a great deal of surf and wind. What might be the best resort or area to stay for calm water and good snorkeling?
