Dublin Is a 2 hour and 40 minute connection time realistic?
Posted: Mon July 21, 2008 07:54 PM UTC
I'm trying to book a series of flights to get myself from Milwaukee to Yerevan, and I found some really great deals through Dublin, but what I'm wondering is if I get in to Dublin on an American/AerLingus code share flight from Chicago at 8:15am and have a flight out of Dublin to London at 10:55am on British Midland, is that at all realistic? Or am I going to miss my flight? Do those airlines work out of separate terminals? Thanks!

Dublin Help getting from Dublin to Killarney
Posted: Thu July 3, 2008 04:37 AM UTC
Hi!
I'll be in Ireland with my mom from July 8th.
We are going to Dublin first then we had planned to rent a car, travel to Killarney (we booked an apartment)and from there visit the region.
We've heard the scenery is great when you drive but then we found out we need to leave a deposit of more than 1000 euros to rent the car. I'm unsure, maybe we'll be ok travelling by train.
If we rent the car:
How long would it take us to get from Dublin to Killarney? are the roads ok?
Is it difficult to tour around the region without a car?
For example if we head to the Cliffs of Moher is there space to park?

Thanks in advance.

Dublin July 6,7 & 8 in Dublin area
Posted: Wed June 18, 2008 07:46 AM UTC
My husband and I are heading to Ireland July 5th from Canada. We have 3 days on our own and land in Dublin. We are not big city people and are looking for suggestions where to stay to enjoy some local culture and history before we link up with a CIE Tour which visits Glendalough, Waterford, Blarney, Lakes of Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher and Galway, Connemara and Westport, and ends in Malahide. As we will be touring we would prefer a location where we could get some walking in, relax and access the DART as we have to meet our tour in Dublin on the 9th. Any recommendations for places to stay would be greatly appreciated.

Dublin Comfortable and Stylish
Posted: Tue June 10, 2008 03:48 PM UTC
I'll be in Dublin from July 1-7. I'm thinking the weather will be in the mid-sixties. That's all I know. Any ideas if it's foggy, breezy, rainy, sunny etc? How about dressing comfortably to be out and about all day but still stylish?

Dublin a 7 hour layover...
Posted: Sat June 7, 2008 11:51 AM UTC
Question, I have a 7 hour layover in Dublin on my way to Spain... Will this be enough time to do anything other than just sit in the airport?
Can I lock up my bags somewhere?
Can I see anything interesting or beautiful while there or is the time too little?

Thanks for the feedback!

Dublin Charity Runs
Posted: Mon June 2, 2008 01:08 PM UTC
I have recently taken up running and like to do 5K/10K runs for charity. Can anyone recommend any runs in Dublin? I know I have missed the women's mini-marathon but wondered if there were any other runs coming up later this year?

Many thanks.

Dublin Masa Harina

Does anyone know where I can get masa harina in Dublin? There was a place that sold it in the Epicurean Centre but they no longer carry it. I haven't had any luck in Belfast, either. I found a place in England that does mail order but was hoping to find something on this side of the sea. I am having tamale withdrawls. :o(

Dublin Transportation from Airport to hotel
Posted: Tue May 20, 2008 08:49 PM UTC
Hello,
We will be staying at Comfort Inn Granby Row (I was told the hotel was close to the city center - is this true?) and I would like to know what transportation options we have from the airport to the hotel and how long does it take to get to the hotel from the airport. We will be arriving around 10am in Dublin after a 9 hours flight and we really want to get to the hotel fast (most likely we will be tired after flying during the night hours), so we can rest a little before exploring the city at night for few hours.
Thank you!

Dublin argentinian restaurant
Posted: Sun May 18, 2008 08:59 AM UTC
Hello,

I'm off to Dublin on Thursday - and I'm looking for an Argentinian restaurant, if there's any. Possibly a "true" one.

Would anyone know where to find any? I can also consider heading out to one of the neighbouring villages, if necessary-

Thanks a million for any help

Dublin Dublin Accommodation & Rental Car to Visit West Coast
Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 02:03 PM UTC
Arrive Dublin From Australia Wednesday 20th August'08, need good 3 star accommodation, hotel or B&B within walking distance of city centre for 2 nights.Any recommendations, need quiet room at night.

Appreciate names of rental car coys, need medium size car for 7 or 8 nights, pick up Dublin city, return to Dublin or Dublin Airport when we depart on 29th August.

Are there any accommodation groups who pre sell vouchers for accommodation at B&B or hotels / pubs for use as we drive around Ireland? Is this a good metod of obtaining accommodation?

Finally, what should we expect weather wise.

Appreciate all replies,
