Jiuzhaigou Hotels inside the Jiuzhaigou?
Posted: Tue October 4, 2005 05:07 AM UTC
Hi,
I am also planning to go to Jiuzhaigou and have many questions...
is it possible to stay in the park itself?
Are there many little hotels, or are there only big 4 or 5*hotels where one can stay? Can anyone give me some names of hotels?
How far is the park from the airport?
I read that there is a bus to take to the entrance.. is this similar as to Huangshan, where the bus takes you to a starting point from where one walks? Or does one have to walk from the entrance?

If you have any other advice/comments/tips etc: these are more then welcome!
Thanks
Yvonne

Jiuzhaigou Early November weather
Posted: Tue September 27, 2005 04:34 AM UTC
Planned a trip to Chengdu/Jiuzhaigou first week of November. Had to book a tour as backpacking in China can be a pain. Everybody has been telling me to pack winter clothes but I'm not too sure if it will be that cold. How cold does it get in early November anyway? Does it snow even? Would warm clothese be enough? (sweaters/jackets) Cheers!

Posted: Sun July 31, 2005 05:11 PM UTC
Hi there,

I will be travelling to the above places for 2 weeks and would like to check if anyone familiar with the route i'm using and if yes, please be so kind to share with me :

Chengdu - Leshan/Emei
Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou by bus
Jiuzhaigou - Huang Long
Huang Long - Songpan
Songpan - Wolong
Wolong - Xining by train (i'm not sure how long. My intention is to get to Lhasa, first from chengdu to Xining by train, then to Golmud, then bus from Golmud to Lhasa. I am not sure the total travel times yet. If flight is cheaper, we will consider that option)

Look forward to hear from you all..
Cheers

Jiuzhaigou Going to Jiuzhaigou in October - By Bus or Plane.
Posted: Fri July 29, 2005 01:51 AM UTC
We are planning to visit Jiuzhaigou in October, possibly after 10 October as VT member Meg had suggested. We do not know whether to go there by bus or by plane. Going there by plane would be fast and easy on the body I suppose but then we would miss the scenery and villages on the way. Can any VT member help me to find the answers!

By the way, what is the weather like in JZG in October? Thanks in advance to all for your advance.

Jiuzhaigou Independent travel from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou
Posted: Fri March 12, 2004 06:50 PM UTC
Hello there,

Has anybody here ever tried doing an independent trip to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu yourself instead of joining a packaged tour?

Any experience to share?

I am interested in doing one and would like to know the bus-fare from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou and vice versa.

How abt the accoms in Jiuzhaigou town?
Any budget hostels available and what are the rates like for single/double room or dorms?

How long does it take to walk from the town to the park entrance?

I understand that the entrance ticket costs 115 RMB.
That means I would have to pay 115 RMB everyday to get into the park?

Sorry for the many questions asked...tried searching for the data in the web but to no avail.......

Thanks!

Yours sincerely,
Sebastian.
