Sint Maarten weather in september
Posted: Fri March 4, 2005 10:30 AM UTC
I know september is the peak for rainy season in St.Maarten. We are still going to stay at the Pelican Resort Club the second week of sept. What are the days like at that time, is it like spurts of rain and then it clears up or not, help me please

I understand that the Great Bay hotel has undergone extensive renovation work & reopened a month ago. Has anyone been there since it's re-opening.
Thanks

Sint Maarten TROPICAL beach
Posted: Wed January 19, 2005 06:13 PM UTC
Our cruise ship will be at St. Maartin next week for one day. Where is the best TROPICAL - looking beach? One with palm trees? We don't care about amenities, just want to see a beautiful beach. Also, what's the best (and cheapest) way to get there from the cruise port? THANKS!

Sint Maarten Where's the best beach?
Posted: Sun January 16, 2005 01:44 AM UTC
We are going to be stopping at St. Marten for 11 hours as one of the stops on a cruise. We like to snorkel and soak up the sun. What is the best beach on St. Marten for this and how is best to get there?

Hello! My husband and I love to dance Salsa. Does anyone know of any Salsa Clubs on the island? We are going to St Maarten in November and are staying on the dutch side, but we would travel to the French side as well. Thanks for your help!

Sint Maarten Maho Beach Resort
Posted: Mon August 23, 2004 08:18 PM UTC
Anyone ever stay here? The website doesn't have many pictures of the place, but I've heard the area is very nice.

Found a very good last minute deal to this resort, so I am thinking of a week long trip... what should I see and do??

I assume the weather in early October is still very very pleasant??

Thanks,

T.

Sint Maarten Visiting Sint Maarten with kids
Posted: Wed August 11, 2004 03:42 PM UTC
We have arranged to travel to Sint Maateen this October. We are going with our 5 year old daughter. It seems like people are free to go topless at many of the beaches. Is this a good destination to take your kids to. Are there activities for kids on the island?

Sint Maarten 2-night hotel stay: Le Meridien?
Posted: Wed June 23, 2004 08:42 PM UTC
Any thoughts on Le Meridien? I was wondering which part of the island to stay that is good for snorkeling, or a hotel in a desirable location (a snorkeling lagoon, for example?)?

Captain Oliver's has a good package deal, but I'm afraid its location is inconvenient, as it offers a free rental car, haha!

Other hotel recommendations are welcome (No more than 150US with breakfast please!lol)

Thanks!

Sint Maarten Aruba or St Maarten?
Posted: Sun April 18, 2004 05:44 PM UTC
I'm absolutely pulling my hair out deciding where to go for my honeymoon in Jan 2005. It is definitely down to Aruba or St Maarten. I know there are people who don't prefer either one, but that is what we've decided on. Anyway, we need it to be relatively cheap- the St Maarten trips I've priced are about $50-100 cheaper than Aruba, but would food, souvenirs, etc be cheaper in Aruba? I'm not sure how to compare those prices if I don't know how much other things cost in general. We're looking for nightlife, beautiful beaches, and maybe a daytrip somewhere. Which would you choose? Thanks!

Sint Maarten Passport vs. BC
Posted: Thu April 15, 2004 06:19 PM UTC
I know that I only need a Birth certificate to go from the United States to Sint Maarten but do you need a passport to ferry and/or plan to neighboring islands?

Also please summarize any "must see or do's" while in Sint Maarten/St. Martin. Thank you.

Posted: Tue November 25, 2003 10:12 PM UTC
Hello, I am travelling to Sint Maarten in February and am considering staying at The Ocean Club. In one of their time share units. Has anyone ever stayed there or seen it and can tell me what it's like. It's on Cupecoy beach. I hear the water there is a little rough and not good for swimming? Advice anyone?
Thank you.
