Hi there!

My girlfriend and I just - as in an hour ago - bought two tickets to Side (We live in Denmark). I'd like to know if anyone has ideas of what to go see in the local area. We will be staying there for two weeks, and I'll go crazy if I spend 14 days on the beaches, so for a few days, we'll rent a car. If there are any particular sightings reachable by car, we should experience, please let us know!

Hi. Ive been to Side many times before (over 20) and I am flying out on the 25.07 for 2 weeks with my friend. I always tend to stay in the walls of side, so im looking for somewhere to stay thats not too expensive. Has anyone got a contact email address etc for rooms in side of Side. I have contacted a couple of friends who have given me prices but I am going with a friend who has never been before so would like to stay somewhere different.xx

I am looking to find out about any amazing Hammam 's in the Side/antlaya area of turkey. Used one in the hotel and felt I would get a better service from one out of the hotel complex.

I'm travelling to Side in May and wonder if anyone can advise on lovely beaches outside of Side which might easily be reached by public transport or Dolmus? Thankyou to all those who replied to my query about "hassle" in Side I posted in November 2008-- I put a reply there just now as I had forgotten I sent the question and was delighted to have had 6 replies!
What's it like for mosquitoes in Side in May? I have an allergic reaction so I ask about this wherever I go. I'm hoping there may be fewer there as it's not too green.

Because I cann’t find a email address from a tourist office in Side or Manavgat ,I was hoping you could help me?
I would like to know if they have boating trip from Side harbor and how much that cost??
I would also like to know how much it costs to visit ancient Side and the museum ?
I would also like to go to Koprulu Canyon with a car that I hired,is it dificult to get there and is the canyon nice to take pictures(Is there alot to see)?

I'm thinking of going to an All Inclusive 5 star hotel in Side (hoping this might work out cheaper than self catering hols) but may choose elsewhere in Turkey.
I've been to Olu Deniz\Hisaronu once and Icemeler too. I could't stand the hassle in the latter resort i.e. from guys wanting us to eat in their restaurant/bar, shop in their shop whatever!! I'd rather stay home than suffer that again as I'm easily irritated and it made me avoid going into any shops at all. I had little or no hassle in Olu. What's it like in Side?
Also what's the scenery like there as it looks rather flat and bland in comparison to Olu?

Does anyone know if their is a flower shop in Side and where it is situated ?

I´m going to side for 1 week holiday in the begining of june. This time we desided to pick a allinclusive hotel called Hemera. Anyone have any info about it ? good or bad :)

I have planed to go to turkey 10-20 July 2008.
I have been three times there.
This time i want to stay at royal dragon hotel.
Its seems to be opened first april 2008.
Can u help me with any infromation about this hotel?
Or if u recommend me another hotel ins Side.
(three times before I have stayed in five stars hotels in belek and lara)

my family holiday to side is in two weeks time i would like to find out which currency is best to take i have been told euros are best to take then others have said to take liras i would be greatfull for any information thank you

Hi, Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Antalya airport to Manavgat, There are five of us travelling 2 adults and 3 children, I'm not sure if a Taxi will take us as we will have five suitcases also.

We will arrive at Antalya airport at about 02.30am. Which I hope does not pose too much of a problem.

I visited side ten years ago,and was impressed.but my stay was short. I have also visited Bodrum.marmaris.kusadasi.ect but they did not appeal to me too linger for long. Seljuk was nice- but dead nowdays since people stay in kusadasi and do day trips to Ephesus ect. same with Pamukale its a ghost town since the falls dried up.(does any one know why after thousands of years this happened in the last 30years) any way I am thinking of returning to Side for a long stay. are there any cheap pensions avbailable or is it now expensive? I had considered Alanya but I imagine it would be too much like the costa del sol. a sprawling city of endless apartments and affluent tourists.what are your views?

Can anyone tell me how far & how much in a taxi from Side to Belek. I was hoping to get a few golfing days in, but I wonder if it is too far to Belek. I thought the two towns were close to one another.

Can anyone tell me if there is an ATM Cash Point in Side. I went onto a website and one guy says there are very few in Turkey, though I feel its hard to believe. I presume he spent most of his time in the outer regions. I apologise if this seems a silly question. Thanks Christine

Ive just booked a lastminute holiday to Side and would like to knwo the best Restaraunts to go and are there any night clubs in the town or do you have to travel to bigger towns? I would also like to know where the best places are to go clothes shopping. Can anyone help?

I am going to spend 4 days in Side (from 28 October). The hotel is Neptuen (any info about this place?).I would like to have some trips to see around.I have got the leaflet from "Three tours" travel agency; they have some options, seem quite interesting. I would like to ask about your suggestions what I sholud choose because 4 days isn't much and I am sure there are lots of places worth visiting. What would you advice?

Hi, we have just booked a holiday to Side for next week. Firstly can anyone tell me what the weather is usually like this time of year, I say usually as it is so unpredictable nowadays, and most importantly is there a good selection of shops selling designer handbags, clothes etc. I believe Marmaris is fantastic for this type of thing and am beginning to think we have booked the wrong resort in that respect. Can anybody give me any info re. whether there is a good selection of shops.

Me and my Friend are planning to have a holiday starting from Istanbul to Marmaris by our car ( may be by our Motorbikes :)) and LOOKING for two openminded ,girls.Along the distance we are planning to see Izmir-cesme-efesus , Bodrum, Kusadasi and the last Marmaris ( holiday heaven :).We will stay in marmaris for much of the time.
On the orher hand our plan not certain but changible according to conditions of our possible new friends.We can also plan our holiday together ??

I am looking for infromation about carpets. We are visiting Side in October and wants to buy a carpet for the sittinggroup at home. The carpet has to be about 2m long and 1.60m wide.Can anyone tell me abot the prices? What is a good price and what is to expensive? Is it easy to find a good carpetshop in Side?
