Killarney Pools open to the public
Posted: Sat March 29, 2008 08:54 AM UTC
Hi,

I'm looking for a swimming pool/jacuzzi open to the public in Killarney. I do know several of the spa complexes have special facilities with herbal saunas and fancy showers, but these cost 25 euros to use, and we don't particularly like saunas. Paying 25 euros/$40/£20 just to use the pool and jacuzzi is way too steep. Any suggestions for a less expensive option? Many thanks.

Dingle Traditional Irish music
Posted: Sun March 16, 2008 08:11 AM UTC
Although I've been to Dingle many times, we never stayed overnight there, so I don't know what the music scene is like in the evenings. Any suggestions for first timers? We'd prefer to go to only one place rather than hop around. Thanks very much.

Dingle what shall we do with two 12 year olds?
Posted: Fri March 14, 2008 04:13 PM UTC
My husband and I along with our 12 year old daughter and her friend are visiting ireland for the first time next week We are staying in Doonmanagh and would love some ideas on places to visit that will interest the girls. They both love wildlife, horses and old churches and monuments. I have looked on line but i think it best to ask people who have been to the area. Any suggestions, we will have a car so travelling around is no problem

Dingle Transpot Shannon to Dingle
Posted: Sun March 9, 2008 08:44 PM UTC
I am traveling from Shannon airport to Dingle to meet up with some friends who will already have a rental car. I am looking for the best mode of transportation to get there in a reasonable time. I have looked at bus and train schedules and the closest drop off for a rental car is Kerry airport. Any suggestions? You may email me directly at cary@generalshiprepair.com

Dingle Tours of Dingle Bay Peninsula?
Posted: Tue August 14, 2007 09:56 PM UTC
Hi,
I will be in Cork City in a few days and I would like to take a day tour of Dingle (will not be renting a car). Are there any companies you would recommend? I know Bus Eirann offers tours. Any insight you have would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I was at Inch Beach on Saturday, 4th August and on the side of a building was a verse. I know that it started: Dear Inis must I leave thee

I can't remember the rest of the verse. Is there anyone that can help with this.

Killarney Armagnac
Posted: Sat May 12, 2007 09:09 AM UTC
My husband loves Armagnac, and the past several times when we were in Ireland we scoured the places that sell wines and whiskeys but could not find any (except in bars, but we want to buy a bottle). Does anyone know if it's possible to buy Armagnac in Killarney, and if so, where? Thanks very much.

Dingle Honeymoon in Dingle
Posted: Fri February 9, 2007 06:06 PM UTC
I went through Dingle a couple years ago and fell in love. I have convinced the bride to be to spend 4 or 5 days here in the middle of March. How is the weather this time of year (we are both from sunny Florida) and is it better to fly into Shannon or Cork? I have never rented a car in Ireland (was too young before) but have decided to have a go this time round. What would be a couple great day trips from this area? She loves towns lined with old, beautiful buildings. This is her first time out of the country, so I want this trip to convince her to come back the following year for a couple of weeks. Thank you for any suggestions or advice.

Dingle Self Guided Walking Tour of Dingle Way
Posted: Thu February 8, 2007 12:45 AM UTC
My husband and I are planning a walking tour of Dingle Way in May. Do you advise us to plan an independent self-guided tour? Or would you recommend booking a guide with a small group of people?

If we do a self guided tour, do you think we'll have trouble getting our luggage transported to our next accomodation?

Thanks so much for your help!

County Kerry thinking if a visit in Feb 07
Posted: Tue January 9, 2007 01:50 PM UTC
Hello. My girlfriend and i are thinking of renting a camprvan and driving from dublin to county kerry for the weekend in early February. Since we have limited time and a desire for a romantic time I was wondering if i could tap all your wisdom about where to go....a nice hotel by a lake would be ideal or a place to park the van and "camp" (sleep in the van) for the night by a lake perhaps...any thoughts?

County Kerry Ardacluckeen, what is it in Irish?
Posted: Sun January 7, 2007 09:02 AM UTC
Happy New Year from Tipperary.
A question has popped up on another forum and perhaps you might be able to help. Would you please tell me the Irish version of the townland of Ardacluckeen?
There is a lot of speculation but it will not be closed until we get the Irish version.
I hope you can help.
Regards.
Tom.
