County Kerry B&B last minute availability
Posted: Sun August 30, 2009 08:05 PM UTC
My family is visiting Kerry in late September. We are renting a car and would like to meander around and stay wherever we happen to be in the evening. Are the B&Bs there generally booked solid, or is it possible to find rooms easily? I'm hoping it's like Stratford-upon-Avon, where there are always rooms to be had even in tourist season. I would appreciate any input. Thank you.

Killarney tour times and cost

I was wondering how much a usual tour of the Ross Clan Castle would cost. Also, what are the usual times for the tours, and do you need a reservation?

Kenmare Driving from Shannon to Kenmare
Posted: Mon May 18, 2009 12:46 AM UTC
I'll be driving to Kenmare upon arrival in Shannon late morning (red eye flight). Will be renting a car and wanted to know what to expect - if anything out of the ordinary? Not worried about the driving on the other side of the road. How long of a drive?

Dingle Transportation Help! Kilkenny to Dingle
Posted: Wed January 14, 2009 07:56 PM UTC
Hi, my friend and I plan to travel from Kilkenny to Dingle. We will NOT be renting a car. We will stay 1 night in Kilkenny and next morning go to Rock of Cashel and then onto Dingle. I am hoping there is a bus that goes to Rock of Cashel from Kilkenny. However, I don't know if we should return to Kilkenny to take a train to Tralee, or maybe Killarney? And then bus into Dingle from either of these two cities? Or, is there a bus from Cashel into Dingle?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Tralee Sweater Shop
Posted: Sat November 22, 2008 05:39 PM UTC
Last summer I had the fortune of having a delightful dinner on the 2nd floor of a building and then discovered a wonderful sweater shop on the bottom floor at the bottom of the stairs. I thought the name of the restaurant was Bricins, but I might be wrong. Can anyone please help me identify this great duo.

Killarney Train from Killarney to Dublin or Hire a Driver
Posted: Thu September 11, 2008 01:19 AM UTC
Hello,
My Wife and I will be staying in Killarney for a few days this October before going to Dublin. We are trying to decide if we should take the train to Dublin or hire a driver (we won't have a rental car). The driver is more expensive but will include a tour of the Rock of Cashel. How easy is it to get to travel by train from Killarney to Dublin? Is the Rock of Cashel worth a stop off on the way to Dublin,
Thanks,
HunterP

I would like to rent a bike and cycle the peninsula. Can this be done in a day? What difficulty level is it? Are helmets mandatory? Can I rent a bike for several days? Where is the best place to rent?

Dingle Leaving Dingle on the 29th?
Posted: Thu July 31, 2008 07:51 PM UTC
Hello there!

I need to get to the Shannon Airport for the morning of August 29th. Can anyone suggest some options for me? I am hoping that I don't have to leave Dingle on the 28th, but I might have to. Has anyone taken a taxi to Shannon from Dingle and what kind of cost might I expect?

Cheers

Killarney Pools open to the public
Posted: Sat March 29, 2008 09:54 AM UTC
Hi,

I'm looking for a swimming pool/jacuzzi open to the public in Killarney. I do know several of the spa complexes have special facilities with herbal saunas and fancy showers, but these cost 25 euros to use, and we don't particularly like saunas. Paying 25 euros/$40/£20 just to use the pool and jacuzzi is way too steep. Any suggestions for a less expensive option? Many thanks.

Dingle Traditional Irish music
Posted: Sun March 16, 2008 09:11 AM UTC
Although I've been to Dingle many times, we never stayed overnight there, so I don't know what the music scene is like in the evenings. Any suggestions for first timers? We'd prefer to go to only one place rather than hop around. Thanks very much.

My husband and I along with our 12 year old daughter and her friend are visiting ireland for the first time next week We are staying in Doonmanagh and would love some ideas on places to visit that will interest the girls. They both love wildlife, horses and old churches and monuments. I have looked on line but i think it best to ask people who have been to the area. Any suggestions, we will have a car so travelling around is no problem

Dingle Transpot Shannon to Dingle
Posted: Sun March 9, 2008 09:44 PM UTC
I am traveling from Shannon airport to Dingle to meet up with some friends who will already have a rental car. I am looking for the best mode of transportation to get there in a reasonable time. I have looked at bus and train schedules and the closest drop off for a rental car is Kerry airport. Any suggestions? You may email me directly at cary@generalshiprepair.com

Hi,
I will be in Cork City in a few days and I would like to take a day tour of Dingle (will not be renting a car). Are there any companies you would recommend? I know Bus Eirann offers tours. Any insight you have would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I can't remember the rest of the verse. Is there anyone that can help with this.

Killarney Armagnac
Posted: Sat May 12, 2007 10:09 AM UTC
My husband loves Armagnac, and the past several times when we were in Ireland we scoured the places that sell wines and whiskeys but could not find any (except in bars, but we want to buy a bottle). Does anyone know if it's possible to buy Armagnac in Killarney, and if so, where? Thanks very much.
