Cuenca Retirement Vissa?
Posted: Wed October 14, 2009 08:56 PM UTC
Does anyone know if I am correct about a retirement visa needing documented proof of income of at least $800 per month and $100 for dependants? My husband and I are working on a way to retire there but would not have a pension, just an income which could be documented. Any advice will be great.

Cuenca bus from guyaquil to cuenca
Posted: Wed November 26, 2008 01:07 AM UTC
Im flying into guyaquil and would like to bus to cuenca. The only thing is that I'll have a backpacking backpack full of stuff (I'll be living in Cuenca for 7months). Also, my Spanish is beginning to low intermediate. I'm asking this because I've heard that the buses there can be sketchy.
Do you think it's safe to take the bus ride or should I get a plane? Thanks

Cuenca flights from quito/guayaquil to Cuenca
Posted: Sun October 28, 2007 09:16 PM UTC
Hello all,
Just writing to see if anyone knows about flights from Quito or Guayaquil to Cuenca, Ecuador. I will be flying from the U.S. and I´m having a hard time finding a flight that goes past Quito or Guayaquil. Do you have to purchase another ticket to cuenca ( or any other location within ecuador) apart from the international ticket from the U.S. to ecuador ? thanks for the help.

Cuenca Intercambio (Spanish-English language exchange) in Cuenca, Ecuador?
Posted: Sun August 13, 2006 06:09 AM UTC
Next month (September), I'll be in Cuenca for 2 weeks taking Spanish lessons. During that time, I'd like to meet up with a native Spanish speaker who's interested in a language exchange to improve each other's conversational skills. I don't care if the person is male or female, old or young (but not too young). His or her English skills can be at a beginner level. I'm from Seattle and English (American) is my first language.

I know about the Abraham Lincoln Center and Si Centro which teaches English to Ecuadorians. However, from what I've gathered, most of their English students are young children. I prefer someone a little older.

If anyone knows anyone in Cuenca or a place or Internet site where I can find someone who would like to do a language exchange, please let me know.
