Macao day trip Posted: Mon November 2, 2009 03:15 AM UTC
thanks seagypsy for the advice =) So here's my itenerary for Macao (yes, again revised, I included seagypsy's advice from before).
Thursday November 3, 2009 - Macao
10:00am – arrive @ Macao ferry terminal via Turbojet
10:30 am - Macao grand prix museum
11:30-12:00 nn - go to Lunch (maybe Litoral)
1:30 pm - go to any hotel that has free shuttle going to ferry terminal. From
ferry terminal, ride free shuttle to Venetian Hotel
1:30 pm - Venetian Hotel (window shopping only, picture taking) or take a taxi
from this hotel and go straight to Taipa Village
3:30 pm onwards - Venetian Hotel (Gondola Ride, picture taking, dinner somewhere)
Rest of the evening– Wynn Macao (I decided to put this in the evening because I want to watch the Performance Lake show); Macao Tower (picture taking only), Fisherman's Wharf (picture taking only)
10 pm - Back To Hong Kong via TurboJet
*I decided to skip Senado Square and St Paul’s Ruins because I’ve been there 2x. this time, I want to concentrate on the places that I haven’t been before
Questions:
1)Almost all hotel has free shuttle to ferry terminal, right?
2)How to go to Litoral from Grand Prix Museum? Bus is preferable, since it’s
cheaper. Or maybe bus to Ama temple, then we’ll just walk from Ama temple to
Litoral. Also, is it better to reserve ahead? Or if we’re there by 11:30am,
we’ll have no problem? Thanks!
3)Is thery any website that has an updated bus routes of Macao? I tried the
Macao website, but the routes are in Portuguese, and I don’t understand them.
Thanks!

Lunch
1: 30 pm (?) - Guia Fort
3 pm (?) - Taipa Village / House Museum (Tues-Sun, 10-6pm, $5)
4 pm onwards - Venetian Hotel (shopping, Gondola Ride, picture taking, dinner)
8 pm - Macao Tower 10am-9pm ($90)
* having 2nd thoughts on this. If the view from Guia Fort is the same here,
I’ll be skipping Macao Tower. I’ll probably just take a picture from the outside

view from Guia Fort or Macao Tower Posted: Sun November 1, 2009 12:20 PM UTC
Which view is better, from the top of Guia Fort or MAcao Tower? Because I'm having 2nd thoughts on going in MAcao Tower, since entrance is expensive. So I was thinking, if I can see the same view at Guia Fort, then I won't be going to Macao Tower anymore. Maybe just pass by there to take pictures

Getting to MASTERS Hotel from the Airport Posted: Wed September 23, 2009 10:15 AM UTC
Hi! Need some help here.. I booked a package tour for my family with a local airline here in the Philippines & I have chosen Masters Hotel. However, sadly no airport transfer is included in the package. We will be arriving in Macau at around 10 in the evening on Oct18 and it's our first time to be going there. I have read posts about "free shuttle rides" to the casinos. Would we be able to take advantage of this even if we're arriving that late? If yes, to which casino should we be going? Masters Hotel is located at No. 162 Rua das Lorchas according to their website. I inquired about coach services from an independent travel agency & the "shared" ones cost USD60 already for a group of 5 one-way! I realy look forward to your replies guys. Thanks.:)

Hen Weekend in Macau Posted: Sun August 16, 2009 12:06 AM UTC
Hi,
I wonder if Macau is a place suitable for a hen weekend (hen party, a party for the bride prior to her wedding)? A typical hen party would consists of silly (a bit dirty but harmless) games, lots of drinks, nice food, pampering, beach/relaxing time, lots of young crowds so some available guys to play those silly games with!
I haven't been to Macau for over 15 years so I need some advice!
Many thanks. :)

one day macao trip... doable? Posted: Wed July 22, 2009 01:29 AM UTC
My original plan was to stay in Macao for 2 days one night, but i'm thinking of doing a one day Macao trip. Is it doable?
arrive @ Macao. (Wednesday). Visit Grand Prix Museum.
Guia Fort (is this place really worth it? I don't mind walking until the top to
view Macao)
Venetian Hotel (shopping)
Macao Tower (for viewing purposes only, but still thinking about doing Skywalk
& SkyJump)
Fisherman's Wharf (maybe picture taking only, my friend said the Babylon Casino
is a good place for picture taking only)
Venetian Hotel (yes, again, for ganola ride. My mom really wants this. and casino)

Macau Itinerary.... Posted: Sun July 19, 2009 12:07 PM UTC
I'll be going to Macau (Nov 4-5 2009, will be staying at Best Western.. i think..) and visit the ff places: (I've been to the other tourists spots)
1) Fishersman's Wharf (Underground Amusement Center, Volcano Archive, Babylon
Casino, picture taking, window shopping)
2) Macao Tower (Skywalk X & SkyJump, viewing)
3) Venetian Hotel (Gondola Ride, windw shopping)
4) Guia Fort (walking)
5) Grand Prix Museum (viewing)
6) Taipa House Museum & Taipa Village (still thinking about it...)
Will 2 days be enough for this? or just 1 1/2 day? So at least I'll have an idea on what time my mom and I will go back to HK. I don't want to have a rush trip.. so I'm against a one-day Macao trip.

Free shuttle in macao Posted: Sun June 7, 2009 01:53 AM UTC
I've read a lot of postings saying that several casinos and hotels in macau offers free shuttle to go from one place to another. Is this really free for all, meaning anybody who wants to use it anytime, or is this for in-house guests only?
Thanks!

Complimentary Shuttle Bus & Zhuhai Posted: Sat April 11, 2009 04:44 PM UTC
Hi, I will be visiting Macau in May & I have a few questions that I hope you guys can help me with :
1) Does anyone have a list / table of the complimentary shuttle bus service
from all the major hotels in Macau? Like I know the Venetian has free
shuttle bus from the Airport, Macau Ferry Terminal & Sands Hotel. How about
other Hotels?
2) I'm holding a Singapore Passport, do I need a VISA to go to Zhuhai? Do I
need to have Renminbi (CNY) or will HK$ suffice? Where is the nearest
Supermarket in Zhuhai that I can buy the "Cha Cha" brand sunflower seed?
Thanks!
