Accomodation in Essaouira Posted: Thu July 13, 2006 09:44 PM UTC
Hi there,
Im coming to visit Essaouria around the 27th July.
With my girlfriend.
Im looking for somewhere to stay.
Ive done a little bit of research and found all sorts of apartments and riads etc, but i havnt really had any recommendations from people who have actually stayed there.
I looked at JAcks Kiosk for apartment and they have very nice for 65euro. But this is MUCH TOO much for me. Ok for a few days but i intend to stay there for 3 weeks.
I thought that mb an apartment might be cheaper than a hotel, but im thinking that I can get a much better deal in a hotel for less than 65 euro.
However Im still thinking that i can find a good deal on an apartment.
Im wishing to stay 3 weeks.
To relax. with my girlfriend who i havnt seen for 3 months.
Im not looking for anything luxurious, but it must be comfortable.
Ive stayed in Essaouria before - i think at the Hotel Des Remparts - anbd this was fine and fun - but this was not with my girlfriend and im thinking that mb it would be good idea to find somewhere nicer. But this place did have atmosphere - however Im not so sure if my idea of ATMOSPHERE is alwaysl my girlfriends idea of atmosphere.
So would you have any recommendations of either apartment or hotel or guest house?
Many thanks,
Chris

Oualidia? Posted: Mon June 5, 2006 10:36 PM UTC
Hi,
I am currently staying in Essaouira for 3 nights. Is 4 nights too long? Is Oualidia a good place to visit? Do you have any other suggestions for a day trip from Essouira?
Finally, how much would a taxi be from Essouira to Oualidia?
Thank you.

Essaouira Friday 21/04/2006 Posted: Thu April 13, 2006 01:52 PM UTC
A couple of quick questions re: Essaouira.
We're arriving late Friday night (23:00) Will there still be places open to eat?
Also, we are only in Essaoira for 1 week onlt and would like to visit Marrakesh.
How easy is this? Ideally we would like to stay 1 night in Marrakesh so we can visit Jemaa el Fna.
Any help would be appreciated.

Accomodation Needed: 23, 24, 25, August Posted: Thu March 23, 2006 10:30 PM UTC
We are a family that are coming to Morocco this summer. We are two adults and 3 children ( aged 15, 12 and 10 ).
We would like to find a place to stay in Essaouira for the nights of 23, 24, 25 August 2006. We are not looking for anything too grand, just a nice place to stay that at a fair price. We would also love to have the opportunity to meet with ordinary Moroccan people, perhaps even the opportunity for the boys to play some football as well.
If you have availability for these dates can you please confirm the details by email ( price per person per night or price per room ) and say what is included in the price etc.
If you have a web page can you please provide the address or email a few photo's of the Hotel / Room / Gite etc
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Sparra

Essaouira info Posted: Tue January 31, 2006 01:43 PM UTC
Hi
We are having our honeymoon in Morroco in March. A week in Marakesh and then a week in Essaouira. Looking forward to it and we want to make the most of our trip.
Can anyone recommend any good day trips from either place?
We are staying at the Riad Dar Loulema - does anyone have an experience of this riad?
Thanks for your help - much appreciated!

Honeymoon In September Posted: Thu January 27, 2005 10:05 PM UTC
Hello, I am planning my honeymoon at the beg of Sept in Morocco. We are planning on doing 5 days ish in Essaouria and then onto Marrckech. I know their is a good breeeze on the coast but will this breeze make it to windy to relax on the beach if i dont want to do watersports. I wanted a few days at a beach resort to relax but dont want somewhere really windy that would prevent this? Are there any rules on sunbathing because of the culture and religion - would i be able to wear a swimsuit on the beach? Thanks, Emma

Essaouira in September? Posted: Tue June 8, 2004 05:27 PM UTC
Hi
Could anyone tell me if September (2nd half of the month) would be a good time to visit? What would the weather be like? Good for beach chilling and water sports?
Is surfing the only activity that can be done here, or is there other stuff? Is there anything to see snorkelling or is the Atlantic too big and cold?!
thanks a lot

getting to and from Essaouira Posted: Wed August 13, 2003 01:30 AM UTC
I am traveling with my mom for one week in November in Morocco. We have decided to do a loop that includes Casablanca to Marrakech to Essaouira back to Casablanca. We are planning to take the train from Casablanca to Marrakech. My question concerns transportation from Marrakech to Essaouira to Casablanca, as there are no rail links to Essaouira. I understand that shared taxis are a common form of getting around, but I am not familiar with them. Are shared taxis available for these great distances? Are they efficient? Or are there other recommended modes of travel between these particular cities? Any experiences or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :-)
