Hi, I'll be in Nha Trang from the 2nd Nov. Is there a market there where I can buy shirts (Polo's or similar) at a reasonable price. I don't want to pack too much if I can avoid it.

My boyfriend and I are going to Vietnam in November for 16 days, and we plan to visit the following:
Hanoi (8 days, incl Sa Pa og Halong Bay), flight to Nha Trang (3-4 days), bus to Ho Chi Minh (4 days, incl tur på Mekong).

But we are in doubt if we should fly to Dalat (2 days) and then go to Phan Thiet (2 days) instead of Nha Trang.
Could someone please help me define the pros and cons for the two places?
Are there e.g. nice beaches in Phan Thiet, compared to Nha Trang?
And what about the rain in Nov?

Hi! We are planning on going to Nha Trang for 1 week, potentially longer if the internet in this area is reliable. We need to access the net 24/7 in order to work & we are hoping to do this in a beach town. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are regular power outages or brown outs in this area.

We are planning on staying at the Novotel Nha Trang, which says that you have access to the internet in all the rooms...can anyone confirm this? Also does anyone have any feedback on this hotel? Any recommendations on other hotels around $50-$75 USD? If we are looking to rent for 1-2 months is it better to arrange this once we're there?

Any words of advice are greatly appreciated!!!

do they have sea sports(jet skies),in December or is the sea to rough for it.Do they have these facilities in Nha Trang beach or do you have to go to the island.how do they charge.apart from the beaches and seafood anything else nice in Nha Trang?

I read so much about people saying seafood cooked on the beach by the vendors is relly cheap.As this really appeals to me I would like to know how much I should pay in regards to lobster, crabs, squid etc.

we are looking for accommodation in Nha Trang for a couple of nights and also Mui Ne. So far in Vietnam we have been paying about 20-25 USD per night for the room, with air con etc. I would love to hear if anyone has any recommendations, we are happier to pay a bit more money for something that is really good, with swimming pool, great location etc...

I am planning on staying in the NT area for about 8 weeks between Jan 1 and March 31. Rather than staying in a hotel, I'd like to find an apartment so I can get a better idea of what it's like to live there since I'm thinking of retiring in that area. I've been looking for apartment rentals without much success. I found a couple of them and sent emails but no reply so far. Anyone have connections in the area that might be able to provide info? There seems to be some disagreement on the rainy seasons in Vietnam - can anyone advise if September is good in Nha Trang? They seem to have the best weather for most of the year, and I'd like to spend some good beach time on my trip. I'll be in Ho Chi Minh too, and I believe that the rain is mainly in the afternoon during September? Any help would be much appreciated!

Is there a new water park in Nha Trang, or has it always been there or is there not one there at all?
I was there in 2005 and didnt see one. but when I looked at some of vietnams 360 degree landscape pictures..I saw what looked like a new water park.

Has anybody been to this resort? How would you rate it? How far is it from Nha Trang? We are 2 adults and 3 children planning for 6 days in Nha trang in July. We looked at Whale Island and it is really expensive for the 5 of us. Would this be a good alternative? Can we easily go to Nha trang for a taste of the town and side trips to the My Son area? Any alternative suggestions would be welcome.

Does anyone know any information about Jungle Beach. Supposedly it's 56km north of Nha Trang. Any info. or tips would be appreciated. Is it better to scuba dive in Nha Trang or Mui Ne? What's there to do in Nha Trang if you don't want to go to the beach? Or should we skip Nha Trang and head to Phan Thiet/Mui Ne area? Thanks a bunch.

I'll be in Nha Trang for a few days and am wanting to get a suit and a couple of business shirts made - is there anywhere in Nha Trang that cn do this quickly and professionally and a relatively good price. If not, I understand that Hoi An is ideal, though I'm not sure we'll have time to get up there - would like to for the town as well though - what is the quickest way to get up there and how much does it cost? - and is it reasonable to travel up there for one day return, if we're going to also try getting a suit made? (we've booked ourselves into a resort in Nha Trang which we'd prefer to base ourselves in)

We're planning on staying at Ana Mandara at the end of March/early April. If I book through my travel agent it would cost me about $60(USD) less a night, than if I went online to a website called www.precisionreservtions.com - has anyone used this site, and what were your impressions? Also, when I wrote to the resort directly, they said that they didn't have any rooms avaliable during this period, but my agent has got one fine, and this website seems to think they are avaliable - do they say they're not avaliable because they have travel agents book the rooms first, and if they don't fill them through the agents, they then offer to the general public? Am keen to get the room for a good price, but want it to be a sure thing

I'm wanting to book a deluxe double room at the Vinpearl resort in Nha Trang - i've been talking with someone there through an email provided on the website, and they tell me that to reserve the room I want, I need to photocopy both sides of my credit card, and fax this with a filled out form to the address (they also mentioned that they wanted me to a new email address - info@vinpearlland.com, instead of the one originally provided - reservation@vinpearlresort.com). It all feels a bit weird to be honest. Does anyone have any experience with this place, booking a room in advance, paying on arrival etc.? is it possible to turn up (late March, early April), and get a room without having pre-booked?
