Distrito de Coimbra bus from Pampilhosa to Luso-Buçaco
Posted: Fri November 30, 2007 11:41 AM UTC
Hello

Saturday 8th December I am arriving by train to Pampilhosa from Irun. I want to take a bus to Luso-Buçaco to visit the forest, the battlefield of Busaco and visit the museum.

The train service is not very good and I am unable to find bus timetables for the area. The link I tried does not work?

Can any locals please tell me times or would it be better to take the bus from Coimbra.

Many Thanks

James

Distrito de Coimbra Tabua
Posted: Sat May 26, 2007 05:49 PM UTC
Hi,

I am thinking of coming here for a week in October and would like to know the best way of getting to this area.As i see it i can either fly to Porto or Faro, the problem is i either have a long journey to a UK airport to get to Porto, or a local airport near to my home can get me to Faro. How long would it take to drive from Faro to Tabua, and is the road network of a good standard eg motorway?
Many thanks

Coimbra Quick (very quick) stop in Coimbra
Posted: Sat April 7, 2007 11:46 AM UTC
I was thinking that it would be nice to get a very quick peek in Coimbra, getting off the train on the way to Porto from Lisbon and then hopping on again. If we want to just take a quick look at the churches, university, etc., would two hours, maybe three, be enough? I know we won't get a great overview or anything, but we don't have much time in Porto so we can't stay too long.

What could be done in two hours in the town?

Thanks!

Hi. I'm going to Lisbon next week and on my way to Porto I'd like to stop in Coimbra. Does anyone know if there's a luggage deposit in one of Coimbra's stations (train and bus)?. Thanks. Andrea

Posted: Wed May 12, 2004 07:46 PM UTC
Hi, does anyone out there live in Coimbra/know it well!/or even know anyone who does live there? I'm desperately trying to find out some details about the football stadium there! If anyone can help, I need to know the gate numbers to enter the stadium at the right hand end of the stadiumas you look at the pitch from the players tunnel, the end that is covered by the roof. Hope someone can help, just a long shot, thanks

São Paulo Sao Paulo

What problems could I encounter hanging out in Sao Paulo. I always hear a lot of horror stories about Sao Paulo's crime. I am a Black American, do you think I should be worried that I would be targeted, or do you think I can blend in with the crowd, and not worry about what everybody is saying about Sampa.
