I am travelling to Nairobi, Kenya via Addis Ababa (Ethiopian air). We have a 7 hour lay over at the ADD airport. If we are not leaving the airport during the lay over,, do we still need a visa? My travel agent said no, while the Ethiopian Embassy said yes. Can anyone clear this for me?

Hi there,
Flying ethiopian airlines from London to Tanzania, I will arrive in Addis Ababa airport 8:25 AM and leave again 2:55 AM the same night. 1) Is it realistic to get into the city and back to the airport the same day? 2) Will I be able to find transportation back to the airport after midnight? 3) What should I see/experience on a one-day visit?
