Can anyone tell me the best way to travel from Luxor to Hurghada. I will be staying at Albatros Golf Club Resort in Hurghada. Their are flights from Luxor to Hurghada via Cairo and take about 6 hours. Looking for road transport and if possible how much do they charge.

First posting on here so hello to everyone!

We have bought an apartment in Hurghada which is being built and should be ready by December 2008. This is primarily an investment to rent out but we will hopefully find time to make use of the apartment ourselves. I have however noticed that flights into Sharm El-Sheikh seem to be significantly cheaper than flights into Hurghada. I therefore wondered if it would be cost effective to fly in and out of Sharm and get the 1.5hr ferry that runs between Sharm and Hurghada?

Alternatively,does anyone have details of cheap flights from UK (manchester/liverpool)?

Some friends of mine are having trouble locating flights to Hurghada. Ideally they would like to fly out of the U.S. west coast, however, it looks like they will plan on flying to a location in Europe then buying separate tickets for the flight to and from Hurghada. Does anyone know of a good website that lists flights to Hurghada or have any other suggestions?

I am flying from Engand to Hurgarda for a weeks holiday on the 21ST January 2008 and will be staying for two nights at the Minamark hotel,Sakala area.I would be gratefull for any feedback on the following questions.
Does anyone have any feedback for this hotel
What should i expect to pay for a taxi to the hotel from airport.
What electricity plug adaptors do i need
What is the temperature at night,do i need warm clothing,
Can you recommend any trips to various places

We re going to El Gouna for Christmas. Is there any shore fishing in and around El Gouna/ Hurghada? Is fishing allowed in the marina? We have searched online, and all that seems to be on offer is deep sea fishing. Fly fishing would be ok, but where?

On 29th december I am going to Hurghada , staying at TRITON EMPIRE HOTEL . Can anyone tell me what means all inclusive at this hotel? Can anyone tell me the facultative programs where is cheaper to buy? at what agencies? Can I find good quality perfume ? at what price?

I'd very much appreciate precise info on how/where to book a mentioned flight. Is going to the airport neccessary or it can be done in local turist agencies? Any ideas if I could take of in the mornings grom Hurghada and return in the evening (flight schedule)? Also, some tips on budget yet not a lousy accomodation @ Luxor possible???

I plan to stay at Hurghada Long Beach Resort Hilton in august. Is there a special dress code at the hotel? For example: could I have a lunch dressed in beach wear?

Are the summer nights in Hurghada chilly or warm? Do I have to bring a warmer clothes?

Hi travelling to Hurghada in 2 weeks and staying at Zahabia resort. has anyone syaed there and whats it like? Also want to visit Cairo, and a trip on the Nile. Has anyone any information, name of travel agency that I can use to arrange the trips, preferably guided.

We are going to the Makadi Palace for a week shortly and my daughter is planning scuba diving for 2 or 3 days then (has PADI AOW certificate and 15 dives). Rather than having to travel in to Hurgada each, we are considering diving with Aquarius (at the Royal Azur).

Has anybody any experience of them? Alternatively any other diving operation to recommend?

I am confused by this concept? how much Livre do you tip to each person who helps you - whats the average tip so we can make sure we get the accurate change..
like if we go scuba, do how much do we tip the person who takes us out compare to the people who take us on a tour to the pyramids.

i stayed in the mariot last year and visited what the rep called the walking district. took a taxi there then walked back after realizing it wasnt as far away as i was led to believe. i had a map but lost it. i would like to take my family on holiday to hurghada next year the beach was lovely but the pool at the hotel is not really suitable (far too deep)and the one at the spa too shallow but with sudden drop for dive training. does anyone know of a good hotel near the walking district that is suitable for a family of varying ages who love the pool and beach and shopping? also where is the walking district as i cant find out now im home? is it sakalla?

Hello all, can anyone help me with the following question. We travel through the Sinai from Taba to Shark el Sheikh and think of crossing the red sea to visit Hurghada. We found the official boat but that cost 250 LE a person. We are with a family of 4 people so thats kinds expensive. Does anyone have cheaper but also safe ideas? It would be a great help.

Can anyone tell me what the best way to take an excursion from Hurghada to Luxor would be? Taxi? Is there a train? Also, rough idea of price, and is this do-able in one day?
