Hello Hurgada lovers!
I nead help deciding in which hotel to go. This is my 5th visit and would like to go to some nice hotel, with lovely beach and OK food. Nothing much. And a distance from Sakala is not of great importance.
The hotels are:

- Hilton plaza
- Hilton long beach
- Pyramisa hasheesh
- Coral sea
- Sea star or
- Sunny days Palacio

All hotels are 5* and Ai, but would like to read your impressions. I am most interested in last 4.

first thing is what hotel or resort would u prefer for singles ? i meani dun need palces full of families as i'm still 22
second what pubs , and clubs would u recommend ?
third do i need to a girl to get into clubs there ? coz i'm going with my college mate

we are planing to be 2 weeks in Hurghada including Nil boat cruise. During our stay in Hurghada we were thinking of Hotel Paradise Golden 5. As much I know there are 5 hotels. I have read many posts and have to say I am a bit confused. Some people say it is great one (paradise golden 5) and some say it was disaster. Is there anyone of you who have bean recently in this hotel? What are your expiriences? Please help, need to confirm booking in three days. Thanks in advance!

Hello, my husband and i are going to hurghada in a couple of weeks. I know that i can purchase my visa once we land at the airport but I'm unsure about my husband as he has a ukrainian passport (with a 2 year spouse visa for the UK). I can't talk with anyone at the Egyptian Embassy as its all recorded messages.

we have been to sharm, looking at going to hurghada this year,we are planning on going in early october with two children but have heard that its not as hot as sharm at this time of year and alot windier in hurghada.

I am leaving for Hurghada in two days. I am so excited. I am going with a group of 15 divers from Croatia. I would love to go to Luxor by myself or perhaps with some of my friends, but I read a lot of things about tourist travelling by public busses. So, can it be done? What would you reccomend me? The agency proposed us a day tryp and it costs 60 EUR....I believe it is too expensive.Can somebody tell me the time schedules ( I would return the same day). How much does it cost?

Does anyone knows something about this hotel? I have hurd that there`s a gread difference in quality if you have a room in the main building or in the bungalows.

My husband and 3 year old daughter are planning on going to Makadi Bay (close to Hurghada) in july or october and stay at the Grand Makadi. I have two questions:
1. Is it too hot in july? Is it better to go in october?
2. Has any one stayed at the Grand Makadi and can give us some feedback on the hotel and beach there?

Can anyone compare new Steingenberger hotel in Hurghada with Three corners ocean`s view or Movenpick in El Gouna?
I sow some bad reviews of Steingerberger in Hurghada, and am wondering if it`s better to go to El Gouna`s Movenpick?

I will be there for a week from Apr 5th. Staying at the Sinbad resort.
Is anyone stayed at that resort before?
Also would be nice to hang out maybe...let me know if you visitin g at the same time as me.

As I understand it, Hurghada compared with Sharm El sheikh, has more character, has more city life and is less sterile. Hurghada also seems to be better placed for visitiing Cairo, Luxor and other places on the Nile. I also understand that both places are good bases for diving. On the other hand Sharm, I hear is less windy. however It looks like Hurghada, for me is the bet place to go. Is there anything wrong with my uneducated conclusions? Can anyone confirm or deny any of this?

We are going on a vacation i n HUrhgada next monthe and we definitely want to go to papas beach and ministry of sound.but we have not found a hotel yeat. Should we better stay at a hotel which is 20 km away from hurghada or we better find one which is near those two party centers? Thyank you

I was wondering if there is a place in Hurghada that you can purchase gold or silver from for a reasonable price. I have seen that there are places in Cairo, but I was wanting to purchase it in Hurghada instead of having to travel to Cario for this. Is there a specific place that you could recommend for this?? Also if you could recommend some other good shopping areas for general shopping, that would be awsome.

Is there anyone can tell me how to get from sharm or sharm airport to hurghada from 8pm? I lknow about the IFF but it leaves sharm at 6pm which is no good for me. Any idea would be great.

I'm try to plan a vacation in either Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh. I've heard both places are nice but i don't know much about them. The most important thing i want in this vacation is a safe place to scuba dive and relax on the beach. I'm looking to go the week of March 9th. I also would like to stay at an affordable but nice resort (4-5 star), possibly an all inclusive. And if possible, i would like to take a day trip to see pyramids. Please let me know any suggestions!

Can anyone tell me the best way to travel from Luxor to Hurghada. I will be staying at Albatros Golf Club Resort in Hurghada. Their are flights from Luxor to Hurghada via Cairo and take about 6 hours. Looking for road transport and if possible how much do they charge.

First posting on here so hello to everyone!

We have bought an apartment in Hurghada which is being built and should be ready by December 2008. This is primarily an investment to rent out but we will hopefully find time to make use of the apartment ourselves. I have however noticed that flights into Sharm El-Sheikh seem to be significantly cheaper than flights into Hurghada. I therefore wondered if it would be cost effective to fly in and out of Sharm and get the 1.5hr ferry that runs between Sharm and Hurghada?

Alternatively,does anyone have details of cheap flights from UK (manchester/liverpool)?

Some friends of mine are having trouble locating flights to Hurghada. Ideally they would like to fly out of the U.S. west coast, however, it looks like they will plan on flying to a location in Europe then buying separate tickets for the flight to and from Hurghada. Does anyone know of a good website that lists flights to Hurghada or have any other suggestions?

I am flying from Engand to Hurgarda for a weeks holiday on the 21ST January 2008 and will be staying for two nights at the Minamark hotel,Sakala area.I would be gratefull for any feedback on the following questions.

What should i expect to pay for a taxi to the hotel from airport.
What electricity plug adaptors do i need
What is the temperature at night,do i need warm clothing,
Can you recommend any trips to various places

We re going to El Gouna for Christmas. Is there any shore fishing in and around El Gouna/ Hurghada? Is fishing allowed in the marina? We have searched online, and all that seems to be on offer is deep sea fishing. Fly fishing would be ok, but where?
