Hello All, This is my first time posting on this forum. I hope to get some feedback about these 2 resorts. I am planning my honeymoon in Thailand and wanted to know which of these 2 Resorts are more luxurious. I am looking for a quiet romantic 7 day trip. I looked through the pictures for both resorts and I love the vibes I am getting from Santhiya. Fro several reviews I gathered that Santiburi is also really great but I feel the rooms in Santhiya or Melati are much bigger and many have attached private pools. Whic of the 3 resorts would you recomend for an ultimate honeymoon getaway?

Can anyone tell me the name and or email address of the art gallery below the Nora Cahweng hotel. Saw a painting there I loved and regret not buying it at the time. Really want to buy it now!
Where to stay Posted: Wed November 4, 2009 07:10 AM UTC
Hi,
I have just booked a flight to Phuket for next Tuesday for myself and my partner. But have absolutely no idea where to stay. I've looked up Asianrooms.com and there are so many different hotels to choose from. I have no idea where to start.
We love snorkelling, It would be lovely to stay on a beach front or somewhere very near, we don't really like partying into the night, but would like to be near some food places, bars etc, Our budget is low to mid range. But fancy a hotel rather than back packing this time.
Hi I am heading back to Ko Saumi in November 2010 to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary.
Last time we were there it was July. I understand November is the wet season but I was wondering what the weather is generally like? Does it rain all the time or is there sunshine and heavy downfalls?
I was also wondering what people may suggest as must see's. We did alot of the the tourist stuff last time but I am sure we missed things.
So me and my best friend are going to phuket for 1-2 weeks some where between june 2010 - sept 2010. We will both be 24 and looking to enjoy the beach and go sight seeing during the day and then go out and party it up at night.
What are some of the best hotels to stay at on the beach that are close to the best night life??
Also any any advise or tips will be much appreciated!
2nd posting of the same query.

Anyone on the forum - spent a holiday here - views please.
ideas for day trips as well.
we are a family - mum,dad, 2 daughters - a teen and a 6year old.

Just need a bit of clarification...Is Rassada pier right in Phuket town? If so, can we take a mini bus from the airport into town and walk to the pier or is it better to take a taxi and go directly to the pier (trying to stay on a budget)? Is it better to book my ferry tickets in advance or should we just buy them when we get to the pier? We will be arriving mid-December. Thanks!
Me and my husband are travelling to Phuket mid of December for one week (part of pur Asia trip). We have been to Thailand before but this would be our first time in Phuket. My question is where to find the best beach for swimming and some relaxation. We are trying to avoid very noisy and touristic beach stuffed with people, jetskis and speedboats. For us a quite beach with some local restaurangs would do. I've read on the net about Kata Noi. Would that be your choice or? Please help us find our little paradise on Phuket. Thanks!!!
Hi-Posted previously but should have been more specific-would like to stay a few days in Patong (already have hotel) then possible Karon or Kata Beach hotel around restaurants and a bit of shopping-Budget 75-125 US- thanks for previous answers as well-favorite places to book hotel rooms?? 32 days to go!!!! thanks darla
Hi everyone!
Hoping to head to Phuket (Patong!) with the wife and 3 kids (18,12,9) in early April '10 for 3 weeks.
Have done much researching and gathered invaluable help from these forums. What I'm looking for is some recommendations for hotels/apartments that can accommodate five without the need for two rooms which tends to blow the budget! Priorities are a resort style pool
close proximity to shopping & all the action
& preferably a bit of 'Thai' influence in the decor/architecture (don't wish to feel like we're in Melbourne!)
A view would be nice too
Budget around $125-150 AUD per night. Will stretch this for right property.
I know it's a lot to ask for the money but fingers crossed you guys can help!!
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Hi there, it's our first time to go to phuket,we are planning to go 25th of november, with our 2 kids 8 and 4 years, we are looking for good beach for swimming in a safe place that is not very crowded, could someone pls. help as we don't know where to book ( actually i don't even know what are the places or the beaches that i can choose from :) some help pls; ?). I would also apreciate some talk about the weather as my wife can't tolerate the hot weather and she gets headache very fast. Thanks a lot.
Hi, Using miles to stay at Impiana for 3 days but then need other hotel for 4 days in Phuket-budget is approx $75-125(US) in Nov. I'm soooo confused where to stay-any suggestions? Need nice pool, within walking distance of shops, rest. ect. but quiet-good breakfast- thanks so much, Darla
I am travelling to Phuket in December and wanted to know should I take AUS$ as well as travellers cheques? The bank fees are expensive $5 per ATM txn and then 3% conversion fee for using an ATM. I am going to pay for the accomodation when I get there and this is around AUD%5000-00. Best advice appreciated.
Recently i visited Phuket and was talked into becoming a member of asian travel club.they offer discounted accamodation in various hotels and resorts around the world.the membership fee is not cheap a few thousand dollars for a 10 year membership.I would like to know from anyone if they have heard about asian travel club or is a member, and is it a genuine travel club and not one of these scams one reads about.would appreciate honest feedback
Finally I've shortlisted the below hotels based on reviews and VT pages:
I plan to stay 3 nights with my husband who wishes to have a beach facing property which is close / walking distance to night life.
1.Burasari Resort
2.Seaview Patong Hotel (I dont think this is available)
3.Club Bamboo Resort
4.Andaman Beach Suites Hotel
5.Mercure Patong Phuket
6.Banthai Beach Resort & Spa (seems over my budget, but if you all recomend then i can try)
Im looking for an acco which is not too far off from all the activities and to-do's in phuket and is located at the beach front and costs around 2000THB incl ABF and taxes.
any recomendations are welcome. I may stretch little on budget is rooms are carpeted etc.
I've read in the forums that patong is where all action is karon somewhere in middle and Kata quiet. but still dont know which acco i shud take.
Hi there,
Has anyone flown from Krabi to Phuket ? I think there is Air Andaman who now flys to & from but I cant get onto their website,we have booked our accom & Doing Bkk, Krabi (Ao Nang) then to Koh Lanta then need to get to Phuket. Have been to Thailand before but no Krabi & Koh Lanta...... leaving on 23/11/09
Cheers

Myself and my partner, will be staying at the Karon Beach Resort in February 2010. Having read information about Karon, there doesn't seem to be a vast amount to do or see during the day. (ie, shops, restaurants)
Can anyone tell me what Karon Beach has in way of facilities?
We didnt want to stay in the heart of Patong, but we also dont want to stay somewhere that is too quiet.
We are a young couple, who like to be occupied.
Any help with the above, would be greatly appreciated.
Guys, am travelling to phuket tomorrow..can anyone let me know hows the weather there currently..Is it raining heavily out there..Can i take a trip to Phi Phi in the rainy season..Is it safe?
Hi everyone,
Just wondering, Im not too keen on organised tours, is it possible to rent a motorbike from Ao Nang to make the trip to the hot springs and emerald pool, or would I need to rent a car for that trip?
Also, although its not my cup of tea, my partner wants to do an elephant trek. Does anyone know which is better - the one near Ao Nang or the one on Ko Lanta? i.e better experience, better treatment of elephants, nicer trek etc etc?
