We are planning to spend a day or 2 in Gothenburg anytime during December. Please suggest me for really beautiful scenic places to see. May be waterfalls, mountains, lakes, etc. Would that be open during December?
Also any Indian restaurants in Gothenburg?

Göteborg accommodation for october
Posted: Sun August 31, 2008 12:47 PM UTC
Hi

My hubby and I are off to Goteborg in October, we were wondering the prices of food, drinks and general cost of living out there. How much would it be for a meal and bottle of wine, a beer etc. A friend has come back from Norway and was paying £40 for a bottle of wine and £10 for a pint of beer which is far too expensive!!

Also can anyone recommend nice but not to expensive accommodation.

Thankyou.

Göteborg Prices
Posted: Thu December 20, 2007 04:59 AM UTC
Hey guys, I'm heading to Göteborg in late January with 3 friends. All I hear about is how expensive everything is.
I'm from Dublin, which is hardly the cheapest place in the world. Will I notice a dent in my wallet or am I already used to it?
For instance, how much is a pint/330ml or a meal?

Also, if anyone can suggest anything that we must do, I am open to offers.

Thanks a lot guys

Göteborg Christmas buffet and what to do?
Posted: Mon December 3, 2007 07:39 PM UTC
Hi there, I will be in Goteborg for Christmas and New year. I wonder where I can have those traditional Swedish Christmas buffet? Anywhere you can recommend? Not so expensive please...

And is there any short trips (1 or 2 days) outside town I should go for a visit? Or just can you give me some suggestions in what to do during my two weeks in Goteborg? People have suggested me to go to Copenhagen as it is very close, is it so?

Thanks very much for your suggestions.

Göteborg Christmas market visit
Posted: Tue November 13, 2007 09:11 AM UTC
I'm traveling to Goteborg on 05-12-07 (December) arriving at the city airport at 21:00 (9:00 PM) and will be staying at the Ibis hotel (the boat) for two nights, then taking the train to Oslo on 07-12-07 in the morning (7:00) (7 AM).

My questions are:

What is the easiest way to get to the Christmas market at Lisberg? (I understand you take the #5 tram from downtown--is that correct?). Also, can anyone recommend what to do in a single day in Goteborg--apparently browsing the streets and visiting the natural history museum are two things to do--but also I understand there are some interesting cafes and architectural areas.
Lastly, how difficult (and safe) is it to walk to the Ibis from the train station late at night in the winter in Goteborg--and if not safe, how do I get there--a taxi? a bus? a tram?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Göteborg The Natural History Museum!
Posted: Thu June 28, 2007 05:24 PM UTC
Hi,

I've read that the 'stuffed' blue whale here is the only one of it's kind in the world? True? (www.gnm.se)

Worth a peek?

Off course, whilst in the area, I'll chk out the old Stock Exchange & views from the 'red lipstick' bldg :)

Other sights worth a glance in the immediate vicinity please?

Thank you.

Göteborg Goteborg 22-28 July
Posted: Sat June 9, 2007 12:25 AM UTC
Hi

I will visiting Gbg on 22 till 28 July, but I still in doubt.
I am going from Amsterdam.. I'm in doubt whether I take the flight or go by bus.

How to reach the centre of Gbg from Airport ( landvetter ) and bus station ( Nills Erriccsson )

I will stay in youth hostel, can somebody recomend me the hostel that located in the centre of Gbg?

And how to travel around Gbg? the tram? how much the ticket cost? it is per zone, or can I pay on board?

What about the Gothenburg Pass? it is only valid 24 hours? and what benefits from that Pass?

And the foods.. it is expensive there? anyway I prefer to eat fastfood ( McD, Burger King..etc )

Hope anybody can help me.

Tack!
