Pattaya Pattaya hotel name reminder
Posted: Sat May 17, 2008 08:22 PM UTC
Could someone remind me the name of the hotel, it looks like couple of big boats, around soi 6?

Also any recommendation for resort hotels in Jomtien beach?

We are going to Pattaya in the end of June, hope this is a low season(?) we can all take advantage with.

Thanks!

Bangkok Tour Guide
Posted: Sat May 17, 2008 07:43 AM UTC
Visiting Bangkok for two days and as there is so much to see could anyone recommend a 'honest' tour guide who will not take us shopping (for his commission) just touring round the city -- Also is it best to tour on foot via skytrain etc rather than car?]
Thank you in advance

Bangkok inn / hotel / apartment near Chivasom Academy in Sukhumvit?
Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 06:12 PM UTC
hey, me again! :) just booked my ticket to bangkok in november. will be staying for 11 nights as i'll be studying in chivasom academy on sukhumvit 63 for a little more than a week. we're looking for a place to stay at that's near Chiva-Som Academy in Modern Town Building on Sukhumivt 63.

Originally planned to stay at Sawasdee Inn Sukhumvit on Sukhumvit 57 but we're having second thoughts since i saw on a couple of maps that this could still be too far to walk and also because of the not-so-good reviews i saw online. But seeing that we'll be staying for 11 days, we want to keep our accomodation costs under THB800-THB1000 a night.

Can anyone give me any tips on where to stay? or maybe an estimate on how long a walk it would be from Sawasdee to Soi 63 ifever we decide to book there? We're also considering just getting any cheap hotel that's near a BTS station since i think i can walk to Chivasom from the Ekkamai station.

Any help will be appreciated! Thank you, thank you! :D

Pattaya View Talay Holiday Resort
Posted: Wed May 7, 2008 11:59 AM UTC
Hi,

Does anyone know anything about the View Talay Holiday Resort. We have 7 nights there which we got from an ebay sale but are having trouble trying to find a lot of information on it. I have previously requested similar information on here but (Computer stupid as I am) have been able to find the question to see if there were any responses so I aplogise if you are reading this again. Would REALLY appreciate any information though as the most I could find was a couple of negative experiences so I am hoping this is not all that is out there.
Cheers

I am traveling to Asia in June and have a two day layover in Bangkok. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a reputable place to buy a diamong engagement ring? Would I be able to purchase something significantly less than in the U.S.? I am looking for something under the $1,500 USD (48,000 Baht). Thanks in advance.
