Yaounde Renting room (urgent)

I'm in urgent lookout for a room to rent in Yaounde, only must is to live together with other people, to eat with in the night and have some new contacts (maybe also to travel around a bit with). Preferably living with western people.

I will need to get from Doula to Yaounde next week. I will like to rent car to drive from Doula to Yaounde, and how long will it take to drive?

Yaounde Night life and a small excursion?

Hello,

I will be attending a conference for a few days in Yaounde. Can someone tell me about the nightlife around the Mercur hotel? Bars and hang outs? Good food places that are not too expensive?

Also, I will have about a day in which I will be able to take an excursion. Any advice on where and how?
