We have a medical case, a young guy that is here in the US but wants to travel home to Sri Lanka. He will need to be placed in a mental institution for evaluation before be allowed to go home. Can anyone help me with some suggestions of Mental Hospitals that I might be able to call to see if we can get him a bed? Any help is appreciated as he and his family want him to come home.
Villa Rental Posted: Tue August 25, 2009 04:23 PM UTC
I hope to visit SL in January 2010 and am considering renting a villa for 2/3 weeks. I am tired of paying supplements in hotels and the idea of having my own house and eating whenever I want, appeals to me. Any info much appreciated. Also, does anybody have experience of the Business Class on Sri lankan Air from Heathrow to Colombo ? It's my first visit so I like to plan well in advance.

Discount airline connecting Sri Lanka with Himalayan India, or Nepal?
I am looking for a discount airline (flying Colombo to any Indian Himalayan city (i.e. Srinigar, or Dehradun, or even Amritsar), as long as it's nearby the tallest mountains. Also, a Colombo-Kathmandu flight would be nice as well. I am looking for a discount airline, or to go this route for under 100-200euro, max.

Indian tourist visa in Colombo, Sri Lanka (cheaper)?
I know India needs visas for both Norwegian and Canadian nationals, and I've heard they hand out wonderfully long six-month visas. Of course, purchasing a visa in either Canada or Norway would prove expensive, maybe more than 50 euro. My question is, since I am going to Sri lanka first (and spending 10 or so days), should I apply for an Indian visa in Colombo the first day, have a look around, wait for the visa to clear, and stamped in the passport, then catch a cheap flight to Kerala, South India, just over the water? How much would an Indian visa (tourist status) cost in Colombo? Are there are special requirements needed, for example I heard applying for an Indian visa in Sub-saharan Africa requires an additional Yellow Fever vaccanination certificate, regardless of your nationality. Does India require similar paperwork from Westerners arriving via Sri Lanka as well? Thanks

Hi we are looking at booking the Neptune in Beruwela and wondered if you could give us ideas of excursions that could be done in a day - we are not the type to want to lay on the beach for 2/3 days in the row but being 2 females would be cautious of travelling on our own.
