Hola, if there is anyone that either lives in the area or is familiar, could you please let us know. This is a 3 star hotel, which is located on the same side as the Casa Mila/or the La Pedrera. The 3 star hotel is located in Passeo de Gracia, right at the end of the famous La Pedrera, the hotel has about 5 floors only.. as a matter of fact, there are two adjacent hotels (two hotel next to each other). The office or the guest’s registration is on the second floor.
We check all the website possible and none of which is the hotel we are looking for. Many thanks for your input for the correct name of the hotel and the telephone number. Cheers to all!
I saw the article on Expo Souvenirs on Las Ramblas. I, too, thought the guys there were great and very helpful. I purchased a souvenir sword for my son, and I was advised that I would not be able to bring it back on the cruise ship, so I asked them to shop it and they agreed. I purchased it 9/30/2009. Today is 10/29 and I have not received it. I have sent 2 emails to them and they have not responded to me. Is anyone able to help, or tell me what my next step should be? Thanks for any help.
we are are planning on arrive at barcelona on the dec. 25 and stay until mid january. We are renting a car and going north, to Bordeaux via San Sebastian. Questions:
1- How will b the weather like during this period? how cold it can be? It is common to rain during the holidays in the region?
2-I understood is a Spanish tradition to go out to dine in restaurants on the 25th, reservations are necessary? Also, where is the hip neighborhood in Barcelona (we are a 30's couple, we dont like to party hard, but is a holiday after all)
3-On the route to Bordeaux, via San Sebastian, where it would be a good place to spent the Happy New Years Eve?
4- Any must see places in this road trip circle? (we are arriving and leaving though Barcelona)
Any ideas, suggestions of places would be great!
Thank you!

I will be driving down to Estartit next year in July in my Motorhome and would like to stay in a fairly small and quiet site,In the 1970's I stayed on the Camping Estartit site for 6 months and have found out it's still going ( I do believe a danish chap called Joe owned it then)
I've not been able to find it on any campsite lists but can find it if I look up Camping Estartit,
Question=Is it still going?,whats it like?and is it near the new roundabout?
Is Tony Murry's Bar Tortuga still about?
Regards
Colin

I'll be visiting barcelona soon and am a bit of a fashion junkie. What are the boutiques like there? im not into chain stores much and like nice quality but not too expensive :)
i also plan to visit other parts of spain but cant decide yet. Any tips of places really worth visiting for their natural beauty? and of course nice shops for this shopaholic? ;)
I was not able to find online how to get to this place from metro or anything. it seems to be a beautiful park to visit during spring time which is when we will be going for the visit.
and is it free?

I really do not want to miss something great but also do not want to go to one if it is not my taste for 9 euros. so for people that only like traditional oil paints and all, should I even bother to go?
Hi
are tips generally given to waiters and waitresses in restaurants, if so what are the tips based on? for example here in NY, I usually double the tax. In Barcelona, how should I determine the amount of tip to give?
Thank you!!

Are there any recommended tour agencies in Barcelona to use in March 2010 or should we use the cruise line (NCL) cruise excursions? We are staying here two nights pre cruise at the end of March. Do not know the hotel yet.
Thanks in advance.

My fiance and I are celebrating the final two nights of our honeymoon in Barcelona. We're going to be there on a Saturday and Sunday evening. I've always heard about the over-the-top Barcelona nightlife and I want to get the full experience on the Saturday night. We're both in our mid-20s and enjoy fashionable restaurants and trendy dance clubs.
What would a typical night look like? Tapas and drinks, dinner, dancing etc.? We'd appreciate recommendations on what hot spots to visit.

Hello there,
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the University of Barcelona and its reputation as I am thinking of taking a master programme there (Cognitive Science & Language). Also, is life expensive in Barcelona - accommodation, geleral living and food costs? I am aware that it is no doubt a fun city, but I am trying to work out if I can afford it before taking the leap! Of course, I would gladly take up a part-time job, but I think this may be difficult as I am lacking in Spanish or Catalan... Would be grateful for any advice.
Cheers...
Hi,i have booked a short break for my mum and dad to a hotel in central barcelona just off the Rambles.
My question is how is the best way for them to get to their hotel from the main airport, are the buses easy or would a taxi be better and roughly how much will it cost?

My husband and I are planning a two week trip to Spain and I am thinking perhaps a week in Barcelona or more and a few days in Girona. What is the average temp in January? I know it's hard to predict (I was in Istanbul at the same time of year and it was unseasonably warm and sunny so you never know), but usually? We're from Portland, Oregon and since it's around the same latitude I expecting around 50-55F. Also rain? Lots of it or not so much? Any info would be helpful. It's always hard to know where to go in winter which is unfortunately about the only time he can get time off work. We aren't much for laying around beaches. We love architecture and history. Anything you can tell me about Girona would be great. Thank you!
