Salou I need your help: from Port Aventura to Barcelona Airport
Posted: Tue July 15, 2008 03:24 PM UTC
We have booked flights to and from Barcelona Airport and will be staying at Port Aventura Hotel. I need to know means of transport that can take us there and back. I have checked the RENFE and the Rapid Aeroport Line but there seems to be a BIG problem on our way from Port Aventura to BCN as the flight leaves at 9 and i figure the bus/train trip from PA to BCN takes around 2 hours.
I m getting desperate - i hope there is some kind of public transport that does early enough trips to get me to the airport on time.

if you can help me out, it will be greatly appreciated

Some friends told me about the Ebro river's delta... they said it's gorgeous. Has anybody ever been there? If I take a train to Tortosa, how far am I from the nice things? How do I get from Tortosa to Deltebre?

Barcelona Good Food on a Sunday
Posted: Mon July 14, 2008 03:51 PM UTC
Hi Everyone,
We love Barcelona and have visited many times, we are visiting just for one day on a cruise at the end of the month and it is a Sunday..... so we can't visit our favourite restaurant (Gaig in the Cram Hotel)

We thought we would just pop to the beautiful market but that is shut too any ideas for food on a Sunday?

We were thinking of spending the day at Barceloneta will the restaurants along there be open on a Sunday? I have looked up Agua and that isn't open....

Thanks/Gracias/Moltes gràcies

Catalunya Girona Airport to Badalona
Posted: Sat July 12, 2008 07:06 AM UTC
Hi,
I'm heading over to Barca in October and flying into Girona airport. I'm actually staying in Badalona, and from a previous trip, I know you can get a bus from the airport to Barcelona city, however, I wondered if anyone could tell me if it's possible to get a bus directly into Badalona? I'll be arriving at 10pm and would like to avoid having to go all the way to Barcelona city by bus and then back to Badalona by train, if possible. If this is not possible, could anyone estimate the cost of a taxi from Girona to Badalona?

Thanks very much!

Barcelona Hotel Recommendation for younger people in barcelona
Posted: Sat July 12, 2008 02:27 AM UTC
A buddy and I will be making our way to Mallorca in September and stopping in Barcelona for 3 nights or so. We are looking for a hotel that is close to some good drinking and partying spots, as well as the beach if possible? Price range is probably around 200CAD a night... any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Barcelona City and architecture
Posted: Fri July 11, 2008 09:25 PM UTC
I will be in Barcelona in September, just a short stop for two days. Not enough at all, I guess, but good for a fist glance to come back...
Does anybody know a buget place to stay but still with pretty a good quality? Maybe a good hostel or a hotel that is fair prized?
My main theme in this trip will be architecture, mainly contemporary. Maybe someones has some hints for me? Maybe you know some nice new buildings or young architecture offices that might be worth to do some research on?
Which are nice places in Barcelona where I can get a real (not touristic) feeling of the city?
Thanks for your help.

Barcelona 1 week in Barcelona
Posted: Thu July 10, 2008 04:28 AM UTC
Hi,
My partner and I are heading down to Barcelona on Aug. 26th until Sept. 1st. We will be meeting up with some friends as of the Friday (so will most likely be spending the weekend in Barcelona), so we are looking for some suggestions on where we could go before that. We are looking for a relaxing getaway, maybe a nice beach, with not too much travel. I've heard that Tarragona is rather nice. Any other suggestions? Tarragona also has a big amusement park, which I wouldn't mind checking out.

Anyways, I'd welcome any suggestions you may have as I am a little lost as to what we should do.
Thanks :)
Kevin.

(3) Montserrat to Figueres.

Barcelona SMOOTHIES
Posted: Wed July 9, 2008 04:47 PM UTC
Hi,

I'm in Barcelona staying in the Hostel in Barceloneta and I love it.

Can anyone recommend a cool smoothie bar when i can get like a breakfast shake to keep me going till lunch. I'm cool with the pastry thing in the morning but I'm getting fat and I'd rather spend my cash on something healthy!

Travel safe people!

Barcelona Barcelona in August
Posted: Wed July 9, 2008 03:25 AM UTC
I want to go to Barcelona this august. I hear it's practically deserted though. Is this true? Should I not go? We want to go from Aug 5 to the 15th. We want to be able to explore the city, see major landmarks/museums/etc., go dancing and go out to eat. Will the city be totally closed or is that an exaggeration?

Barcelona transportation to Barcelona
Posted: Tue July 8, 2008 01:50 PM UTC
This will sound stupide, but I am terrified to fly. My husband has a trip in October to fly to Barcelona and then take a 7 day Med cruise. I am fine with the cruise, but I want to find another way to get to Barcelona without flying!! Any help? All I can find is a cruise, but I only want a drop off if that makes sense.

Barcelona Transportation from BCN Airport to Hotel Husa Tres Torres
Posted: Mon July 7, 2008 03:30 AM UTC
We will be reaching Barcelona at around 8:30 pm on the 19th (Sat). Our hotel is Husa Tres Torres, address is Calatrava, 32 08017 Barcelona near the shopping and recreation district of Diagonal-Pedralbes and is about 16 kms from the airport. What is the best way to get to the hotel (cab, metro, shuttle). We are travelling with 2 kids, 1 suitcase and a couple of pullmans. If cab is the best option, approximately how much would it cost to get to the hotel from the airport? Appreciate your input, thanks.

Barcelona I need a lift from Malaga/Almeria/etc to Barcelona:)
Posted: Sat July 5, 2008 02:58 PM UTC
Hello everyone :)

Of 15th or 16th of August I'm going to Barcelona in order to spend there a few days. As I don't have much money I can hardly afford a train ticket. That's why I'm looking for a nice and open-minded person to become my angel.
If you are going to Barcelona from Malaga or surroundings of Almeria I'd join you with a great pleasure. Unfortunately, I can't offer more than 20€ for the help, but I can afford a smile and a good mood:)
I'm a nice 20 years old girl, friendly and non-agressive. I can speak English, little of Spanish, Russian, Polish and Belarussian.
It's always better to travel with somebody, not alone:) Besides, even such a small input like 20€ is always a reduction of fuel costs :)
If you are considering my offer, please don't hesitate to contact me:)

Barcelona Transportation on New Years Day
Posted: Sat July 5, 2008 08:27 AM UTC
My family and I will be traveling to Barcelona from Paris on New Years Day. I am curious to hear if there are any transportation issues that may affect our travel from BCN airport to the apartment we're renting in the Gracia neighborhood in Barcelona. We land at approximately 16:15 in the afternoon. Are there any added costs for taxis? Do the trains run at the same times? Are there any other things I should consider?

Thanks!
