| Boracay Island | Mito's place Posted: Tue July 15, 2008 09:59 AM UTC
I am planning a two week vacation to Boracay in August and I am still looking for a place to stay. I saw Mito's Place web site.and their hotel looks nice. I like that it is on White Beach near Station 1, and it has ocean-view rooms which are in my price range. It also is closer to town than Lorenzo South. The rooms look very nice and the location is convenient. But I can not find any reviews of Mito's Place. Is it in a fairly quiet location? Do they give good service? Are the rooms really as nice as they look on their web site? i would appreciate any info about Mito's Place.

| Boracay Island | Daves Straw Hat Inn Posted: Wed July 9, 2008 07:06 PM UTC
Does anyone have any experience with this Resort?
Daves Straw Hat Inn in Boracay. Is this hotel far away from the main area for restaurants and shopping or is it nearby? can I walk there or do I need to take a taxi? How far is the beach from this resort? Are there private beach chairs? or how does this work What is the weather likely to be in Mid August until September? Any other suggestions for other resorts. Budget is 3000 pesos per night for a double room. Main idea of ideal resort: - beachfront - pool - not too far from restaurants and main shopping areas Many thanks for your answers in advance Warm Regards Nazim |

| Boracay Island | Looking for a great family villa or suite right on the beach. Posted: Thu June 19, 2008 05:05 AM UTC
Hello,
I am looking for a nice roomy place on the beach. A villa or suite that I can walk out of and on to the sand. Me and the wifey and 5year old, 3year old and 6 month old. So nothing wild for night life. A quiter part of the beach. Also which beach is recommended? Something with a pool too. Would like something that overlooks the beach and water. Will be going in beginning of March 2009. Also any know what the rates are for a round of golf there too? Probably for 2 weeks. Thanks |

| Boracay Island | need advice for Boracay trip Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 11:17 PM UTC
We're planning a trip to Boracay this month. I saw a promo package in Patio Pacific's website - 7,500 twin sharing 3D2N with airfare via SeaAir. Could you please help me with info on the location & service of the resort. We prefer the more peaceful, quiet part of the beach. Also, comments on taking a
32-seater or 19-seater plane offered by SeaAir. Di ba nakakabingi sa plane? Is it advisable to take a bigger plane? Thanks in advance for the help! |

| Boracay Island | How to travel to Boracay Island? Posted: Tue June 10, 2008 09:14 PM UTC
I will be visiting the PI for the first time in Oct. and early November...
I have a total of 15 days on the ground in the PI. I will fly into Manila and spend a few days there to begin with. I also want to see Subic Bay, Cebu, and Borocay.... I am thinking 3 days in Manila first..but then I don't know enough about the PI to know how to travel to the other parts..let's assume 3 days in Manila on each end...leaving 9 days to travel to Subic, Cebu, and Borocay... Would someone be kind enough to suggest to me how to see the places in between my Manila stay (air, boat, etc..)...and also suggest what to do there?? Thanks.. |

| Boracay Island | Pearl of the Pacific vs. Waling Waling? Which of these 2? Posted: Tue May 27, 2008 01:38 PM UTC
Hello there!
My husband and I are planning our 1st ever trip to Boracay with our 2 school aged kids, for 3 nights on the last week of June.I currently am choosing between these 2 resorts : Pearl of the Pacific or Waling Waling. I have heard about the great cabanas of Waling but we will be roaming around the island most of the time. I have twin boys. :-) Anybody out there who can help me decide which one is the better resort as far as rooms, facilities, standards, food, etc. anything will be helpful in the decision I need to make one soon since the trip is coming up and we have plane tkts already. HELP! Thank you! |

| Boracay Island | solo help? Posted: Fri May 23, 2008 01:51 PM UTC
Hi all, I had originally planned to travel to Boracay with a friend, May 28 - June 6 during our break between semesters. Something came up and now I'll be going solo, and I have a few questions....I've seen people allude to questions similar to these in other posts, but I'd just like a little more clarification if possible...
How rainy can I expect this "rainy season" to be? I'll be there May 28 - June 6. Is it typically overcast when/if its not raining? I'd very much like to swim/snorkel and enjoy the sunshine! I've traveled much of the world and have had little trouble meeting fellow backpackers, however Boracay appears to cater more to groups/couples. Any advice for a solo traveler? (If this matters at all, I'm a 26 yr old male university student, like to drink/chat/chill, not particularly into the top-40 dance club scene but...I can tolerate it if need be...) I'm a student and I don't have a truck full of cash to drop, so I'd also like some advice re: accomodation. So far it would seem that Frendz seems decent and is very reasonably priced (500 php?) - is this a rarity or somewhat common? I'm assuming I don't need to book in advance as I won't be there during high season, but I'd prefer not to waste a whole day looking for a reasonable place to stay. And this is gonna sound crazy...but are there monkeys? You wouldn't believe my terrible luck in just meeting a friggin monkey...Even on "monkey beach" near koh phi phi - apparently they went into recluse that day...I just gotta cross this off my "to do list" and get on with life.... Thanks so much for your help! Sorry for the long-windedness. |

| Boracay Island | Where to eat in Boracay Posted: Tue May 20, 2008 06:09 AM UTC
Hi guys! My friends and I will be on a trip to bora this 1st week of June. Any tips/suggestions/reco on where to eat? We're 9 pax btw. We plan to hunt the most delectable to the most affordable meals offered in Bora. I know there are really good carinderias, bars, coffee shops and restos out there. We have 2 lunches, 2 dinners in our agenda and our budget is quite dainty at P150+ per person per meal. We want our first time bora visitors to have the best time without having to shell out too much. Appreciate your comments and help as usual :-)

| Boracay Island | I need help!! Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 07:27 PM UTC
I've been trying to plan this week long vacation in Boracay for weeks now. I still haven't got a clue where to stay, how to get there and what to do. Maybe that's not exactly the case as to "no clue". Problem is there's just a lot of choices and I am an inch close to just paying overpriced tour or travel packages online just to get this planning over with.
I just need help! 1. I want to stay at a beachfront hotel where it's close to everything and that would provide us transportation ( I was told station 1 is a nice part of the 7km stretch coast, but don't really care where). 2. I need a hotel with a very reliable concierge to help us plan activities while down there. 3. Budget- wise, we're willing to spend about Php2500-4800/night. Free breakfast and maybe free airport to resort transportation?? 4. How much does it really cost for an airfare from Clark or Manila to Caticlan? Is Php10,000 really how much it costs per person? 5. How to get to Boracay by sea? Is that smart? We thought it'd be nice to experience that. My husband's not fond of the idea but is willing to try it. I looked at superferry (only one i know) and only has iloilo. Any suggestions? Appreciate your time. I really really really need your help. I have seen Real Maris but I dunno if they have any website, any thoughts? How are boracay beach resort, regency and le soleil? They worth their bit of a pricey rates? |

Hi! My wife and I and a couple of friends are headed to boracay on may 8-10. We are booked at sanders. Is it a good resort? I got the twin share room with hot and cold water and ref for 2,500/night. Is it a good deal or a rip-off? Any good restos or turo-turo within the area? How do we go about if we want to explore the island on mountain bikes? How much is the rental? Thanks

Hi all,
I'm planning to go to boracay this third week of May by boat from manila direct to caticlan/boracay. I have checked with negros navigation site and they advertised their direct route from manila to boracay. I just cant get the schedule (manila - boracay and return) through their site. Can anyone help me get the schedule? Also, can you suggest an affordable place for my family (2 adults, 2 children) to stay for 2 nights? A place where kids will like (with pool or some games). Of course, its should be affordable. Thanks. |
