Boracay Island What is the best/fanciest restaurant on Boracay?
Posted: Tue September 22, 2009 10:36 PM UTC
Hello, I am an insurance agent in Illinois, and I will be on Boracay in about 6 weeks, coincidentally my biggest clients will also be in the Philippines, and on Boracay at the same as me. I owe them dinner, and I would like to take them to the best, and or fanciest restaurant on Boracay. I have only been there once, and did not eat anywhere special so I need help. Also if you could please give me a rough idea on how much a dinner for 4 would run at the restaurant. Any assistance or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Boracay Island Getting to Carabao Island from Caticlan
Posted: Sun August 30, 2009 02:04 AM UTC
I am spending 3 days on Carabao Island this October and I am looking for alternative ways to get to the Island. I will be flying into Kalibo airport and taking a van to Caticlan. I know there is a 9a ferry but I will not be arriving in to Kalibo until around 2p. I heard that you can rent a boat from Caticlan but I have no idea how to do that or how to chose a boat to rent! Any practical advise would be appreciated.

Posted: Sat June 27, 2009 04:49 PM UTC
hi there,
i am planning a trip to Boracay, sometime in Mar 2010. This will be our first trip there. We're thinking of staying at White Beach near Station 2 cos I hear that is where all the nightlife and watersports are at.

Any recommendations on budget accomodations?? prolly ard USD30 a night? somewhere near the bars and beach?

And what is the best way to get from Singapore to Boracay?

There are some divers in our group so any recommended dive operator at White Beach?

thanks!

Boracay Island Lean Season
Posted: Sat May 2, 2009 10:42 AM UTC
Hi,

im planning to go to Boracay on July/August. Is it rainy (as in bad rainy - i dont mind a little rain) during this time in the island? (stormy? normal rain?) I'm a little worried it (the rain) might spoil our trip. And how's the beach? waves? It's my family's first time to Boracay and our first trip as a family after 12 years.

thanks!

Boracay Island More Family-Friendly or Kid-Friendly, Boracay or Bohol?
Posted: Wed April 29, 2009 10:37 AM UTC
My husband and I want to take our little bossing (our 4-year-old son) on his first more-than-a-day-trip beach vacation. I'm having a hard time deciding between Bohol and Boracay. For those who have taken their kids to either location, what would you say are the best that these places have to offer in terms of the kids' enjoyment?

Also please recommend a good hotel/resort (in either Boracay or Bohol), preferably with a pool and cable/satellite TV and beach-front. My budget for the room is at most PhP4500 per room per night.

Thanks in advance to those who will be so kind as to reply to this post! Happy summer to all! =)

Boracay Island Red Coconut Beach Resort
Posted: Sat April 18, 2009 10:08 PM UTC
We're going to Boracay for the first time in January. After lurking for so many weeks in the internet looking for a place to stay, I decided to pick Red Coconut. Is this is a good choice? I need ideas from Boracay experts here in VT. I'd prefer Station 1 beachfront accommodation, with pool, not so expensive, and hopefully not very noisy. My other 2 choices are Beachcomber and Patio Pacific.

Another thing, it would be best if I could get some travel deals/packages that include airfare, sea transfers, for Red Coconut. Does anybody know of websites that offer this package? It's fine if there's none.

I just want to make sure if Red Coconut is a good place to stay. Thanks a lot!!!

Boracay Island Snorkeling, and diving
Posted: Sun April 5, 2009 03:32 PM UTC
Hello, my wife, and I are planning our second trip to Boracay. We want to snorkel, and dive on this trip, but we have a few concerns. On our first trip we went snorkeling, and the crew of the boat we hired was very rude to my wife, and made many lewd coments to her in tagalog. I am American, but my wife is a Filipina, and apparently they took offense to this. My tagalog is very limited, and I was not paying attention to what the boat crew was saying so I had no idea that this was happening, and my wife didn't even tell me until much later. Does anyone have any idea how we can make sure we get a boat crew that will be mature, and treat us with the same respect we treat them? Also we want to go diving, and we intend to take a class here in the US so we don't have to waste a day in the classroom when we are on Boracay. We don't want to dive alone though, so we are looking for a reasonably priced guide to dive with us for a few hours on our first day, and we are willing to be part of a group. Can anyone recommend a guide, or a dive shop that we could contact to arrainge this, and rent us diving equipment. We will have our PADI log books, and other documentaion showing our training level.

Thanks
Douglas

Hi there! It's me again! My friends and I going to Boracay this May 14-17. Since it's my 2nd time to go there, I was appointed to be their events coordinator!!! (Hail to them! This is a tough job!).

Need your advise on where to go and the estimated costs for the following:
1. cheap but good buffet breakfast (including best coffee!) , lunch, or dinner.
2. boat to rent for island hopping.
3. best value for reef walking, wake boarding and tube ride
4. banana boat and fly fish rentals.

Thanks in advance!!!

Boracay Island dormitories in boracay?
Posted: Mon February 23, 2009 04:04 AM UTC
This may be too early to ask as we plan to go to Boracay next summer. But I planned our Palawan trip (next week) about a year ago, so I prefer it earlier.

I'm eyeing on Faith village convention center... any insights or pictures pls?

Any other suggestions (cheap accommodation like transient, house, pension) good for about 10 adults, 2 kids. As long as there's aircon, TV, private TB,doesn't need to be exactly at the beachfront but not TOO far from where the boracay action is, should be well secured and comfy, of course (no bed bugs pls. HAHA)

I want to save on accommodation 4D/3N so we could allot the bigger chunk of the budget for good food and activities since this will serve as my graduation gift to them. I still have a year to save for our expenses LOL.

Thanks guys!
