Advice on buying airline tickets in Ozamiz City... Posted: Mon November 10, 2008 04:04 AM UTC
I am meeting my girlfriend in Cebu next week. She lives near Ozamiz (and yes, I have seen her on cam many times).
I cannot buy her ticket online from either Cebu Pacific or Philippine airlines. They require her to have a photocopy of my credit card at check-in, along with a copy of my identifaction. I am not willing to give her that.
Instead I am planning on sending her money to buy the tickets in Ozamiz. I trust her. I can find no information for buying PAL tickets in Ozamiz. According to the CP website, I can buy tickets for Cebu Pacific flights at QSC Travel at the Quality Shopping Center, and I think at Phil Compak Boards at GeeG Mall.
I have no idea where to buy PAL tickets.
Has anyone bought tickets for airline flights in Ozamiz? Any advice as to where my girlfriend should go to buy them?
I hope she will not be overcharged as she has no idea how to buy tickets, but that is the chance I will have to take.
Help is appreciated. If this does not work, I suppose she can always take the ferry. Anyone have advice on that?
Thanks in advance.

Internet cafes with webcams Posted: Thu October 2, 2008 01:59 AM UTC
Can anyone tell me the name and address of a cafe in Ozamis City that has webcams to hire? I met a girl from this city and i just want to chat with her online on a webcam to make sure she is who she says she is. She sent me photos and she is totally stunning, but i just want to make sure that is actually her and not some photos she has found on the web of a model or something. Theres no funny business involved i just want to chat with her nothing sexual or anything. I have had many philippine women try to scam me and just want to make sure she isn't one of them.
Regards
David

Dipolog to Ozamis to Cagayan de Oro Posted: Thu April 24, 2008 02:42 PM UTC
Hi,
Im accompanying my mom to ozamis city and go back alone to Manila.
I booked plane from manila to dipolog for me to be able to visit the place too and take bus to ozamis. From Ozamis I decided to go back to Manila via Cagayan de Oro to see Cagayan too. Can you help me please decide which area of these places are best to see or visit or best to do the shopping of local goods? The plane from manila will arrived at Dipolog around 11am on May 1 and my flight back to Manila via Cagayan is 2pm of May 4. I only have 4 days for the whole trip. Please help me, this is my first time in these places and have no idea. I wish to maximize my 4-day trip. I will really appreciate your replies. Thank you!

Options and suggestions for travel/hotel/communication in Ozamis City Posted: Sun November 26, 2006 05:32 PM UTC
I met someone online that I would like to meet to see if we are compatible to be married. I have several questions some may not be possible or make sense. Is there a video conferencing service or if I send her an inexpensive laptop (she uses the internet cafes) is there much high speed access? I am not wealthy and will be traveling from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I don't want to necessarily take the cheapest route or stay in unpleasant hotels when for a little more money I can be comfortable. Any help in the best way to get there and the best places to stay would be appreciated. Also she has a cell phone so I was wondering if there is a cheap way to rent them for communication when I get there?

Safety in Ozamiz Posted: Tue December 13, 2005 08:47 PM UTC
Hey ya'll! I'm planning on visiting Ozamiz in February to meet this wonderful young lady whom I believe I might marry one day. Needless to say I have never been there and despite what I've heard from family and friends about the safety of foreigners, specifically US citizens (even military, if applicable), I wanted to ask all of you out there for your insight. For any replies, may I ask that you send a copy to rikku478@yahoo.com as well, please? Thanks in advance to anyone for your time and reply.

I hope to be there in June. I plan to stay at the Royal Garden Hotel.

I am going to try to contact the hotel if they can provide advice for a flower broker in the area, as well as banking.
Anyone have any experiences in this area.
Cordially,
