Posted: Fri April 18, 2008 10:56 PM UTC
My three friends and I will be in La Coruna next weekend, 26th & 27th April, and were hoping to catch the Deportivo v Barcelona game. Will we be able to buy tickets for the game from Raizor or will the game be sold out. It is my second visit to Coruna and I really want to see Depor play so any help with tickets would be great.

Santiago de Compostela Way of St james - Camino Santiago/Jacobeo
Posted: Wed April 9, 2008 05:06 AM UTC
I'm thinking of walking part of this route with a friend in the summer. We aren't sprightly old codgers, although we are over 60, but fit, kinda. We're thinking of walking a fortnight. Is 20km a day a realistic target? If we want to end in Santiago, where should we think of starting? Is there a better forum for this?

Hello. I will be in Vigo for several hours and am interested in booking a sailing trip. I've tried all the search engines and can't find any information on small charter companies. Can anyone recommend a small sailing boat for a 3-4 hour trip? Thanks!

We are cycling the Camino from Leon to Santiago. However we wish to leave our car in Santiago for 7 nights since we intend to get a train to Leon for the start of Camino. Does anyone recommend a car park in Santiago that is also relatively safe?

Santiago de Compostela Cookies?
Posted: Sun March 9, 2008 06:57 AM UTC
Hello Everyone!

I am on a hunt to find this almond cookie I ate when I santiago last year at easter time. We were walking up a street, the name I don't remember, but it had stores on both sides and was very close to the cathedral. We were stopped by women outside a store handing out a type of almond cookie or biscotti. It was delicious.. It was not the torta de santiago but a cookie. We went back to buy some and the box had a picture of a man walking on it, i believe a pilgrim..

If anyone knows the name of these cookies please let me know because I have searched so many sites and when i google the cookies that I fine, none of them look right! I would love to order a box or two for my family so if someone can point me in that direction that would be so helpful.. Thank you!

Valencia Student going on exchange looking for advice
Posted: Sat January 26, 2008 03:54 PM UTC
Hi, I am planning on being an exchange student this summer ( July & August) and studying in Valencia. I was looking for some advice on what to do there and what to see, what airlines and trains are the best. Would it be beneficial to get the Valencia card and the card for some of the other major cities I want to visit? I was wondering for my weekends I want to travel and wondering if anyone can give me advice on which would be cheap transportation, things to see and do and where to go. I would also like to maybe even see the neighboring countries if I can find cheap transportation to them. Also wondering what prices are like over there and what kind of food is served compared to the Canada & the USA. If anyone can give me some advice or tips for me that would be great. Also wondering what the weather is like in July & August?

Coruña Looking to find lost friend in Coruna, need advice
Posted: Tue January 8, 2008 11:51 PM UTC
Hi, im thinking of coming to A Coruna in order to look for a very close friend who i lost touch with since this person and there family moved to Coruna from the U.K. I know my friend was setting up a clothes store in the city centre, i just wanted to ask anyone who may currently live in Coruna if you think it would be possibile to find my friend if i where to come to Coruna for a few days. I know finding there home would be very difficult so there would be no point trying to do that. But I thought it may be more possible to find the shop my freind had opened in the city centre. Is the city centre very big? would it be possible to find my friend in such a way?
Hopefully someone can help me or give some advice as i'd really appreceate it. Thankyou.

We are planning to visit the Galicia Region sometime and would like to know about worthwhile fishing villages and seafood towns there. We love seafood and we are somewhat epicureans in that manner. Thank you for any recommendations, such as good seafood restaurants in every town.

Vigo Traditional food and sights in Vigo
Posted: Sun October 28, 2007 12:31 PM UTC
Hi there,

We will soon be in Vigo, and we'll have about 24hrs there to check out the city. I was wondering if someone here could suggest a reasonable restaurant where we could get traditional Spanish food (have never tried a paella! hehe) and also the must sees of the city in that time.

Thanks!

Wondering whether to drive along Mino River on Spanish or Portuguese side. Which is the most attractive route to follow? Staying in Valenca overnight and have to be just north of Ourense by the evening and wonder if we have time to fit in a look at the area near Ribas de Sil as well. Grateful for any help.

Galicia Live Music Bars in Galicia?
Posted: Wed August 1, 2007 11:09 AM UTC
We're finally narrowing down slightly on our trip to Gslicia, and will be concentrating on the east coast, Pontevedra and Santiago.

Does anyone know any live music bars which we could approach for a gig in mid September? Hubby does a one man show but with music from mainly 70's, lot of rock, funk, soul, with sax and harmonica. He's very popular down this end of the woods and is fully booked for the time we are here.

Any ideas gratefully received

Galicia General Advice for planning a trip
Posted: Mon July 30, 2007 06:57 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
We (my wife and I and our 8&12 yrs. old kids) want to visit Spain and Portugal. We will arrive and leave through Madrid airport. We will have 11 days to spend outside Madrid (we will have a rented car). We wish to spend around 4-5 days in Galicia. When we travel we like almost everything: cities and architecture, museums, villages, and, local people. This time we will be happy to visit the beach once or twice maybe..Could someone kindly offer me a suitable plan for Galicia? Best case will be, if possible, to stay in one place (best option some place with a pool..) and travel day trips around.
Thank a lot in advance !
