hi guys!
my friends and i are planning to go to camiguin this holy week, about 10 of us, and we are looking for a nice place to stay..sort of like villa paraiso, we prefer apartelles with their own kitchen since its much budget friendly if we cooked our own meals! and they have a pool also!..sadly, villa paraiso is booked already and we are open for new ideas as long as we can cook there and save much money too..thank you guys for the help in advance! =) tc!

Paras Resort or Camiguin Island Golden Sunset Resort? Posted: Tue February 24, 2009 07:56 PM UTC
Hi there!
Is anyone familiar with both these places in Camiguin? The prices are comparable for both, and amenities seem to be comparable as well as both have air-con rooms and a pool. But, it seems that Paras is bigger (and might have a better customer service), but I heard there is no "beach" to speak of.
This will be my first trip to Camiguin, and want to make sure we stay at a descent place. We want to be right on the water rather than up on the mountain (Camiguin Highlands).
I just want to make sure that if we pick the Golden Sunset that the rooms are descent and CLEAN.
We will be traveling end of March 2009.
Please help!
Thanks!

camiguin tour -- pls help Posted: Sat February 14, 2009 08:15 AM UTC
hi guys,
we are planning to visit camiguin this summer. probably we are just 3-4 pax.. what resort can you recommend to us... cheap but quality resort in camiguin? 1.5k per night is great. we are staying for 2 nights there..
what is the best time to go to the white island? half is quite ok for that place... then a wholeday tour of the island.... sunken cemetery, springs, mountains, falls.. actually I really dont have an idea where to go there...
can u guys help us arrange a perfect tour for this?
day 1 we will be arriving in camiguin hopefully before lunch time then day 2 whole day there.... we just want to visit white island, swim and snorkel.
then day 2 the sunken cemetery, mountains, falls and the hot springs (what else?)
maybe we can hire a jeep or van for the wholeday tour. any idea how much is this? thanks a lot

Wanted: Camiguin Travel Buddies Posted: Sat January 31, 2009 11:22 PM UTC
My sister and I would be in Camiguin by the 13th of February. It's just the two of us and we are somewhat looking for travel buddies who can split the cost of transportation (van/multicab around the island & boat fees). Someone suggested we hire a motorcycle 'coz it is economical for 2, but neither of us knows how to ride it so it's out of our options.
Either you can join us or if you have a group, squeeze the 2 of us in yours.
Thanks.

Cebu to Camiguin--Opinions on where to stay in Camiguin Posted: Tue December 30, 2008 12:20 PM UTC
Hi, another post states that there are two ferries(SuperFerry) a day from Cebu-Camiguin. Are these direct ferries? transfer somewhere else on the way? other info I found says 1 ferry a week(fri) from Ceb-Cam. I would appreciate if someone had any recent info on this. Also, can anyone recommend a laid back place to stay(10-30 usd) on Camiguin. Thanks.

Philippines / Malaysia itinerary (for your comment and suggestion!) Posted: Mon December 22, 2008 04:28 PM UTC
Itinerary of my gf and I. We like outdoors, animals and adventure but are only in average shape (no terrific stamina) and she hates sun exposure. She likes swimming, and we both like waterfalls. Trip is from Shanghai to Cagayan de Oro, then to Sabah in Malaysia for 8 days. Nothing is booked yet except for most of the flight tickets. Comments an dideas appreciated.
__
M 19Jan Shanghai -> Manila -> Cagayan De Oro (overnight flights)
19 Jan 8:30 am arrive Cagayan de Oro -> boat to Camiguin

20 Jan - do a "discover diving" package in the morning followed by real/guided dive in the afternoon. Seafood dinner
21 Jan - rent a motorbike and tour the island. Waterfalls. hot springs
22 Jan - go to white beach in early morning (before too hot). Afternoon make way back to CDO.
23 Jan (very early flight to Manila). Arrive Manila 8am. Go to Intramuros, San Augustin cathedral, and Mall of Asia. Take horse and carriage ride (what's the cost?)
23 Jan 4:30pm - fly to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
23 Jan evening - arrive Kota Kinabalu, dinner, sleep
Sat 24 Jan - snorkel on island near KK.
Sun 25 Jan - climb Mount Kinabalu (up) (is not being in KK for the Sunday market such a bad thing?)
26 Jan - descend Mount Kinabalu -> back to KK
27 Jan - rest/recover day in KK
28 Jan - fly to Sepilok, see organutans
29 Jan - river cruise in Sepilok

How much time is necessary for Camiguin? Posted: Thu November 27, 2008 08:35 AM UTC
Is 4 full days, arriving and departing from Cayagan de Oro "enough" time? Might have 10/11 days to split between Camiguin and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, and wondering how to balance the time.

Whole Day Tour of Camiguin Posted: Thu October 30, 2008 02:25 AM UTC
I've been to Camiguin last year by myself and promised to go back again with friends. True to my promise, I'm bringing my friends with me on Dec. 5. I know already how to get to the island, and have toured it via habal-habal rental. If I am going with 3 others, we would be needing a car or van for the whole day tour. Would you know somebody who can help us get a cheaper car or van rental?
Another question, can we include in our whole day tour the trip to the White island?
