Puerto Princesa resorts in honda bay, puerto princesa, palawan
Posted: Wed October 24, 2007 02:28 AM UTC
Hi! my friends and i are planning to go to puerto princesa on Feb. 2008. It is our first time to go there. i heard that honda bay is a nice place to stay. can anyone suggest a resort in this place that has nice accommodation but cheap rates? we are actually on a tight budget so i hope you could help us on this. I think dos palmas is also located there but that one is quite expensive. Any other resort?? also how far is it from the airport? and how do we go there?

Many thanks! :D

Since everyone has been so helpful lately, I need to find one more piece to complete the puzzle. How do I get from Puerto Princesa to Romblon without back-tracking through Manila.

Puerto Princesa City PP 5-day trip (4.5days actually)
Posted: Fri September 21, 2007 11:21 AM UTC
Hi. could anyone help me make an itenerary for a 5 (4.5) day trip to PP. we're a group of 7, arriving at PP via Cebu Pacific, 9am flight on Dec 5, leaving PP on Dec 9 at 1030 am.. budget is reasonable..

i was thinking of staying in pp on Dec 5-6, take the underground river tour on the 6th, then dec 7-9, stay on the beach (either honda bay if there are any resorts/accomodations aside from dos palmas, sabang beach or el nido - as we want to spend 2d/2n just relaxing), then head back to pp on the last day for departure..

but i doubt we'll be able to enjoy el nido (long travel time) if we're gonna do the river tour, unless we head straight to el nido and stay there for the 5days that we'll be in palawan..

thanks in advance for your help!

Puerto Princesa City DIY Underground River Tour
Posted: Tue July 31, 2007 06:16 AM UTC
Hi! :) My husband and I are spending our anniversary in Puerto Prinsesa for 5 days at the end of November, just enough time to see the PPC essentials. :) We're planning to avoid package tours to save money and to customize our trips and I just need a little help with it. :)

We land in Puerto Prinsesa on our first day at around 930AM. Our plan is to have brunch in the city before heading off to Sabang and stay there for a night. And then the next day, we plan to do the Mangrove Tour early in the morning and then hike the Monkey Trail to the Underground River afterwards before heading back to Puerto Prinsesa. Is this plan feasible? I just have a few questions:

1. What time does the last bus / jeep leave Puerto Prinsesa for Sabang? How much does it cost?
2. If we hire a van to take us to Sabang from PPC but plan to stay for a night and take the same van the next day, is this possible? if so, around how much would it cost?
3. Where is the best place to stay in Sabang? What else is there to do in that area?
4. I hear that electircity goes off at night? Is this true? Does it make the place unsafe?
5. Can anyone tell me more about the Mangrove Tour and the Monkey and Jungle Trail? Is the Mangrove Tour worth seeing? And do we need a guide to do the Jungle or Monkey Trail?
6. Until what time is the Undergound River open? What is the best time to go? Is it still okay to visit it in the afternoon?
7. What time does the last bus / jeep leave Sabang for PPC?
8. Can we do a stopover at Viet Ville from Sabang? How far is that to PPC? And if we stop there, is it easy to find transportation from here to PPC?

I'm really sorry for having too many queries. It'd be great if someone can give me arundown or estimate of costs and expenses, too (boat/ fees/ transpo/ lodging/ food, etc). I'd really appreciate all the help you can give me. :)

Thanks so much!!! :D

Puerto Princesa City Dampa in Puerto Princesa?
Posted: Wed June 27, 2007 05:23 AM UTC
We're off to puerto princesa next week and I read that some of the travellers here were able to buy lobsters and had it cooked during their Honda Bay tour. I just want to know if there are places there like the Dampa here where you buy fresh seafood and have it cooked in the eateries or restos for a fee. Thanks again.

Posted: Wed March 14, 2007 05:34 AM UTC
Hello people,

My friends and I are going to Palawan this March 24-28 and trying to look for a reasonably priced hotel, inn or pension house. We've come about this Albon Pension House in the internet. Does anyone know about this? How does it look like? If we're going to book with them, do they include tour packages? Please help. Thanks a lot.

Puerto Princesa City Commute to Underground River?
Posted: Fri March 9, 2007 09:49 AM UTC
Hi All,

My friends and I are going to Palawan next weekend. We plan on going to the Underground River on our own instead of taking a tour package. We also want to hike through the Monkey Trail. Can anyone tell me what's the earliest jeepney/bus going there? Is it safe to do it this way? We really do want to do the hike...

Thanks,
Liza

Puerto Princesa City Puerto Princessa Tour
Posted: Tue February 27, 2007 11:43 PM UTC
I just want to say hello to everyone. I think the pages here are very informative, I've been recently looking at the travel pages about Puerto because my friend and I would be traveling there for the first time. I recently just learned that the tours start at 7 am but we would be arriving at 9 in the morning. As first timers we want to visit as much places as we can honda bay, the croc farm and butterfly gardens.

The hotel wont arrange a tour for us though. Is there any way to travel by ourselves? It's just my friend and me.

We'd really appreciate any advice, tips, suggestions.

Puerto Princesa City More questions for DIY Honda Bay Tours
Posted: Fri October 6, 2006 10:03 AM UTC
previous information regarding the H/bay tour was informative, however I have more questions:

If I were to purchase some seafood for the island hopping, do I have to pre cook everything before going on the tour or are there BBQ facilities on the islands

Does anyone know of any service where you can hire a cook to travel with you while island hopping so that they can cook the food for you.

Cost of hiring a boat and the max number of people per boat.

Any information will be very appreciated.
