Early november 2009, i'll be visiting a project site in zone 4, sarat, agusan, cagayan de oro. I'll be coming from Lumbia and going by car. Need road direction the site. Any info will be greatly appriciated.

Hi.We are a group of 7 going to CDO next month.We will take the 4am trip to CDO on August 21 and be back in Manila on August 23.We will be maximizing our time as we also plan to stay overnight in Camiguin.(San po kaya ok mag-stay sa Camiguin)

The bombings are all over the news... we just want to make sure it will still be safe for us to travel to cdo..
we really just want to experience white water rafting.. we're all set but now, we're having doubts because of the red alert in mindanao..
can someone tell us if its safe?

We'll be visiting these places in September and I have this very ambitious itinerary for 4days/4nights for 5pax. As much as possible, we would like to cover these 4 places in 4 days. In line with this, I have the ff questions. Hope someone especially from CDO can help :)

1. Do you have any recommended van driver/tour guide which can tour us to Bukidnon? The planned route is from CDO airport, we will go directly to Bukidnon for a day tour. How much will it cost for the van rent (rough estimate will do)?

2. Any recommended inns/pension houses near Balingoan port? I am looking at Willshire inn but I do not know how far is it from the port. =/

3. Any recommended van driver/tour guide which can tour us this time to Iligan? (pick up from Balingoan port and the drop off at the end of the tour will be at Willshire inn).

4. Is it possible to do beginner's rafting and zipline/canopy walk in 1 day? (I've heard that Macahambus park is already closed.)

Hi. I'll be going to CDO in September for a convention which will be held at Pearlmont and Grand Caprice. I'll be bringing my family along and I have a 23 month old little boy. I was wondering what hotels can you suggest that has provisions for guests with children and infants. Specifically if they have milk bottle sterilizer that can be rented so that we don't have to bring one. I'm considering Mullberry Suites since its near the convention site and it looks much nicer than Pearlmont Inn. Hope you guys can help so that I can make the arrangements. Thanks!

hi! i need your help,, me and my cousins will go to cdo and camiguin this june,, we are a group of 5,, 4 days and 3 nights... can you please help us by providing a reliable and not so expensive tour guide? our plan is,, we will stay in cdo for 2 days then 2 days in camiguin... but we wanted to have a guide all through out since we are not from there,, mahirap na kase! we are all girls pa man din..

before kase when we went to bohol,, we have contacted a free lance tour guide,, a native of bohol who has his van and toured us around,, very friendly! pwede na yung ganun! and if possible our guide na rin will take care of our accommodation,, someone who could suggest where yung cheap pero nice places to stay in... we are on a budget kase,, hehehe ..and yung alam how sa rafting, zipline and other activities...

I have been told that its very dangerous for american to visit Mindanao. I'm just wondering if it's safe to visit CDO? My girlfriend is from Mindanao and we will be travelling there together, so i won't be completely lost and on my own. I'm just curious as to how big of a threat is there really? Thanks

from camiguin we will be arriving in cdo at around lunch time then the following morning our flight back to manila is around 4pm.... we want to do WWR, zip line, canopy walk and rapel... with this tight schedule can we still do all these? so 1st day we just have a half day then the next day probably another half day in the morning...

who shall we contact for these activities... what cheap hotel can you recommend us in cdo? max 1.5k per night pls... we are 3-4 pax thanks

Me and 4 other friends are going to CDO and Camiguin on 5Feb and 8Feb. we will be arriving at 10 am CDO airport and will have to return back at 8feb 6:36 morning flight (i know, its toooo early.. haay).

we're planning of doing the white water rafting, canopy walk, zip-lining, rapelling in CDO. which is better to visit, Macahambus Adevnture Park or Mapawa Nature Park. Since we are on a tight schedule, we're thinking of visiting only one park.

and then next will be camiguin. is it possible for us to tour camiguin for just a whole day (invluding the white beach already)?

also where's the best place we can stay (CDO and Camiguin) that's not too expensive but have decent private bathroom/toilet.

We are going to CDO on Feb 25 until Feb 27, group of 17. Problem is we only have limited time. We will be arriving in CDO around 6:30 via Cebu Pacific (feb 25)and then going back to manila in two batches, 8:30am in the 27th of Feb and 10:30 am.
We are planning to go to camiguin on the first day and CDO on the 2nd.
I don't know if this is feasible but we want to experience both.

May I know any update in CDO condition (transportation, weather etc.) we will be coming in CDO by February 21-24. Do anyone knows when exactly the fast craft will be operational? Hi everyone. How is CDO nowadays? I was sad to see what the flash flood has done to this wonderful city. I am even sadder 'coz my sister and I are going to CDO & Camiguin on Feb. 12-14, 2009 and I still don't know what to expect upon our arrival. Staying there for 3D/2N. We'll be arriving in the morning of the 12th and leave on the late afternoon of the 14th.

Itinerary:

Feb. 12 Arrival at CDO
Check-in Hotel
White Water Rafting

Feb. 13 Day Tour in Camiguin
Night Market in CDO

Feb. 14 Half day in Bukidnon
Back to Manila


Here are our concerns:

1. Accommodations

We still don't have a place to stay in CDO. I am checking out comments for different hotels posted online but still I don't have a specific choice. Please help. We need a place near Night Market or accessible to tourist places/malls. Clean, Safe, A/C, Hot & Cold Shower, 1K to 1.2K per night, twin-sharing. Free breakfast would be nice. Just share with me contact details like websites, phone numbers, etc.

2. Activities

a. CDO
Aside from White Water Rafting & Zip Lines, what are the other activities we can do in CDO? Which do you prefer for the White Water Rafting: Dome or Kagay or others? Would appreciate contact numbers of these companies for WWR reservation.

b. Camiguin
What are the must do things, must see places?

3. Transportation

a. Camiguin
Is the straight ferry trip (by Paras Beach) from CDO to Camiguin now operational? If it is, please share the contact details so we can make a reservation too. If it is not, pls. advise.

Once in Camiguin, what is the best mode of transportation for 2 pax so we can go around the Island and visit places? Referrals would be nice.

b. Bukidnon
What bus to take? How long is the travel time?

Please help. We needed all the assistance, comments, opinions, advices,recommendations, warnings we could get. Don't forget to throw in contact details like websites, numbers, etc. and of course, the prices!

Good Day, does anybody know what time is the earliest bus at Agora Terminal bound for Balingoan?
FYI, I called Paras Resort inquiring about the fast ferry bound for Camiguin. They advised that the ferry is not operational as of this time.

Can anyone give a firsthand update? How is the situation around the airport, and general transportation network within the city and getting out of the city?

Seems like now is an especially bad time to visit CDO from a tourism standpoint...

Hi! My bf and I are going to CDO on Feb.8 then visit Camiguin for an overnight stay on Feb. 11 to 12. We don't know anybody at CDO and Camiguin so we would appreciate it very much if you can provide some referrals.
We are on a tight budget so we would very much like to maximize our budget on the activities and places. We are planning to stay at Willshire Inn at CDO and Paras or Paguias at Camiguin (haven't decided yet). We still do not have itinerary but we wanted to try out most (if not all) the activities and visit the attractions of these 2 places. Can somebody assists us on our itinerary? Please include estimate cost of activities and entrace fees. Kindly note that Feb. 11 is allocated for travel from CDO to Camiguin including the visit of the places at Camiguin and Feb. 12 is allocated for travel from Camiguin to Dipolog.
Also, is it true that the costs of the activities will be higher since we are only 2? I read that they could arrange for us to join other group/s, which we don't mind.

hi friends, me and my officemates are going to cdo by march...i would like to ask for your inputs about our "suggestive" itenerary. we will be arrving on march 12 around 8am in cdo and fly back to manila on the 14th at around 9am. due to limited time we want to maxmize our stay both in cdo and camiguin. should we take camiguin in our first day then cdo for our 2nd day?

feb 1 09 arrive CDO via cebu pac at 6:05 am, were planning to go white water rafting and do the canopy walk at the Macahambus Adventure Park. How long will it take? How much will it cost? there will be 4 of us and we are in a tight budget.Do we have enough time to go to Camiguin in the afternoon or its better to stay in CDO and just go to Camiguin the next day?

We'll be arriving CDO at 4pm on Feb 21, 2009 via Cebu Pac. We chose the afternoon flight coz most of us has saturday work. Here are the planned activities:
- CDO city tour/night life
- white water rafting, canopy walk, zipline
- Camiguin adventure

Our flight back to MNL is on Feb 24, 630am.

Hi I would appreciate some help for my upcoming trip in Sep. I am arriving in CDO on 6 Sep at 2.40pm via air. would i have time to check in at the hotel, and then go to Macahambus Adventure Park? how far is the park from the city centre and what time does it close?
ON 7 Sep I plan to go whitewater rafting. i think this would end abt 3pm - any suggestions on how i shd spend the remainder of the day?
on 8 sep i am going to camiguin. i have till 11 sep to spend in camiguin. Is this too long? i need to be in CDO to catch a 3.10pm on sep 11 - what time shd i leave camiguin?
Another alternative i am thinking of is to cut short camiguin and spend i night at Duka Bay. is this advisable or shd i just stick with camiguin from 8-11 sep?

We have seen the CAGAYAN PARK VIEW LODGE (in between Burgos st. & N.Capistrano Street) w/c is very affordable for our 2 night stay..since room rates is only 300 pesos/night. Malapit lang ba ito sa bus terminal if we're coming from davao? Patulong naman on how can we get there para hindi kami maligaw..

Then kindly help us din kung saan ang best route if we're planning to go to certain attractions like:
