Cagayan de Oro City PLS. ADVISE ITINERARY
Posted: Sat June 14, 2008 10:26 AM UTC
Dear Guys,

My bestfriend and I are planning to have an ultimate Mindanao adventure kaya lang kulang kami sa budget...We want to stay 4 days in Davao, 2 days in Cagayan de Oro,2 days in Camiguin & 4 days in Butuan. Kindly help us naman on how we can enjoy our 2 days vacation in Cagayan De Oro?

We have seen the CAGAYAN PARK VIEW LODGE (in between Burgos st. & N.Capistrano Street) w/c is very affordable for our 2 night stay..since room rates is only 300 pesos/night. Malapit lang ba ito sa bus terminal if we're coming from davao? Patulong naman on how can we get there para hindi kami maligaw..

Then kindly help us din kung saan ang best route if we're planning to go to certain attractions like:

White water Rafting (how much would be the cost?)
Macahambus Adv. Park
Gardens of Malasag Eco Tourism Village
Kagayan resort
Mapawa Nature Park
River taxi
Plaza Divisoria

Thanks!

Posted: Fri June 6, 2008 04:49 PM UTC
Hi! Im planning to go to CDO for our first time and im thinking of booking a hotel at Mallberry Suites. From the website, it seems like a very nice room and within our budget. Can anyone who stayed there give me some comments on this place? And please let me know if you have any other recommendations for accommodations almost similar price P1800 to P2000 for one night. Thanks in advance!

Any accommodation recommendations for Camiguin too? Thanks!

Cagayan de Oro City Apartment in Cagayan de Oro City
Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 04:49 PM UTC
My wife and I will be Cagayan on the 3rd of June, She will stay till the last of July, (posssibly later) and i will return by the end of June. We were looking at hotels, but we are now thinking short term rental. An efficiency apartment (if they call them that) Just one bedroom/bath with a kitchenette , most of our time there will be just to sleep, so we are not looking at a full service apartment. Does anyone have a point of contact for such, I have struck out on the internet. YES, AND THANKS TO EVERYONE IN VT WHO HAVE BEEN SO FRIENDLY. to quote "You have made me so very happy."

Cagayan de Oro City 1 day 1 night trip in camiguin, cdo and butuan from cbu
Posted: Fri May 2, 2008 03:57 PM UTC
Hi!

I need help for our trip in camiguin, cdo and butuan.

My husband and I we're going to camiguin this coming may 14, hopefully we will arrive at the warf at 8am then we will go directly go to camiguin. We are planning to stay in camiguin for only one night and on the following day at noon we will be going back to cdo and spend one night at cdo and on the following day at noon, we will leave for butuan and stay there for another night and then leave in the morning for surigao del sur to attend the wedding of my friend. ( the main agenda of all the side trips)

We want to maximize our short vacation and tour more places as we can.
Honestly we are short of funds, I just want to keep the promise to myself that we should have at least one vacation a year to spice up more our married life. Basically, in all our accomodations and foods as much as possible we will be using a credit card to stretch our minimal cash budget and in line with that, I am asking the help from the kind hearted people out there to answer my following queries and help us to make our vacation enjoyable and meaningful.

1. Is credit card widely accepted in camiguin, cdo and butuan?
2. Would it be alright if I dont make any advance booking/reservation in those places anyway we will be staying there for only one night each
3. Would it be ok or safe to rent a motorbikes minus the driver and tour the island of camiguin? Is there any motorbikes for rent and how much
4. we are planning to do the following activity:

Camiguin: a.to view the white island
b.Have a cool bath in at least two cold springs, (i'm not familiar with the names..pacensya)
c.Try to have a splunge in one of the hot springs
d.Visit the must see historical places of camiguin

Cagayan: White Water Rafting (Is there any other place to go aside from the canopy walk just to maximize our short stay?)

Butuan: No activity for now (Any suggestions?)

5. Contact numbers of all the people who can make our vacation easier.

Actually I've posted a question already but it is not comprehensive and by that time I'd posted the questions the dates therein are not yet final.

Thanks, thanks, any help is very much appreciated.

Feeling turista,

Cagayan de Oro City Itenerary and budgetin CDO and Camiguin
Posted: Mon March 17, 2008 09:11 AM UTC
Hi All,

Me and my boyfriend are planning to have a vacation in Cagayan De Oro and Camiguin this April 10, 11, 12 and coming home in April 13, 5 pm...

I still haven't planned for my itenerary and a bit worried for our budget.

Is there anybody I can talk to (cellphone would be best)for proposed activities and hotels where I can stay at so that I can have a view of the place and get a glimpse of how much I am going to spend on this vacation.

As I review the blogs, it seems that white water rafting, ziplines in Mapawa and a whole day tour around camiguin would be best.

Can anybody help me with this?

Cagayan de Oro City Anybody wants to join us on March 15-16 for river rafting, caving and canopy walk?
Posted: Fri February 29, 2008 04:55 AM UTC
Hi all,

My friends and I want to do all the adventures that CDO has to offer. But since there's only 3 of us, the rates are pretty expensive. I thought I'd check with our fellow VTers if anyone is interested in joining. The plan is to do either whitewater rafting or pinoy tubing and canopy walk or caving. Might even do all these depending on the shared costs.

Thanks and let's enjoy the adventure!

Cagayan de Oro City CDO and Camiguin, will this itinerary work?
Posted: Tue February 26, 2008 09:38 AM UTC
Hi All,

My friends and I are going to CDO on Mar 14 to 17. I am in the process of putting together an itinerary for our trip. Based on the info I read in VT and in the cdoguide, this is the must-see places I came up with. But I do not have info on length of time for each activity so I'm not sure if these will work. I actually want to maximize enjoyment instead of more places but little time. We really want to do the adventure stuff.

Mar 14 - Arrive in CDO at 1:30pm
2pm - Check-in either in Parkview Lodge or Mass Spec
3pm - 6pm Malasag Eco-village trip
7pm Dinner at Night Market

Mar 15 - White water rafting in the morning
Macahambus and Mapawa Nature Park in the afternoon (doable? will there be enough time? or should we just choose one park?)

Mar 16 - 6am - Camiguin trip, go around, visit White Island

Mar 17 - 11am - Depart Camiguin for CDO
3pm Check-in at airport

Hope our CDO experts can give me pointers and help us improve on our IT.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Cheers,
Liza

Cagayan de Oro City Renting a Car in Cagayan De Oro
Posted: Sun October 14, 2007 10:04 PM UTC
I am interested to rent a car in Cagayan De Oro City sometime in Dec for about a week. Does anyone know of a reliable place for car rentals that is not so expensive. Looking for a SUV if possible. I see that Hertz has 45 USD for a Revo but thats in Manila. Similar price here sounds acceptable to me. I prefer this to the taxi or bus as I thats how I roll.
Any help with this is really appreciated.

Cagayan de Oro City CAVING? (cueba de oro)
Posted: Tue September 4, 2007 03:07 PM UTC
i was wondering if there is an ALTERNATIVE group (similar to DOME) who could guide us while CAVING.

i actually inquired with DOME and s'jerome quoted P5150 for 3pax or P7600 for 10 pax. there'll just be 2 of us and im thinking the price is too steep (or is that reasonable already?)

this will be our first time to go caving if ever this pushes thru ... is it really hard?
