We shall be in Alice Springs at the beginning of November and have a full day spare after travelling up from Uluru. We would like to visit the West McDonnell range and/or Palm Valley.
Any comments on suitable full day tours would be much appreciated. We will then have a morning before we fly on to Cairns. Any suggestions on what we should do? |

Yet another post What is Annies like in Alice Springs. I got a good rate of them for staying there. Is it decent and clean or is it a kip ?? Good v bad points ? Cheers Keith |

Hi, sorry for my many questions but this is a great forum! THanks for all your replies. I've booked a 1/2 day tour of Alice Springs with AAT Kings called "A Town like Alice" and was wondering if anyone else had taken a similar tour. Thanks!

Is it safe to walk around in the town in a group of about 5 people after dark? I read some reports that Alice Springs wasn't very safe and people didn't recommend walking about late. Thanks.

How far (in travelling time) is it from the city centre? And how much will it cost if I'm travelling with a party of 5 adults? Anyone got any good eating places to recommend in Alice Springs?

I'm visiting Alice Springs in early Sept. Can anyone tell me what sort of weather to expect? I'm also planning on staying at the Desert Rose Inn. Any comments on the accommodation? Thanks!

Hi, i am traveling around australia from june to august this year. Please could anyone make any suggestions of things to do/see in Alice Springs as i will be visiting there for a week. Also i am planning on staying in a Hostel called Ossies Homestead, anyone stayed there? know what its like? Cheers!
