Davao City Sorry but i have more question :)
Posted: Tue April 22, 2008 10:30 AM UTC
Plan has change I am going to stay in davao for 2 days so I can really explore Davao properly.I was just reading through an info about things to do in davao and i came across paradise island and had a look at some photos and I reckon it looks nice. I wanted to know how to get there if im staying at the city centre and how much will it cost starting from the boat ride to and from the entrance fee and what amenities we can use or what activities we can rent while were there. 1 day will be the island tour and the 2nd day will be my mainland tour before heading to kidapawan.
Thanks so much for all the information you've been a great help

Should I visit the farthest first and do the last one that is closest to the terminal. So maybe if you can help me with this as well please.

Posted: Sat April 19, 2008 01:59 PM UTC
I'm flying back to philippines this may 3 and will be flying back to Davao on the 4th of May and will be arriving late in davao around 9pm and I have plans to have a good but quick tour around Davao city while im there in just 1 day on May 5.One of the place i wanna go to is Pearl farm and I wanted to do the day tour so I need to know how to go about doing this and the cost, where to make reservation and etc, also in this one day I wanted to visit the other tourist spot in davao if possible so any suggestion would be much appreciated. This is my first time in Davao so I have no clue where is the cheapest but clean place to stay and how to make my plan of touring davao possible with the little time I have. At the end of the afternoon I need to go to kidapawan so i am wondering how do i get there, the cost and also if you any of you can give me a timetable for wither buses or van to go from Davao to Kidapawan so I can maximize my day in Davao.

Cheers

Davao City Whitewater rafting
Posted: Mon April 14, 2008 01:05 AM UTC
To those who have tried the whitewater rafting... is this activity okey for an 11 year old? We've included this in our itinerary (my kids really wanted to try this out, they're very insistent actually) however, my husband wanted to forgo with it coz according to him it's somewhat risky. Is it safe for my youngest son (11 y/o)? Thanks for any information that you would give me.

Davao Help needed
Posted: Thu April 10, 2008 04:11 AM UTC
Hi everyone!

We are visiting Davao this June (3 days and 2 nights) and I have 2 options in mind. I need help before I make final arrangements.

1- Book at Pearl Farm. Leave the resort in the morning to go to other places like crocodile farm, eden park, philippine eagle, malagos garden, etc. and return back in the afternoon. Is this possible? Is the boat ride readily available? Shall we have to pay for the boat ride everytime we leave the resort?

2- Book at a hotel in the downtown area then just take a day-tour at Pear Farm?

Which do you think is a better choice? Thanks in advance for your feedbacks.

Davao City Searching For a Hotel in Davao
Posted: Mon March 24, 2008 01:23 AM UTC
I tried a website listing Davao hotels, but for the few places that gave an E-mail address it was either not working, or no one on the receiving end can be bothered to reply. So, here is what I am looking for:
"Must Haves"
- price range 1000 - 1500 pesos/night, single room, double occupancy
- private bath
- the room must have a window
- the building must have a lift, if over 4 storeys.
"Nice to Haves"
- a swimming pool, suitable for fitness swimming ( at least 20 metres long)
A nearby pool would be OK - see my post below this one.
- good proximity to buses, jeepneys or whatever public transportation is there
- in or close to city centre
- accepts international credit cards
If you or anyone you know knows a place, please pass the essential elements of this message to them. I am willing to be flexible and consider any reasonable proposals, if only I could get some ! Reply to: songsamnatee@hotmail.com Thank you !

Davao City Public Swimming Pools in Davao ?
Posted: Fri March 21, 2008 04:02 AM UTC
Do you know of any ? Please provide:
1. Name of Pool
2. Address/Location - give sufficient info. that a tourist can find the place
3. Days and hours of operation
4. Admission fee

Public pools, hotel pools, or any others which permit casual users on a "walk-in" basis. I will only be there for a few days, so am not interested in places with a requirement for monthly or annual memberships. Thank you in advance. Reply here, or E-mail: songsamantee@hotmail.com

Davao Trip to Davao on Summer
Posted: Sun February 10, 2008 06:42 PM UTC
Hi Everyone!

My friends and I will be in davao first week of March (8-10). I need some suggestions since I'm not really familiar with the place.

Which is better to stay at in terms of safety and cleanliness? Davao Imperial Hotel or Sampaguita Inn?

On march 8, we'll be going in samal and stay at punta del sol. scuba diving will be on the 9th in the morning and go on beach hopping the whole afternoon. Probably, going to Paradise.

On march 10, we'll be going back in downtowm davao early in the morning and check in. Then, visit, Crocodile farm, Gap, Eden.

Do you have any other suggestions on where else we can go? how about cheap buffet resto's?

Any information will be much appreciated..

Davao City pls help.... davao itinerary on a budget
Posted: Fri January 4, 2008 08:08 PM UTC
hi

me and my friends are planning to go to davao on feb 19 - 20 (3days 2nights).
We are really on a budget, aksi yung ibang kasama ko walang work :)

anyways, ive read some posts here and ive copied their plans. so here it is:

DAY 1 (feb 18 Mon):
- arrive at davao airport 7AM. will check in crown regency (any other good hotels taht is not too pricey?) .
- tour at Phil. Eagle, Malagos Garden, Eden, and crocodile farm.
- will return for crown regency and will have dinner at jack's ridge

DAY 2 (feb 19, Tue):
- will head for samal island at Paradise island and stay there the whole day till afternoon.
- will return for crown regency and will have dinner somewhere at any of the restaurants at Torres St.

DAY 3 (feb 20, Wed):
- 8am - will tour the city. have lunch somewhere, and will shop at Aldevincos.
- 12noon - will check out of crown regency
- buy pasalubongs, tiour the city before catching our flight back to manila.

here are my queries:
1. is anything in our plan that i should change?
2. pls advise how much will it cost us for the entrance fees, transpo (excluding hotel and airfare)
3. once we are in davao, is it better for us to just commute (ride a jeepney/taxi) or should we hire a private transpo? magkano kaya?

budget lang talaga, hirap talaga magtravel pag di mayaman hehehe

thanks

Davao pearl farm to paradise island
Posted: Thu December 27, 2007 04:50 PM UTC
Good day!
Is transportation available from Pearl Farm to Paradise island? You see, the boat schedules from Pearl Farm to Davao Marina are limited. I have a 5J flight to Manila at 1440. If I take the 1300 boat schedule I will not make it on time. If I take the 1000 schedule it will be too early. I like to stay at the resort longer. If it's possible, I will check-out around 12 noon then go to Paradise Island. From there, I will ride a boat to Sasa wharf. The question is, Are there any public motor vehicles from Pearl Farm to Paradise island? How long and how much will it take? Also, what are the schedules of boat transfers from Paradise island to Sasa wharf? Thanks.

Davao City Help! any suggested itinerary for a 4D3N Davao trip this february?
Posted: Fri November 23, 2007 06:58 AM UTC
my wife and I have booked a flight to davao for 4 days and 3 nights (from feb 14-17, 2008). we availed PAL's PALAKBAYAN package, where we will stay at Crown Regency for the duration of our trip. since we cannot stay anywhere else, we will essentially start and end our day at Crown Regency.

i have browsed some tips/reviews/etc on this site and ideally, we would want to visit the following areas:
- aldevinco - for pasalubong
- jack's ridge - for that famous dinner, overlooking the city
- philippine eagle place - it's something we really wanna see
- eden nature park - i've read great reviews about this place
- malagos garden - if only to see those waling-walings
- crocodile farm - i wouldn't wanna miss seeing them on feeding time
- paradise island - a cheaper alternative daw to pearl farm
- those malls, restaurants, cafe around the city - gusto namin gumimik every night. i heard masarap daw talaga ang kainan sa davao. puro "eat all you can" daw. we'd love to try it out.
- other places that we may have missed.

any suggested itinerary for our trip will be very much appreciated.

1. also, can i ask if may day trip din ba sa paradise island gaya ng sa pearl farm? kung P1500 yung sa pearl farm, how much would it cost sa paradise island?
