I was born there but I haven't rent any motorcycle in there. So, my question would be, what if tourist wants to rent motorcycle as there transportation, where can we find them and any contact information? I know there's alot but it's been 4 years since i left the city. Thanks...

Please help me. I need to find out how to travel from Bacolod to Dumaguete by land (and how long the travel is). I'm planning for my trip in end March and I would appreciate any info. Thank you!

I wold like to rent a motorbike in Duamguete or a town near Dumaguete.
Does any one know where to rent a motorbike. I cant find any information
using Google or travelbooks.

Is there a RORO ferry that services the Dumaguete - Santander, Cebu (or any nearby port) route?

If there is, can you tell me about schedules and fares. I plan to take this route on Dec. 2, 2006 from Cebu City.

As for trip details, I plan to ride my motorcycle from Iloilo City via Bacolod City to Cebu City come end of November. That will be two ferry rides from the islands of Iloilo and Negros via the Iloilo - Bacolod and San Carlos - Toledo ferrys.

On the way back from Cebu,I plan to ride down to Santander and take the ferry to Dumaguete and then back to Bacolod. I expect to be back in Iloilo by Sunday, Dec. 3.

Are they still serving the Griiled Pork there which is that my favorite?
How about the employee are they serve good to the customer?

hi, we will be going to dumaguete in october. anyone know of any good and cheap tour packages for dolphin watching in Bais City? How about for Siquijor day tour as well? Is it easy to tour siquijor on our own.

Also, might be thinking of staying at Sta Monica Beach Resort. Any feedback on this place?? Is it worth staying here? What other recommendations do you have for Dumaguete City area>?

Hi. I am currently working on going to Dumaguete city to study at Silliman University. I am 23 years old and an Army veteran and I have the Montgomery GI bill.

I am very confused and have many questions about the process, as it seems it is seldom done. I have already tried calling and emailing the school and consulate, but they are not great help. (the school doesn't answer all emails and my distance is too far to call (it is bad reception).

I'll try to make it direct though. I think it might be faster and easier to enter the Philippines on a tourist visa, and then apply to have it converted to student visa.

Is this the best way to go, considering I only have a few months before the first term starts? I have NOT received my notice of acceptance from Silliman yet.. because I just sent my documents to them on Feb 10.

As I understand it, I should have my Notice of acceptance, plus my medical and police (authenticated) clearances, plus chest X rays, plus an authenticated copy of my transcript... I think I need those in hand when I go to the Philippines, when I want to convert my visa.

MY question is: If I do choose to convert a tourist visa to a student visa, how do I enter the Philippines with a one way ticket? will I have to buy a round trip one and just not use it?

I have other questions:
police clearance: do I need a state clearance or an FBI clearance? I have both.. but the consulate could not authenticate the FBI one, it is only "sen and noted" is that okay?

where do I go to get the (form 11) medical certificate and lab tests... and x rays? I really don't want to pay to get these done. can I just go to a VA hospital? Can I get it done in Manila .. I can surely afford to have it done there.

I"LL BE TRAVELLING WITH MY 1 1/2 YR OLD SON and I'd like to know if travelling by bus wouldn't be difficult for a toddler.

i'm planning to be in dumaguete for about two weeks in mid april. where should i stay? i've been there before but only for one day en route to siquijor. i found dumaguete charming and would like to visit for a longer time. is there any surfing somewhere close to town? good restaurants? hotels? any helpful info would be much appreciated?
