Hi! Were planning have Dumaguete/Siquijor tour next year.... Can anyone suggest an itinerary, tourist spots, and nice place to stay?

How easy is it to travel between the two?

Me and my partner is planning to have christmas in dumaguete. We would like to know if how's dumaguete during christmas? where we can go and what to do when we we get there. Any information would be helpful.

does any one knows gplines website???? well as far as i know i just visit this link http://www.gplines.cjb.net/ and they only have 2 ships remaining....routing cebu, dumaguete, dapitan,and zamboanga. the 2 ships name; mv zamboanga ferry and mv georich.

We are planning to go to dumaguete, does anybody know about san antonio hot spring in sibulan, is this some kind of a resort? is there an accomodation where we can spend the night just in case we dont want to go back to dumaguete city? around how much a room would cost us if any?

We Arrive here in Dumaguete City last May and I'll been looking for a Decent Gym
to work out?I try the gym at the back of Hypermart with the Badminton Court
its a big joke.No thread mill they only have one old stationary bikes for Cardio
not much equipment?

looking for opinions on some hotels viiting for the 3rd time in Dec. have stayed at Maria Luisa and Bethel also Palwan, but am considering the check inn across from the market or harolds mansion maybe for a few weeks stay, or in and out of town. tnx in advance maybe see ya at Mc D's

Need help, please! Have been browsing the Dumaguete Forum, but I need current information. Arriving 11/11/08 at DGT about 9:00 am, going straight to Siquijor and spending two nights in either Coco Grove Beach Resort, Charisma Beach Resort or Coral Cay. Questions: 1. How do I get from airport to pier and how much? 2. How much and what ferry to take from DGT to Siquijor and what is the schedule? 3. Which of the above is the best resort (facilitites & beach? 4. How do I get from Siquijor pier to beach resort and how much? Will be returning to DGT on 11/13/08 and hopefully spend the night at Bethel House, then depart for MNL 11/14/08 at 5:00 pm. Questions: Where is a good place to have fresh seafood? I heard Lab-as?? On the morning of 11/14, is it possible to go to Valencia, sightsee and swim and be back to the airport to make flight? How long is the trip? How do I get there and how much? Thanks in advance for any help.

they say that maria luisa is nice. why you did not enjoy your stay at maria luisa can you make it specific pls, it will be helpful if you do. tnx.. there's only 2 names on my mind harold's mansion and maria luisa but i tend to choose maria luisa because it is just within the city proper.. pls help.. i will be at dumaguete this saturday aug. 2, 2008..tnx a lot

Hi, would anyone know what bus to take if you are going to sibulan from dumaguete city? How about from sibulan to valencia?

Finally, we are planning to follow this itinerary on our first day in Dumaguete:
9:30am - ETD for Sibulan
10am - ETA in Sibulan
- head to Twin Lakes of Balinsasayaw
Lunch
1pm - head to Valencia
Forest Camp and Casaroro Falls
4pm - head back to Dumaguete City

Is this itinerary possible? Would we not have a hard time traveling back to Dumaguete City from Valencia at 4pm?

Also, would anyone have an idea about the schedule of the first bus going to Bais City?

I am arriving Dumaguete at 8am and would like to tour the city first before heading to Bais. Do you know anyone who rents a van? The reason why we need to rent (and not use public transport) is because we will have our luggage with us and do not want to carry it around. The only contact I have is charging Php4000 for van which includes fuel and drop off at La Planta Hote BAIS.

Hi!Can anyone help me with my itenerary:

1) I plan to go to Bais overnight and stay at LA PLANTA, however the numbers given online are all out of service. Does anyone have an updated number? The one I have is 035 5415755 and 035 4038321.

2) I want to go dolphin watching and read that I need to reserve in the tourist office. The number I have is not in service 035 5415161 and 035 4028174. Can anyonw help me update this number or perhaps have a contact of a boatman I can hire? I read it is around Php2500 for a 15-seater boat.

3) In Dumaguete I'll be staying at PURA VIDA. It was recommended by a friend. I saw online that it looks nice. Anyone with feedback?

4) Should I book my APO tour in advance or is it better/cheaper to contact a local when I get there.

Hi, family arriving afternoon Mactan/Cebu from Europe late Jan seeking advice please from experienced PI travellers as to the best itinerary and method of travel to avoid time wasting and make the most of our 17 day stay..
From Mactan we would like to visit but not necessarily in this order;- Kalibo/Panay - Panglao/Bohol - Dumaguete/Negros and then return to Mactan for our return flight..Appreciate any input for painless way to take these places in.

Anyone here who's going dolphin watching? My sisters and I will be in Dumaguete from Nov 15 to 19. Planning to go dolphin watching but we are hoping we could join a group or have more people to save on boat rental, and also so that we can request the tour operator from the Tourism office at Bais to help prepare lunch. I heard they charge about 250 (?) per hear if we ask them to prepare the lunch kaso they have minimum of 10pax. We are only 3. Also, any suggestions ala off the beaten path things to do in dumaguete? We have schedules in Bais and Apo already. Siquijor is also possible.

I am visiting Dumaguete City by Oct. 30th 2007, I need a car to visit my sick grandma in Bayawan about 100kph away from Dumaguete but we will be flying to Dumaguete is there anyone here knows about a cheaper rent a car like BUDGET or AVIS coz i found a rent a car and its privately owned asking rate is $50 a day which for me is very expensive. I will be travelling with my 5 kids (little kids) so I needed a van..I have rented a car from BUDGET and AVIS before I spent abot $150 for a week this one i found is about $340 bucks.. way to expensive..Please if theres anyone here knows anything in this regards please reply to me here... we're planning a holiday to negros oriental specifically dumaguete and bais but there's not enough info here in VT to help me plan my trip so i've got a number of questions i'm hoping anyone here can answer:

1. what are some things we can do in dumaguete/bais/negros oriental?
2. not counting airfare and accomodations, how much money should i bring? is a budget of P6,000-P7,000 for food, transportation around the island and activities enough? among other things we plan to go swimming/snorkelling at apo island and dolphin/whale watching
3. where's a good and not so expensive place to stay in dumaguete?
