| Palma de Mallorca | Does the bus run on Sunday? Posted: Tue October 20, 2009 11:05 AM UTC
I am shortly coming to Palma for a few days and will arrive on a Sunday. I know that there is a bus which runs from the airport to virtually opposite my hotel so I'm really keen to take it. . .but I'm wondering whether the buses run ona Sunday?
Can anyone advise me? Thank you |

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE ARRIVING IN PALMA ON TUESDAY MORNING AND OUR CRUISE SHIP LEAVES PALMA IN THE EVENING. WE THEREFORE HAVE ONE WHOLE DAY IN WHICK TO GET TO AND EXPLORE PALMA. WE HAVE NOT BEEN INTO PALMA SINCE OUR HONEYMOON 28 YEARS AGO SO WE ARE KEEN TO GO BACK ON THIS TRIP. COULD YOU ADVISE HOW TO GET INTO THE CITY FROM THE CRUISE SHIP PORT PLEASE? I BELIEVE OUR SHIPS WILL BE IN DOCK QUITE A WAY BACK AND SO THEY USUALLY CHARGE JUST TO GET YOU OFF THE PORT (CHEEKY). WOULD IT JUST BE BEST TO GET A TAXI FROM THE END OF THE PORT OR ARE THERE BUSES AVAILABLE DO YOU KNOW? ANY INFO WOULD BE WELCOME. THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR ATTENTION. Usually we seek some sunshine in the Med in September/October when the sea is warm and the resorts are quiet.
Next year we are thinking about seeing the Med in springtime, in particular the week before Easter. I've seen cheap flights to Mallorca from the UK but wondered whether we should be staying in the mountains or near the sea? There are some amazing properties for rent in the mountains, compared to the bland beachfront developments. Soller in particular looks remarkable and sounds like it should be lively, even in early spring. Will the mountain train to Palma be running that time of year? We are not going to lie on the beach all day, but will want some sun! Is there much climate difference across the island? We like the idea of hiking the mountains, but would it be too chilly, wet or windy the last week of March? |

Hi I am visiting Ibiza later next week had some queries..
1. How to reach Figuerettas beach.. I am booked at Maritimo.. from the airport.. by bus.. 2. Since I hv 2 daz.. I plan on evening 1.. go to Amnesia .. for the foam party.. and the next day explore some 4-5 beaches on bus for 1-2 hour each kinda.. any ideas.. which would be the best beach in terms of crystal clear water-sands-not too rough or deep at the shore.. 3. also is travelling all around ibiza in hop-on-hop-off bus an easy fish?... to sorta beach hopping...what r the timings and are there sm one day unlimited travel passes? |

Hi I wl be i Ibiza with my wife for 2 daz in third wkend of Sept.. the first(rather half aday and all night ) day is reserved for playa d'en bossa, figuerettas(where we r staying) and then amnesia foam party..
i wanted sm suggestions for 2nd day.. looking forward to beach hopping.. say 3/4 good beaches clear water..and clear sands and ideally low depth at the beach end so that we can do some light swimming.. Can you suggest say 1/2 solitary beaches and 1/2 relatively more touristy ones in Ibiza and how to reach them..? |

please can you send me information on different walks we can do from Aucanada timeshare in Alcudia. We would like to maybe walk to a nearby village , beach, tourist site aprox 3 hour walk then maybe catch a bus back to Alcudia. Another day carch a bus further away then walk 3-4 hours or to next village and return to Alcudia by bus/train. Please help! Thankyou! Wendy

We are going to Mallorca in few days and gonna stay at Cala Mayor (close to Palma) As i am aware that busses only run until around 12, and driving is not an option under considerable influence of alcohol, how much would a taxi ride cost from palma to cala mayor? how about from palma nova to cala mayor? Anybody knows how is the nightlife in cala mayor like? (i am not looking for hardcore partying, just lively bars and cafes) Many thanks before!! :) |

Hi.. I am planning 2 daz at Ibiza at the second half of September with my wife.. Flying from Pisa and flying out to Rome(gettg sm cheap deals :))..
I am pretty confused where to stay at Ibiza.. Since I hv 2 daz.. We have been looking at car hire for a week as we are travelling from Palma Nova to Cala Millor and wanted a car for the 2nd week of our hoiday on the east coast. The prices on all types of car hire are are pretty steep - has anyone hired cars in resort and has that proved cheaper than over the Internet?
Also, we wanted to eat out at some 'genuine'Spanish restaurants - not just touristy - any recommendations - in palma nove or cala millor? |
