Opinion on Manila-Baguio-Sagada-Banaue-Manila Posted: Wed October 14, 2009 05:12 AM UTC
I will be visiting Phillipine for the first time this coming november, however i have concern on the country condition right now. Do you think that everything will be clear by early november?
Me and my friend will be heading to sagada, baguio and banaue and back to Manila, we have about 8 or 9 days in phillipines before we going back to malaysia. Is there any advice on how many days we should stay in each of the places mentioned above? is 4 or 5 days sufficient enough? and if we have extra days, where else in phillipine we should discover? thinking of nice beaches or island near to manila and convenient to go and back from there.
Other question on sagada route.
1. What are the best route to get to Manila-Baguio-Sagada-Banaue and straight back to manila. And what's the distance like from manila? (hours on bus ride)
2.What the bus like from Manila to there and what time is the departure? Do we need to make reseravation with the bus-to and from?
3.What about our transportation around Sagada? I believe there are places that needs a ride. How much will it cost per day or per person?

Cauayan to Banaue-Bontoc-sagada and V.V Posted: Sun October 11, 2009 03:03 PM UTC
HI
I am considering taking the flight from Manila to Cauayan and from Cauayan - to take a bus to Banaue .
from Banaue- a bus to Bontoc and Sagada.(not on the same day)
I am looking for the bus schedule from Cauayan to Banaue and from Banaue to Cauayan so that I can book the flights according to it.
If there is a car rental agency in Cauayan that has 4WD cars to rent -it might be even better.
I will be glad to receive any information...
Thanks

4D3N in Sagada-How to have a successful trip? Posted: Wed October 7, 2009 05:42 AM UTC
Hi Guys!
Need help. My friends and I are planning for a 4D3N stay in Sagada. We're only four. We're thinking we'll do it ourselves and not through any travel agency. Normally, if through travel agency, its 3D2N and it's a rush when you go to any place. We want to take our time with each place and enjoy the scenery. Our departure here in Manila is Wednesday night and departure in Sagada is Sunday morning. We'll appreciate if you could help us to become our trip a memorable one. Our trip will be next month, November. Below are some of our dilemas:
1.What bus are we going to take from Manila and what time is the departure? In short, how can we take a commute ride from Manila to Sagada? Do we need to make reseravation with the bus-to and from?
2.Where can we stay? Preferably near everything, downtown. Do we need to make a reservation? If it is, do you have any contact #s to provide us?
3.Suggested itenerary for our stay-what should we do and what should we know?
4.Where's the best place to eat?
5.How about the tour guide? How much?
6.What about our transportation around Sagada? I believe there are places that needs a ride. How much will it cost us per day?

Cheap Tour Package Posted: Sat April 18, 2009 01:32 PM UTC
My friend and I are planning to go to Sagada May 1. We're planning to take a 3 days 2 night tour package for approximately 6,000 per person. This would include the accomodation, the itinerary, transfers for going around Sagada and the guide fees. Unfortunately, this does not include transpo yet. We're planning to take PUV's going there. My questions are:
How do you get to Sagada from Manila via passenger vans and bus? Would there be sufficient time if we leave Thursday night?
Is there a cheaper way of getting aroound Sagada? Cheaper packages or maybe cheaper accomodations? Thank you!

Hi!
My hubby and I are planning to drive our way to Banaue, leave the car there, and take a jeepney or bus to Sagada. Can you suggest any place where we can safely leave our car? Do hotels/inns in Banaue accommodate vehicles of guests going to Sagada? Thanks in advance!

Manila-Baguio-Sagada-Banaue-Baguio-Manila? or is there a better route? Posted: Sun March 22, 2009 08:28 AM UTC
Hi all!
We will be traveling to Baguio this summer, taking two children with us, 10 and 14 years.
Would it be advisable to make Baguio as our base, spend 1 or 2 nights there. Then we proceed to Banaue to see the terraces, then not overnight but eventually overnight in Sagada? Then, back to Baguio on our way home to Manila? Or is there a direct bus from Sagada to Manila?
Or
We arrive in Baguio, spend 2 nights there. Then, go to Sagada, overnight, then go to Banaue to see the rice terraces, then either go back to Baguio or find a direct route back to Manila?
We are just thinking if the kids can handle the long trips? Are the trips long from any point to point destinations in the routes I mentioned?
Manila-Baguio
Baguio-Sagada
Sagada-Banaue
Banaue-Baguio
Thanks!

Dapdapanan Inn, itinerary, etc. Posted: Mon March 2, 2009 12:48 PM UTC
Hi! I do hope someone can help me with all my questions. My family is planning a trip to Sagada and Banaue in early April. It's a 4-day trip, and I'm a bit worried that that's too tight. Please look over our itinerary, because to me it seems bitin. Roughly, the sched that the tour organizer gave us is:
DAY1
Walking tour of Banaue's town proper (church, hanging bridge)
DAY2
Tour of Banaue rice terraces view points, then drive to Sagada
Bontoc Museum
Sumaguing Cave
DAY3
Echo Valley
Return to Banaue
DAY4
Walking tour of rice terraces
Back to Manila
We were supposed to stay in George Guest House in Sagada, which is my first choice, but it's fully booked. So far, the tour organizer says that the only hotel with space for us (we're a big group -- 8 adults, 3 kids) is Dapdapanan Inn. I saw a map of Sagada, and it looks like Dapdapanan is quite far from everything. From Manila, we will have a coaster, though I'm not sure if it will be with us all the way. It seems that between Banaue and Sagada, we might be on a jeepney. Will the distance of Dapdapanan be inconvenient and cost us precious time?
Also, how is Dapdapanan Inn? We don't expect luxury accommodations (I know that doesn't exist in Sagada), but we do want clean rooms and private bathrooms, and especially, hot showers. Also, how's their food? Breakfast is included in the package so I hope their food is good.
The kids with us are 8 years old. Will they be able to handle Sumaguing Cave, or is it too dangerous for them? We will also be with two senior citizens -- they're relatively fit for their age (not athletic, but not overweight), but I'm still worried about their ability to handle the slippery rocks and rapelling.
Thank you so very much in advance. I'm sorry this is such a long post, but my family has been wanting to go on this trip for many years, so now that we're finally going, we want to make sure we make the most of it. The probability is that we won't get to do this again.

Driving from Manila to Sagada Posted: Wed February 25, 2009 08:04 AM UTC
Hi, we are driving from Manila to Sagada this Saturday. Can you help us decide on the best route? We have always stayed in Baguio overnight on the way. This time we are driving straight through. Should we try a new route through Nueva Vizcaya?
Thanks for your help?
