Fujairah diving in fujeirah
Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 08:11 PM UTC
anybody knows what is the best place for diving in fujeirah? and how far is the place from Le Meridien Hotel?
Ive heard Dibba rock is the best for divig. Is it far from the Le Meridien? What about musendam?
Last time I was in fujeirah we stayed at "Royal Beach" on the east coast and dived with "freestyle divers". is that the best place to go to dive or there are any other better places to go?

Fujairah Where to stay
Posted: Thu October 4, 2007 07:45 PM UTC
Hi, I live in Ireland and am meeting an Australian friend in UAM for Christmas this year. We chose to fly to Dubai as it is approximatelly half way for both of us to meet. Neither of us know anything about UAE so I am hoping someone out there may be able to help us. I have spent hours online looking for somewhere nice to stay and anywhere I like seems to be booked up, like Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort for instance.
I have chosen Fajairah as it seems to be away from the Hussle and Bussle, looks very romantic, and less expensive than "down town Dubai"We would also be big into spa treatments and general "Chilling Out" type holidays with maybe a couple of wild nights out thrown in for good measure !!!!
I expect to arrive on 20th December and stay for 12 nights.

Fujairah Getting around in Fujairah

After reading about the crazy driving in Fujairah - and me being a nervous driver - are taxis a safe and reliable (not to mention cheap) alternative to driving a car myself?

Fujairah Sandy Beach Hotel, Fujairah

Thinking of driving up from Oman for Eid and spending a few days here with my family. Has anyone stayed there and what is it like? The web site looks good, I was wondering if it was similar to the Omani resort Al Sawadi

Fujairah Any Fujairah residents here?
Posted: Mon June 19, 2006 09:25 AM UTC
My girl friend and I are planning on a trip to Fujairah on our own (no travel agents) :-) I just do not know where to start. I have learned from the forum that there is a bus in Deira going to Fujairah. Where does it actually stop? Is it in Dibba? I want to visit the church in Dibba, any residents here who we can meet up with and help us in the tour? What else can we do in Fujairah? Is taxi ride there cheap? How about accommodations? Thanks.

Fujairah Taxi to Fujairah from Dubai
Posted: Mon July 4, 2005 03:42 PM UTC
Thanks for your replies to my previous question!
There is no free hotel transfer. The hotel charges Dh250 for a ride(that can accommodate 6 people) but unfortunately I'm all by myself. That is really expensive.
I know I can take a taxi, it should be safe. But will a taxi charge more than Dh250? Does anyone have any idea?
I read from Lonely Planet that there is a mini-bus from Deira. Is it a safe and not-too-troublesome alternative for a single female?

Fujairah Hotel & Ramadan situation in Fujairah
Posted: Wed September 15, 2004 02:22 PM UTC
As we have been a few times to Dubai we decided this time to have a change. We had decided on Abu Dhabi but after e-mailing hotels I found out that during Ramadan period there is absolutely no alcohol allowed not even in the hotels after sunset. Can anyone tell me if the situation is the same in Fujairah. Our travel agent says there's not a problem but I would like to hear from someone here regrding this.
Also has anyone been to the Meridien Al Aqah?

Thanks

Fujairah Snorkeling sites in Fujairah?
Posted: Sat January 31, 2004 01:31 PM UTC
I have heard that Fujairah has some very nice snorkeling sites. Can someone please tell me about these and where we might also stay a night or two there at a reasonable cost? Are there places to snorkel right from the shoreline? Or do you have to take a boat? Can I rent my equipment (and at what approximate cost?), including a snorkeling vest, or can I buy a vest locally? I'm no longer a very strong swimmer, unfortunately, but I'm mesmerized by the beautiful fish and their habitats!

Thank you...
