Hi,

Does anyone know if Sharjah airport will have any cafes open and designated covered smoking areas during daylight hours (approxmately 5 - 6am)? I have a very early flight and would like to have breakfast at the airport. I know that Sharjah is more devout than Dubai.

Hay People,

I am travelling to Mumbai from Istabul. However i have a long layover 14hrs in Shrajah airport. What is the story reference visa requirments? I am thinking if i stay in the aiport there is no need for visa as i am in transea? Could you please give me some information!

Hi guys,

Presently I am staying in Sharjah on a Visit Visa. My Visit Visa states a validity of 30 days from the date of arrival but my friends told me that the actual validity is 60 days from the date of arrival. Anybody can clear this point?

i will be attending a meeting in sharjah and my male friend will be coming with me since i dont want to travel alone. will we get arrested if we stay in the same room?

aloha...i will be one whole day and one night in sharjah before catching my next flight. what should i do in sharjah? because my travel guide is not giving much infos about sharjah (dont want to go to dubai though)...anything good to do in sharjah?

We are arriving 0730 at Sharjah airport and departing 0130 next morning from Dubai airport. We are thinking of getting an inexpensive hotel for the day in December 2007 and found this hotel. But can't find any independent reviews or the hotel's web site. Does anyone have any personal experience on this hotel.

I have a ten hour transit in Sharjah most of which will be during the day in Ramadan. Will the restaurant and refreshment facilities be available within the airport at that time? Another option is for us to come out of the airport and head into town for a few hours - again is there anywhere in either Sharjah or Dubai that will be serving food and refreshments? I recall the Irish Village used to be open during the day in Ramadan - is that still the case.

Can I bring my PC ( Only CPU ) to sharjah?. Will customs allow carrying a PC to sharjah?

Hi all,

I'll be landing in Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight at around 7 am and have the whole day to while away until my connecting flight at 9pm.

I plan to do a Dubai city tour.

Can anyone advise what is the best way to do this. Join a tour or simply hire the taxi. I much prefer hiring a taxi since this gives me more flexibility. Can anyone advise how much would it cost to hire a taxi for a few hours around Dubai and then back to Sharjah airport?

I am planning to visit Dubai in April 07. However, last time I visited Dubai I found one could commute by cabbie to Sharjah. Of late, the flight tickets on Emirates / Gulf Air cost a bomb whereas to Sharjah is quite cheap. I am thus planning to visit Dubai for an exhibition via Sharjah. Could one write to me about the Visa formalities, please???

My wife and I are going to Sharjah from 29 Dec 2006 to 1 Jan 2007, for oue honeymoon. Apparently, we didn't check that 31 Dec is a big muslim holiday and was wondering if most of the shops will be closed during these periods?

Another thing is that we like to experience any places that we go by ourselves instead of relying on travel agencies as we feel that getting anywhere is the best part. So what is the best place to go in Sharjah and Dubai. We are not really keen on beaches or shopping complexes, but would like to see the real Dubai, not the touristy side.

Lastly, how much is the taxi fare from Dubai Airport to Sharjah? I don't mean those private car services, but metered taxis. We would really like to tour Sharjah and Dubai from a local point of view, like we did in Egypt where we met a local taxi driver who bring us around.

Any help is appreciated.

I am considering to go to Sharja first 2 weeks in December. I´ve read that the weather is quite nice. But what about the water temperature? I do not like cool water (for me "cool" is everything below 25 degree C) and I do not like strong waves. This is the most important criteria for my choice of vacation place. I´ve never been to U.A.E. and therefore it would be nice to visit this country. But if I cannot swim in the ocean - then I prefer going to some other place...
