i have read that you can take a tour to manavgat and see the waterfalls,can i just get a bus there to see this,also what other places can i visit by bus.can i get the bus to the waterpark in alanya or do i have to take a tour?we are staying in mahmutler,any advice will be great.

Am catching a ferry from Alanya to Cyprus I believe the ferry arrives in Girne but what time of day? and how far is it from the greek border ? is there a regular bus service from Girne to the Greek border and beyond ? Am arriving on Cyprus the day my visa expires so i must get over into greece the same day.

I have asthma and have read much about this cave. Most say if you have a note from a doctor you can go to this cave at a special time for treatment. Do I have to get the note from my doctor in Sweden or do I get it when I visit Alanya? Thanks in advance for your help.

Can someone suggest character accommodation near the castle/citadel..we are not interested in resort style hotels but would like something with character, clean, comfortable, hot water and preferabley a view.

we own an appartment nearby Mersin. Because summerflights to Adana are so expensive, about euro 500, I'm looking for an alternative (such as a flight to Antalya). I heard that the bustrip takes about 12 hours and is very hard to do. However, could someone give the price for one ticket and perhaps a site where I can find the hours of departure.
Can anybody tell me if it is possible to do the trip by ferry and what is the price of such a trip could be?

We will be in Alanya from 21-28 October and would very much like to visit Northern Cyprus, but have yet to find out whether the summer ferry crossings will still be operating at the end of October, if anyone knows or can offer any other advice I'd be very grateful! Thankyou :))

My family and myself will hopefully be coming to Alanya on the 26th august. I hear the turkish coast is mountainous and the journey from antalya takes two hours. We have hotel trasfers by coach. I am worried that we will have to travel dangerous roads to get to the hotel. Steep hills in a coach does'nt sound like my cup of tea as i'm frightend of hieghts.
Any honest answers greatfully recieved.

if any one of you could help me confirm that new hotel Utopia World Resort is completely finnished (or not) I would be very grateful. My friends are going there in three days with a baby, and they are worried that the building is not finnished yet. If there's someone living in the area, please share the info about it.

hello again! I heard there is a place where people live in trees. I think it is call "olympus turkmen tree houses" no I not make joking. it is near Alanya somewere. does anybody know what it is like and is it near beaches? are there also similiar places near other towns? my ancesters came from caves

is it all right for me to wear my bavarian ledenhausens around?. they are like a leather boiler suit cut off at knees. I seen a scotlands man in kilt getting around so maybe ok for me too but will I attract the womens? i am bit shape like beer barrel with pork pie hat I like wear too. I wear also long white socks with big buckle shoes .will turkish people stare at me?

How many cost to rent a jetski, motorcycle, motorboat, or even a car/jeep in Alanya ?
I heard and read, that in Alanya you will find some local travel agencies, which are organize several tours, like rafting in the nearby mountains (maybe in Taurus mountains?)
How many cost it, or which travel agency offers the best price value?

I'll spend 3 days in Alanya from 25may til 28may. Me and my girlfriend want to spend most time in the sun, relaxing, therefore will take All inclusive and maybe one day visit Alanya. Flights are already booked, but that's were the question which hotel we shall choose comes. We looked up a lot of possibilites and found out 2 great offers in hotels that seem to be both finde:

ACAR HOTEL 3+*** for 41 € per person (3 nights, all inclusive)
DIZALYA CLUB 4**** for 63 € per person (3 nights, all inclusive)

Has anybody already been there? Which one would you choose and why? Where is the nicer beach? Better food? Is 22 € for 3 nights really worth the additional Star?

Can somebody plese tell me something about gay life in Alanya, because I want to come this year on my vaccation. I red last year on the net about one cafe that is all day opened and about some night clubs, but I can not find it now.

Anyone who has been / lives near Alanya know of a smaller, romantic hotel near the sea? I will be travelling with my girlfriend and want to find the right place to stay, for 4-5 nights. If we have a car, is it easier to find such a place outside the city? Thanks for any input.

Well, we did it.
Our holiday is booked and we have decided to stay at the Parador in Alanya.

A little help please;
Approx, how long will it take to drive to Goreme? There will be no rush to get
there so a steady drive is planned with a couple of stops on the way. We intend
to stay in Goreme for 3-4 days and then return to Alanya.

Has anybody any idea what the Parador is like?

I'm traveling this December and I wonder how much bus tickets cost over there during afternoon. Does anyone know? Also, if anyone has experience, would you recommend taking a bus from Antalya airport first to Antalya and then to Alanya or taking for example a taxi to the nearest bus station which I think isn't in Antalya?
