I am looking for detailed information on travel to Cappadocia from Bodrum.
Ideally would like to travel by bus/coach and train as travel by coach only is very long. However, if there is no other option, we will travel by coach.
Would like to travel overnight to Cappadocia, have two nights there and return to Bodrum during the day so that we can enjoy the countryside.
What are the times and costs for this journey and how do I book? The booking pages of websites I have found are in Turkish which makes it impossible to find information or book seats.

2 adults and 4 kids (ages 8-11) are traveling to Bodrum, Turkey and looking for the most friendly family resort. Currently looking at Club Med Palmiye but not sure if it will be enjoyable for the kids. Any advise on great family resorts in the area?

Hey Guys,

Not quite sure if I am posting this in the right forum here, but here goes!

I am off to Gumbet for a week in August, I have been doing some research into what I can do round there.

I have come across a few things which are of a little bit of interest to me. I obviously can't do all of them (as much as I would LOVE to!!), so if anyone could give me an idea of what is achievable/what isn't and also which you would recommend more than the others I would be highly greatful!

Do the day/boat trip to Kos (I have seen that the Joshua Branden Yacht place in Bodrum opposite the Castle Gate is good - does anyone know of these?);
Take a trip to Ephesus;
Do Pamaukale;
Dalaman for the mud baths;
Turkish Baths (Also see that there is a good place across the road from the Bodrum Bus Station which I don't have the name of - again, does anyone know anything about this place?).

As much as I am finding information out about the places which I have mentioned above, I am not finding any price guidelines... does anyone have any ideas of prices? This is just so that I know how much spending money I would need to take with me to cover some of these trips.

Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Any help would be grateful. Looking forward to seeing some replies!

Thanks all!

I was hoping to go to a hotel called Etap Litera just outside Bodrum at the end of the season. Can anyone advise me about this hotel. What is the food like? Is it clean? and does it have a nice beach and a heated pool?

I'm visiting Bodrum in April 2010 - so I imagine it will be a lot quieter than peak season, but I'd really like to know best place to sit and have a coffee with great views, in a quiet area? Sea view?

Also, best place to rent a bicycle?

Many thanks

hi, i'm taking a blue cruise in july and i'm flying to bodrum but i don't arrive till 1 in the morning. is there any cheap hotel near the airport? as i've already paid for the tranfer to bodrum in the moring, i don't really want to get to bodrum and trying to get back to the airport in the morning and get pick up again.

also, has anyone been on the cruise before? it said that "drinks are extra" does that mean alcohol are extra or it meant all drinks including water?

thanks in advance

Taking my 18 year old daughter and friends to Yalikavak in a week's time, having recently bought a house there. She wants to know if there is any nightlife in Yalikavak. She knows she can get a Dolmus to Bodrum etc but is there anything locally?
Any other tips of good bars or restaurants to visit in the area would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
