| Bodrum | Bodrum or Kusadasi ? Posted: Wed April 18, 2007 09:10 AM UTC
Hello everybody!
We are a bunch of friends who are waiting for the summer to visit Turkey again. Last year we stayed in Kusadasi, but we heard that Bodrum might be a better choice. We would like to know how is the night life in Bodrum compared to Kusadasi, and the same about the beaches. Not least, we would like to know if the prices are much bigger in Bodrum than in Kusadasi. Thank you very much!!!!!!!!! |

| Bodrum | Club Dedeman Bodrum Posted: Wed March 14, 2007 05:47 PM UTC
Hi!! We're arriving in Bordrum from Istanbul. I'd highly appreciate it if any of you could answer a few queries about Club Dedeman Bordrum:
1) We will be arriving by an overnight bus. Does anyone know where the bus would drop us and how far would this resort be from the bus stand? Approximately how much would a taxi to the resort cost? 2) We're planning to stay at the resort for a week and we have self catering apartments. But we would like to explore the local cuisine. How far would we have to go to get to the popular restaurants in the area? Are there any good eating joints within walking distance? 3)Any day trips that we can take from Bodrum? What are the interesting sightseeing places that we can go to from the resort? Hope to hear from you soon and thanking each of you in advance :-) |

| Bodrum | Can I enter Turkey from Greece & fly back to the UK from Turkey? Posted: Sat March 10, 2007 04:50 PM UTC
Hello,
In September I am planning to travel from North Wales (U.K.) by train and ferries, across France, Italy, Greece and Greek islands. What I would then like to do is, go by ferry from Greece to Turkey, and end my holiday by staying in Turkey for about 5 to 7 days before flying home from Bodrum airport. Could you please let me know if that is possible. Best of regards. Mr G Jones. |

| Bodrum | Looking for a specific shop Posted: Mon February 19, 2007 10:10 PM UTC
Hey guys,
I was in bodrum last year and we went to Oasis shopping centre - there was this excellent jewellery store there with glass type jewellery and I want to find it online and see if I can order it but I can't at all remember the name of the place. Does anyone have a brochure or any idea what this shop was called? Or can anyone access the website because I can't get into it!!! It would be so very very appreciated :) Thanks Cocuklar, gecen sene Bodrum'a gittim, Oasis Alis Veris Merkeze gittik ve oradan cok guzel ve degisik bir kuyumcu gibi magazadan bir kolye aldim. Sanki camdan yapilmis. Ben bu magazanin adini unuttum ve yeniden bulmaya calisiyorum. Eger haberiniz varsa lutfen bana bildirin, cok yardim edersiniz :) Sagolun |

| Bodrum | please help us Posted: Thu November 2, 2006 08:51 PM UTC
hi i am planning on going to turgutreis for two weeks with my mum and dad and friend. We were planning on staying at the Aegean Dream Resort hotel. My freind and i are both 17 and we were wondering:
If there is many bars and clubs near the hotel or are they all situated in turgutreis? If we went to Bodrum for the night would we have to get a taxi back if we were planning on staying until the early hours of the morning? And is there many beach shops and mini supermarkets near the hotel? thanks i hope someone can help me!! |

We are a party of 14 parents and kids flying into bodrum next july for a holiday in Torba.
Our villa owner has offered to provide the transfer at 140GBP each way. Is that reasonable or is there a cheaper way? Many thanks. |

| Bodrum | Car Hire -v- Taxi Posted: Thu September 21, 2006 02:02 PM UTC
Hi
5 travellers coming to Bitez on 17th October. Looked at websites for car hire and found the excess of £400 a little expensive as it is deducted at time of booking, with the refund at the end of a holiday. Sorry but the interest is better in my account, given the high prices being quoted for the actual hire on-line. We're landing at 02:55, so my question is, would be be better to hire a taxi/minibus to/from the airport and then hire a car for the day, on days we know we want to go exploring, rather than renting for the week? Hope some of you seasoned travellers will be able to help us. Fecks |

| Bodrum | Clubs and stuff Posted: Tue September 12, 2006 04:02 PM UTC
I'm going to Bodrum on the 17th of September and its a lads holiday so were obviously wanting to do the whole club thing. However I have my doubts as to whether there will even be anyone out there our age at this time of year as its late into the summer and everyones back at uni. On top of this there have been a few bombs in marmaris and even though thats a hundered miles from Bodrum were worried everyones going to be put off and its going to be dead.
If anyone could answer this question for me I would be grateful as were thinking of maybe getting it all refunded if thats going to be the case. But if not could you let me know of any good places to go out or whether Bodrum is better than Gumbet for a night clubbing. Cheers people |

I have a few questions as I've never been to Turkey before! We go on Saturday 2nd to Gumbet and there seem to be loads of Lira to the pound! How much is a beer, a coke etc? I've no idea what 5 lira will buy? Are we safe walking about at night? Are there quiet places as well as banging nightlife if we want a change? Thanks all!
