Bodrum BUGGY HIRE
Posted: Tue June 23, 2009 05:12 PM UTC
I will be going to Bodrum/Gumbet later this year. Can anyone tell me if there are hire shops that rent buggies out? By buggy I mean motor vehicle not a baby pram. Been to Greece last few years and buggy rentals are all over and wondered what the situation is in Bodrum as we like to go a run out on one now and again. Many thanks.

Bodrum 5-Star Hotel in Bodrum on the beach, near centrum
Posted: Mon May 11, 2009 06:49 AM UTC
I got stuck with only 2 choices (for a friend's family vacation) which I gather are 2 of the best:

Kempinski - 1st choice but havin 2nd thought as it is secluded alone far away from the bustling centrum and:

Marmara - in centrum but far away from the beach

Others in consideration are : WOW resort (along the beach but looks like 4-star and mixed reviews?), Fuga Fun Times (with beach but a bit far from centrum too? Is it a luxury resort?), Moevenpick (new, again, also far from the beach).

I have gone through all the list at TA. Any other 5-star-luxury hotels / resorts near the centrum and the beach that I missed on the list? Would appreciate suggestions and first-hand info. Thanks...

We are staying at the Kervansary hotel in May and have just looked it up on Google Earth. I am worried that there is no beach at the hotel now, just wooden decking. Can anyone put my worries to rest for me?
Any tips on things to do in Bodrum would be welcome too!
Thanks for your help xx

Bodrum Club Arenna Hotel; Bodrum
Posted: Sun June 29, 2008 06:51 PM UTC
My friend was proposed by travel agent to stay in Club Arenna hotel **** , Bodrum. Either travel agent gave the wrong hotel name or missed the location, but we can not find any info on this hotel except the fact that hotel with same name is situated in Alanya.
Do you know any hotel with same name in Bodrum? If yes, do you have any good or bad info about it?
Many thanks in advance,

Bodrum From Bodrum to Rhodes
Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 06:37 AM UTC
Hello dear VT members,

How long does it take to get to Rhodes from Bodrum by water? Can you do one day trip coming back to Bodrum the same day or it is better to stay overnight?

Does it make sense to rent a car while in Bodrum?

Bodrum Apartment or villa
Posted: Fri April 18, 2008 05:47 PM UTC
Looking for 2 bedroom apartment or villa in the Bodrum area for 1 week beginning August.

For 2 adults and 1 teenager.

We'll have a car, so rural location is fine.

Main requirements - peace and quiet, comfort and air conditioning.

In either case, we don't want to be part of a "complex"!

Any suggestions?

Bodrum Driving conditions around Bodrum
Posted: Sat April 12, 2008 08:20 AM UTC
I want to rent a car for 2-3 days when in Bodrum in July. I wonder if driving in the area and perhaps even up to Ephesus is difficult, may be dangerous for me... I have in my mind the traffic and driving conditions in Istanbul and I m discouraged...

Bodrum Day trips from Bodrum to Ephesus during July
Posted: Sat April 12, 2008 08:12 AM UTC
What are my options for a day trip from Bodrum to Ephesus during July?
Is there a direct public bus from Bodrum to Selcuk? How many hours it takes?
Alternatively, are there organised tours?
I would love a boat tour option via Kusadasi...

I will be staying for 1 week in Bodrum in July and I wonder where I can take day trips by car, so that I leave behind me the spoilt touristic areas and enjoy the inland scenery and unspoilt villages. Thank you!

Bodrum Car hire in Bodrum
Posted: Sat February 23, 2008 03:26 PM UTC
Can anyone recommend a reliable car hire company in Bodrum.
They must offer FULL comprehensive insurance, unlimited mileage AND deliver the car to my apartment (some companies do a delivery service).
This will be the first summer I have a go at driving myself so I need a good rental agency.

Bodrum Bodrum - Shopping over Christmas
Posted: Tue October 30, 2007 07:20 PM UTC
We are flying out to Bodrum between Christmas and New Year to check out the local shops. We are planning on furnishing our apt. which is due for completion mid 2008, and looking at the pros and cons of furnishing ourselves.
We also have to arrange for air con and water heater to be fitted.
Has anybody any experience of buying furniture and arranging delivery themselves?
Have heard that there are many shops on the main road close to Oasis shopping centre and would like to hear from anybody that may have used any of these shops.
Would be grateful for any tips that anybody could offer.

Bodrum Travelling out half term
Posted: Fri October 19, 2007 08:33 AM UTC
Hi,
We have an apartment in Yalikavak but have only been out in May and August in the lovely weather. We are now coming out at the end of October and I can see the weather will probably not be good. Any ideas please on where to go and what to see to try and keep out of the rain and amuse a 7 year old?! So far we haven't travelled much at all as we have been working on our place.
Many Thanks
