Posted: Sun May 25, 2008 05:08 PM UTC
Hi fellow VTers,

Has anyone stayed in Tam-awan Village? What would you say to:
1) How long does it take to hike up(and down) the trail?
2) Are the huts ok to sleep in?
3) Is there a hut with a working hearth in it? How many peeps can it accomodate?

Thanks in advance for your advise =)

Baguio Cheap transients in baguio that also serves dinner/breakfast
Posted: Tue April 1, 2008 03:33 AM UTC
Do you know a transient house/room that can accommodate 5 guys in 1 room and 2 girls in another room. 1 house will do. but must have separate rooms coz these two groups dont know each other. The transient must also can cook dinner and breakfast for them for additional cost. I prefer 200-300 per person for transient rates. and just add another 100 or so per head for the two meals. simple meals would do.

Thanks.. need it before July 2008.

How can we go to the strawberry plantation from Burnham? Also, what are the places to see? We've been to Baguio but would like to see other places aside from Mines View, Mansion, market, Burnham, etc. We'd like to see other places. We have a car, so outside the city is ok.

Thanks

Baguio Central & Comfy Accommodation
Posted: Mon February 25, 2008 01:45 AM UTC
Greetings once again VT'ers.
GF & I will be back in PH again in April. Looking to be in Baguio from 1st April. Missing the Easter madness I hope. I've read some of the suggestions for acc. from posters like Jane, but haven't found something in budget - Camp John Hay Manor is nice but pricey.

Looking at the $40USD mark and really just nice bed, AC and bath. We'll be eating out mostly.

I would like some contacts (phone or internet) to book either an apartment, inn or B&B. Nothing flash, but something central. We plan to be travelling by taxis most of the time.

Is there like a central area where most hotels or accomodations are located? I saw a lot of places mention they are next to Barnham Park?

BTW - is it OK to negotiate a daily rate with a taxi driver for sight-seeing?

Thanks for your advice. I'm really looking forward to being back.
