I am an American living in America. Can someone help me with some names and address of some of the cheap buffet restaurants in Butuan City? I am not looking for anything that is luxury. I prefer a simple down-to-earth place that is clean and serves good food. Thanks in advance.

My best friend is planning a trip to Butuan City this Fall to meet what he says is to be his future wife. He met this gal online. Is travel safe in this area? Has anyone had experience with situations like this? I just want my friend to be safe and not get his feelings hurt.

i am going to butuan city in feb for 2 weeks and i am looking for info on almont island resort if anyone could help would be appreciated thanks roger

Details are as follows. My fiancee does not know of my plans. I have decided that I would rather live in the Philippines than monkey around with the fiancee process here in the states. On what limited research I have found, I am still unsure what I need to do get this off the ground. Roundtrip ticket with open return date... looking for an apartment there (I know that she can get a better price/rent as a local, so I may have to include her in the process)... Are than pitfalls that I need to be aware of? Any suggestions on shippers for clothing, computers, and minor household items (no furniture, just nick-nacks). Would very much like to hear from those that have moved there permanently as well as native Filipino/a's - I am new here, today, 1/25/06 so forgive me if I am asking for previously discussed information. I will answer ALL pertinent questions to the move in an effort get this right.

I am interested in locating a wedding coordinater who lives in Butuan City.

My wife and I are going to Butuan in the next two weeks and was wondering about stores, malls and such. We were also wondering about living areas and houses for sale. My wife is from Butuan but has not been back in about three years. She has family there and we are going to visit them and to look for a place to live. I want to open her a small business of her choice, so inputs would be very appreciated.

Has anyone been to Northern Mindanao recently. Is it safe to travel around Butuan. The Dept. of State has a pretty discouraging public notice out, but i am wondering if that is just the typical game of covering their ass. Please let me know about Butuan and the and areas north.
