Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Diva this year. We are going to be staying there in September and would like the views of recent holiday makers. I cannot find any upto date reviews. We have been going to Icmeler every year for the past five years, but never stayed in the Diva before.

Icmeler Palm Garden Apartments
Posted: Sun October 28, 2007 07:55 PM UTC
Having already been to Icmeler in May/June 06, we stayed at the wonderful Alvaro Apartments. We have booked again but this time decided to try the Palm Garden Apartments after reading good reviews. We shall be going last week of July/1st week of August 08. We love Icmeler so know we will have a great time but have a few questions. Does anyone know exactly where these apartments are? I know they are fairly central but have looked on all the maps and cant find the location? As we are flying fairly late and have previous memories of that awful coach transfer does anyone know if the owner arranges private taxi transfers?. I will e mail them on the website but thought Id try here first. And lastly what sort of temperatures will we expect end of July. When we went end of May it was lovely, sea still cold and a bit chilly in the evening but are we looking at 40+ degrees? We had that in Kefalonia a few years back and it was a bit much, although the kids didnt seem to mind! Any other info would be great.

Icmeler travelers cheques

I went to icmeler after being told that I may have a problem with Travelers Cheques. I had no problems what so ever cashing the cheques I had, in fact I got a better deal than I would have changing my monies in England. Has anyone else been given wrong information by the travel agent.

What is the availability of Cash Machines, ATM's, in the town?

Icmeler Golmar Beach, Icmeler
Posted: Thu June 7, 2007 08:36 PM UTC
We are off to the Golmar Beach Hotel for the last two weeks in August with our two children (aged 7 and 8). Is there plenty to do in the evening with the kids? Ideally, are there plenty of restaurants where the kids won't get bored once they have eaten! and we may want to sit for a while. Also can anyone let me know what currency to take over there? Is it Lira/Euros or even Sterling? Can someone also advise me how strong the Lira is to the pound and whether Turkey is as cheap as they say..... many thanks.
