I have been to cebu countless of times but this coming aug 2 i will be back thereir to do a food tour with other travel bloggers.

id like to get your opinion on where can i find the best listed foods and their address.

I have also included in our Itinerary the Pochero in Abuhan. Do you have other suggestions?

Thanks Jim for the info. May I ask some more questions here:

1) What is the operator of the fast ferry (2 hrs) to Camotes Islands? How much is the ticket?

2) Are the resorts (say, Mangodlong Resorts and Santiago Bay Resort) on the islands any good? I've sent emails to them to make a reservation but it seems that they don't check emails. If not many tourists travel to the islands, maybe I can get a room when I arrive at the resorts?

3) Should I go there at all? I'll stay in Cebu for 4 days and 3 nights. I've planned to go to Camotes and stay for 1 night and come back to Cebu city the next morning. I think I'll go to Lake Danao coz it looks beautiful. But I've no idea what I can do on the lake. Can I hire a small boat for a ride? If yes, is it expensive?

1. We're planning to go to Cebu (by ferry from Bohol) on the 3rd wk of August. Do you know what's the weather like during this period? If it is going to be a very thrilling experience riding the ferry during this period, is there any other means of transport that we can take from Bohol to Cebu?

2. Any suggestions for a 1-day itinerary? What are the must see places in Cebu and where is the best place to stay?

Hi, I'm staying in Cebu for 3 days next month. Could anyone give some advice on my itinerary?

Day 1: I'll arrive at the airport at around 2.00pm. I've planned to stay at SDR Apartments, near Marina Mall, that day. What do you think of this? Is the transportation to the Cebu city convenient? Do we need to take a boat? Or is there a bridge connecting the island and the city? How long does it take to go to the city centre?

Day 2: I'll take the 9.00am ferry to Camotes Island. I'm exploring the islands that day and will stay at Mangodlong Bay Resort for 1 night. I've emailed the resort to reserve a room but have received no reply. Do ya think I can still get a room if I go there without booking in advance? And how long is the ferry ride? Some say 4 hrs. Some say 2 hrs.

Day 3: I'll take the 12.00noon city-bound ferry. I'll tour the city and stay at SDR.

Day 4: I'll catch a flight at 10.50am.

Please name some nice restaurants in the city and some must-try food and must-go spots. A million thanks!

I'm an American visiting the Philippines this summer and will be in Boracay for 3 nights, Cebu for 3 2 nights and Bohol for 3 nights. Was wondering if there are any activities that anyone could recommend that I don't miss out on in any of these places ? I'd like to visit Allegre guitar factory in Cebu. And wherever the heart of the nightlife action is, along with the best area in Cebu for the therapy massages, with the highest quality ? 1)We are arriving Cebu City on May 1 at 6:30PM and will be staying at the uptown side (near Fuente osmena). May I ask where can we have a good dinner (with very reasonable price)?? We don't mind eating in an open area.

We have a stopover in Cebu (flying in cebu pacific on way to Caticlan) from 4 AM to about 10 AM (flying out at 11:15 AM)

On our way back, we arrive in Cebu at 11 AM and depart at 8 PM.

This means we have around 4 hours waiting time after immigration and before boarding on the way to caticlan, and around 6 hours on the way back

Is this enough time for us to leave the airport and see a bit of the city? and if so, how much should we expect to pay and what do you recommend we do/eat?

It's our first time in the philippines and looking forward to seeing as much as we can :) thank you

Spending a week in Cebu, trying to find a quiet location by the beach. A location easy to get to from the airport, and not too far to get to few shops and restaurants and an area not too lonely, happy and good to meet people.

I will be traveling to Cebu City for a business/leisure trip next month. I am looking for luxury hotel accommodations in the adult entertainment district. I also would like to hire a car and driver during my stay. I am 28 and single and enjoy dance clubs, drinking, gambling, billiards, and shopping. Any recommendations or suggestions would be much appreciated.

do they rent private rooms in any clubs here. so one can take his girl and have some rest and drink. also what is the charge for these room. I was in Manila before at party and we rented a private room off the main dance floor and it was great. Had vidokee chairs...couch.

I will be travelling to Bantayan island Feb.08.
My flight arrives to Mactan at 14:35. I have ordered a taxi to take me to Hagnaya port. Since last ferry goes to Bantayan ay 17:30, it will be a tough call.
I need to change my Euros fast, so what do you suggest.To change at airport, or somewhere around the road to Hagnaya? What are the rates there for Euro?
Or it is more easy to bring USD?

Hi guys, first time planning a 6-day trip with some pals to cebu, on a budget! Will be spending a day and a half in cebu city (and the rest on the beautiful islands) and need your kind advice on accomodation and activities!

Accomocation: Intending to stay at Pensionne La Florentina (found out abt it from a travel book), but not able to find much information online about it. any idea what the rates are for a standard room? cost and duration of transportation to airport (i suppose by taxi)? is there any way to contact them other than via telephone (231 3318) to make a booking? Do i need to make any deposit? It is only 5 min walk to Ayala Centre but how about SM City Mall? generally would you recommend this pension house?

Acitivities: Is there a bazaar kind of market which sells local souveniers/clothes/fruits? Carbon Market seems more like a wet market selling mainly produce, not so much of a bazaar am i right? Where's a good place to chill out at night with a live band? anywhere to salsa in particular? Think Filipinos are natural great dancers! Do you guys happen to know of any reputable dance studio that teaches ballroom classes like waltz/tango? May wanna pop by for a quick lesson or two! Thanks for any info.. Looking forward to a great cebu experience!

and im having transit for about 9 hrs and i need hotel near at the hotel for a short while can u pls let me know if there are few hotels nearby or if there is a hotel at the airport that would be better. just a cheap and clean decent hotel.

and one more where can i buy cebu souvener's item and a near by shoping centers.

We will be going to Bohol in Jan and taking the ferry to Cebu then flying to Palawan. What is Cebu like or Cebu Island is it just a small Manila or should I stay in Cebu for a few days and take some tours.Also where is the airport in Cebu in the city? If I stayed there I would want to stay by the airport or is the traffic not as bad there as Manila and you can get around easy.I will be staying on the beach on Bohol and Palawan so if I stayed in Cebu I would want to stay in the city but if its like Manila I would just go from the ferry to the airport and fly out Thanks ken
