Cebu City About to visit Cebu City - First time!
Posted: Mon November 9, 2009 10:43 PM UTC
Hi,

if everything goes well, this December will be my first visit to Cebu. A friend and I plan to go and we would like to ask for info regarding cheap hostels/accomodations in Cebu. I have found one for 750 (I believe it was the Pension Inn) and there was another for 600 posted in another thread for YMCA. Any other suggestions. Also, what would be the top three things you'd recommend as must-see or must-do while in Cebu? Thanks!

Province of Cebu Cebu / Bohol trip
Posted: Sun October 18, 2009 11:44 AM UTC
Me and my friends are planning to visit Cebu and Bohol on Jan. 9-11, 2010 but we don't know where to start. Could anyone please assist me on the rates of tour packages based on the preferred plan below. Any suggestions or your personal tour experience (preferrably year 2009) will be of great help as well.

(Day 1)
- arrive in Cebu (morning)
- tour the whole day and stay for the night. (which accomodation is good but affordable to stay at? and rates for Cebu tour, contact no.,etc. and which are the must-see places?)

(Day 2)
- finish other tourist spots in Cebu if wasn't able to finish it on Day 1.
- go to Bohol for our check-in in resort/accomodation
- tour Bohol and stay for the night

(Day 3)
- finish touring
- Off to Manila (afternoon/evening)

Additional Questions:
1. Which is better to go first, Bohol Countryside Tour then Dolphin watching and Balicasag Island Hopping the next day or vice versa?
2. Is it better to stay the entire trip in Cebu then just go to Bohol for a day tour? My cousin said it's better because there's no night life in Bohol. If so, please provide me your itenerary. Thanks!

I'm coming from abroad and this is my first time to go visit Cebu and Bohol. I only have 15 days in the Philippines and I want to make the most out of it. Your suggestions will really be a great help. Thanks so much!

Cebu City Cebu for 2 days
Posted: Wed May 6, 2009 02:21 AM UTC
I and 2 of my friends are travelling to Cebu this 1st week of June and this will be our 1st time there.... we will be arriving early morning in cebu on the 1st day then leave for manila around 530pm on the 2nd day.

just wanted to ask a great itinerary for this 2 days without backtracking. the must see places in particular please... we would love to see some historical places: fort san pedro(does it have entrance fee?), magellans cross basilica, taoist temple, the TOPS to see a great view of cebu, mandau, macatan then lapu palu city.... by the way... are there beach resorts in macatan island that are cheap? say 1500php a night?

we would also love to go up to the crown regency and experience some activites there.. whats the best time to visit there?

lastly, cheap accomodation that is near the provincial capitol or osmena circle.. we are eyeing pacific pension or appletre... any feedbacks on this two?

thanks

Thanks!

Hello Fellow travellers,

What is the travelling time from Cebu airport to the pier?
We will arrive in Cebu airport at around 7:40 am May 16, and need to catch up the 8:30am trip to Tagbilaran (supercat). Do you think 30mins is enough considering that we will buy our ferry ticket at the pier?

Thank you,

Cebu City ANY FORTHCOMING VT MEETINGS
Posted: Sat January 10, 2009 05:10 AM UTC
Hi we thought of asking rather than checking the forum. It would be great if a local from Cebu or Bohol would set up a VT meeting now that the SINULOG FEAST is on many will surely be happy to attend the meeting...'like us' For instance these would be our very first time in Cebu and through a VT memeber, named Eric, we found tons of excieting things to line up and add to our agenda...yet if we get to meet the very locals there is nothing like being around the locals!
Will keep checking the meeting forum someone might just be enthusiastic enough! CHEERS TO EVERYONE!
