anyone knows who offer a cheaper private vehicle good for 7 persons for a whole day tour in Cebu? How about a nice beach resort near the vicinity for a whole day swimming/water activities only less than an hour trip only? How much is the entrance fee? What are the latest/recommended places to visit and how much is the entrance fee? We'll be in Cebu this Nov.24-26.

I have cancel my first plan which is going to sagada, baguio province. so i've made up my mind and i have made 2 choices on places to go in the philippines. I have give a tought of going to cebu and do some island hopping around the area. but i have seen boracay island and its much more nicer than cebu.. can anyone advice me where is the best place to go also cheap for accommodation.

Im a backpacker and will be goin to thailand in 2 weeks times, however i havent sort on place to stay in manila and the other places i wanted to go. can anyone advice me where is a place to stay in manila for a backpaker also where is the place to stay in cebu or boracay. My budget on accommodation is around USD10-USD20/day I am prefering a room, instead of dorm, if i dont have any choices, then dorm should be fine for me and my friends.

Also, if i would like to go to boracay, what is the cheapest way to get there from manila. i have about 9 or 10 days in the philippines.

we will there on Aug 23-24, so far naka research na ko ng van rental kaso medyo mahal, the rate given to us is 2,800

does anybody have other contacts in cebu for car/ van rental? group of 5 po kami...

also, we are still currently making no progress in selecting accomodation, we prefer a resort instead of a hotel... siguro mas ok kung sa mactan island para mear the airport na... at saka i think mas marami resort dun... any recommendation po?

I'm looking for a private transpo from the airport to Hagnaya pier..
and does anybody know the ferry schedules??
we'll be arriving in Cebu around 1130 .. they say it'll take around 3-3.5 hours
from the airport to Hagnaya .. so we'll be there by 3pm ..

I have booked a flight to Cebu this coming May together with my wife and 4 Children. We will be going to Bohol for 2 nights and 3 days after a day stay in Cebu then back to Cebu for our flight back to Manila the ff day. May i know which ferry/craft to ride to Bohol and where to find them? Can somebody pls help me on where to stay that is accessible to the airport and the Pier to Bohol. A decent clean place that is not so expensive. We will be roaming around the day of our arrival. can you also suggest an itinerary? We would probably roam around on a Taxi. Thanks in advance.

is there a ferry that leaves from bantayan island straight to bohol? it would really save us a lot of time if there is. that way, we don't have to go back to cebu city from bantayan then take the ferry to bohol.

finally, me and my boyfriend will be in cebu on January 21-23, 2009. We will arrive in cebu, mactan international airport at 9am. Since we are already in mactan, we wanted to see all the must see places in macau before we proceed in cebu city. what i have in the list is the sutukil and mactan shrine. what else can we see there?

This will be our first time visiting phillipines and i was wondering if we should visit cebu or davao ? What is the major differences between the two ? We love beaches but would also like to do some sightseeing, if possible.

From either cebu or davao, what other places would be recommended ? We are looking at maybe a 10 - 14 days trip.

I have just read through ALL of the Malapascua Island tips here on VT and have a well rounded idea of the place...

What I would like to know is, is the weather towards end of January usually sunny? I saw a couple of VTers photos of it looking very stormy mid January this year. Secondly, as a first timer to PH, is this a cool place to go to get an idea of island life? I am a diver and would like to do some diving but I are there other things to do on the island? Can I go for a walk and see some interesting sights? Apart form Bounty Beach, are there other small coves I could explore?

Others have written about Bantayan Island which I understand is much bigger...is there more happening there? What are the beaches and accomodation like? I am looking for a nice hut somewhere!

Thank you for any advice you can pass back my way...Ive enjoyed reading everything, but now would like a bit more personal insight into the place!
