Myself and a friend are driving to Mongolia from England and would like to take a ferry from Trabzon to Sochi with our car, and was wondering what kind of prices we're looking at and if there are any deals we could get. Thank you

Hi, I have just spent three days in Trabzon, trying to find really high-quality cotton Turkish towels. I have not been able to find any that are better than average quality. I will coming back in a few weeks, and would like to know if anyone can tell me where I might go in Trabzon to find towels? Thank you.

Dear sir,mam
First, let me greet you. it would be helpful from you if you inform us about the monastery and its surroundings. Is there any municipality where is possible to contact with authorities.
please, don't hesitate to reply.

I'm looking for the best way to get from Trabzon to somewhere that I can get on the train to Istanbul. Some people recommend going from Trabzon to Kars and getting the train there. But Kars is east of Trabzon, the exact opposite direction from Istanbul. Why would people go to Kars to get the train? It looks like Sivas would be a better connection point! Wouldn't it make more sense to go Trabzon-Sivas-Istanbul, not Trabzon-Kars-Istanbul?

We will be traveling to Trabzon by bus from Georgia and are seeking clean budget accommodations for 3. A small guest house would be great. Any recommendations?

What is the best way to get around and see the sights? Can you get around sufficiently by bus. Any suggestions for local driver/guide?

Hi everyone!
We will spend 3 nights in August in Trabzon area and will have a car.
Apart from Sumela monastery what other day trips can we make?
Are there marked hiking trails in the area? Any suggestions for lodging?
We would prefer small rural pensions but how can we find them and negotiate?
I do not expect many people to speak English there.

Trabzon a good place to buy external hardrive? Where?

I need to buy a good quallity, durable, affordable external hardrive for my laptop. My laptop hardrive is full, and I need a place to upload a few thousand 10megapixal photos? A hardrive range of at least 50GB is required. My question is where in Trabzon should I go to buy this piece of equipment, also how much does it cost in Turkey, and is Turkey a good place to buy such a device? Please note, my next destinations are Georgia, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland (in that order). If you know for a fact that one of the precedding countries is better (in terms of price vs. quality) for electronics shopping, please let me know, and I'll wait a few weeks longer. Otherwise please let me know where in Trabzon to do my shopping.

Thanks

Best Turkish prepay SIM provider?

Which Turkish prepay SIM provider works best for a 3 week trip to NE Turkey? Avea? Vodaphone? or Turkcell? I am only interested in LOCAL SMS (to other Turkish mobiles), and the occasional call (only to Turkish numbers). I don't need roaming, or international calling services? Which provider has lower rates, no setup fee, or is most common?

Thanks

We will be stopping in Trabzon in October for the day. Are the sights walkable from where the Cruise ships stop or would it make more sense to take an arranged tour? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Robert

I've recieved great and helpful info via email from people who've made the border crossing from Trabzon to Batumi. I'm wondering if anyone's done this recently (in last 6 months or so), particularly starting from the Trabzon airport and if they can provide any guidance or advice?

If no one has done this border crossing recently, any advice from getting to the airport to the town center or bus stop?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello,

Full with new ideas, now I wonder how it would be to live there? I could move really soon, but still the last decision is not taken.

Is living and working there as a foreign single female
1)acceptable and
2)safe?

I know, to a certain extend everyhere it depends from the person itself. Anyway, it is a different culture and really far from my home-town ;-).

Thank you,
Regards,
Lillya

I'm urgently looking for a METRO contact in Sofia. Could you help? Thank you in advance.

I'm a youth worker. We, 7 people altogether, are going to take part at an international youth exchange project in Trabzon. Last year we use METRO's services and they are really good. Unfortunately we loosed the contact information.

Probably it's much better to use a plane for Istanbul-Trabzon part? Any cheap air-companies?

Thank you very much!

Fell free to contact me if I could help here in Bulgaria.

Nice day
Liliya

Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to stay in a pension or a hotel in beautiful village in Rize.
I saw pictures of it, and fell in love with the beautiful green scenery.
Also I love country life and very traditional ways of life.

I recently went to the Balkans, and people rented a spare room in their house, does that system work in Turkey?
And is it expensive in this area?
