hello:)
i'm moving to GC in a month, booked my one-way flight today
i'm a student, 22 and its time for a change is all
i was wondering what people knew about the job prospects over there, local agencies for employment, cost of living, general renting prices
would one municipality be more recommended than another?
i'm an EU citizen btw, will not have any legal problems getting some work like bar work/waitering

Flying into Tenerife (north airport) and going to Callao Gardens in Adeje (southwestern side), what is the best method to get there??? Taxi? Car rental? Private driving service? Plus what do you expect cost to be? How long should it take? We are a family of five. Any help appreciated. Thanks!!!

The apartment where I will be staying in Playa del Inlges (Avenia Estados Unidos)does not have Wi-Fi in rooms, and as far as I know it is not near any hot spots. What options are there to buy internet from any service providers or are there any coffee shops nearby with free Wi-Fi?

Hello im a 21 year old Irish female planning on going to work in fuerteventura for the summer 2012.
Im looking for someone around the same age (18-26/27) as me to do the same as I dont want to go alone but I also dont want to go with friends because they would end up doing my head in and im not into drama. I also want to throw myself in the deep end and meet new people. I know someone over there who can help us get jobs doing either rep or bar work and help sort us out with accomodation.
If you have never been there, the place is great. Its not mad like magaluf or anywhere like that, its really laid back and chilled with just the right amount of nightlife and the people seem really cool. full of gorge surfers :)
Just came back from a week there and fell in love with the place.
Get in contact with me if your interested.
Preferably a girl who is between around 18-27 and wants to have a really good, fun summer working holliday.

Our cruise ship will make an 8am - 5pm stop at Santa Cruz on Friday, April 20. We would like to make the best of our time here. The cruise excursions are not always good. Can anyone suggest the best way for us to spend our day? Should we be sure to plan beach time? What would we expect the temperatures to be?

While looking over the titsa.com website, for possible useful bus routes in Tenerife, I think I might have found a misprint. Can anyone tell me for sure?
It's the 342 El Portillo - Playa las Americas service.
There is only one to El Portillo and back a day but they have the time coming back as 13.00 whereas Google maps say 15.15
I know that Google must have it right as people need time to look around but was unable to email the bus company 'titsa' from their website to ask.
We hope to catching this bus at Los Cristianos and take it as far as Boca Tauce, for a walk around, unless anyone tells me any better. (don't want to take the cable car up Teide)

I know from other posts that you can buy Bono bus tickets, opposite departure gate 45, at the airport. My question is how long does it take to get from arrivals hall to the this point? Do you go through customs and collect your luggage first? We have booked transfer to our hotel but want to buy a Bono bus ticket before we leave the airport.

I am looking to schedule a holiday that my kids will love. We have this habit of going to beaches in Feb & April where the water is too cold to enjoy playing in the water and hang out at the beach.
Are the Canary Islands a good choice for an early April holiday with this goal in mind?

Hi, can anyone confirm the current price per litre for diesel and petrol. I'm looking into renting a car for our trip in March and I'm in the process of getting confirmation of how much I'll be charged for a full tank of fuel. ( I'm told that you have to take the car back empty. ) I'm trying to avoid getting ripped off by the hire company ( Goldcar ) Any help would be much appreciated.

My girlfriend and I want to visit the Canaries and stay in a small villa or bungalow-type accomodation on or near a nude beach, maybe with a private pool. We also like having a kitchen for breakfasts and lunch, mostly eating out at night. We are not partiers or late nighters, liking quiet, restful beaches where we can sunbathe and swim, and also enjoy some local culture from the surroundings.
On another note, I also want to visit Morocco, and wonder could we fly into one and home from the other with an in-between flight?

Hi,
Can anyone direct me where I can find a one bedroom flat / small studio in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands? My boss is going to stay there for a month this December 2011-January 2012. Budget is only 600 euros or less inclusive of gas, water, electricity expenses.
Thanks in advance,

I have been to Puerto many times and its my Favourate eurpean destination . The place has got a lot quieter over the years, which is a shame. I am going back in October(3Rd time this year). I usually go in March/ April time but this is the first time in october, is it usually busy this time of year .I notices that The show bar Flanigans was closed last time i went and the Bloke(Who addresses himself as the 3rd Marquis of Barnsley) was doing his act in titos some nights. Is he still there or hopefully he's back in flanigans showbar with Rita . A bar we used to go was caesars disco(Near Titos but again this was shut in April) will this place be open in October. There's the showbar other end of the strip near the owl and the pussy cat bar can not remember its name . We always go in ruta 66 and Murphys bar best two bars here.

Six of us will be arriving via cruise ship and wondering if anyone can recommend a guide that would have a van large enough for the six of us.
Trying to decide if one might be available at the cruise port or should we just rent a big enough car and go it alone?
Thanks for any help!

Hello!
We are looking to go away for a week over new year, from the 29th Dec to the 5th of January and are thinking that the canary islands would be a nice, easy choice, for some warm weather.
We are 3 single women, age 33, 41 and 42 and we are looking for a nice beach and good bars and resturants. good nightlife without being too crazy!! (no 18 to 30's please!!)
I have been to tenerife (playas de las Americas) and it was horrid! all brits abroad drunks in "just like england" pubs watching football and eating fry ups!
So am not wanting to repeat that experience! But it was along time ago, so i may be doing the iland a dis-service!
So what island/area would you suggest 3 youngish women should go for a nice fun break?
KR
