Hello, I am having great difficulty getting in touch with anyone on La Graciosa to answer their phones or emails about apartments to rent.
I would like an apartment for 14 days on La Graciosa from 1st August till 15th August. Can anyone help me get in contact with the many holiday apartment owners to get back to me regarding availability and booking. Many thanks

I had never heard of the Canary Islands before but now I am planning to spend my honeymoon there. Me and my fiance are getting married in October and will be going on our honeymoon in December during the Christmas holidays. And as she wants to go to a beach, I came to know that The Canaries will be the best during that time of the year in Europe.
Now here are my questions:
1) Which of the islands have the best beaches?
2) Can I hop from island to island, and if so, then how?
3) All the islands have atleast one airport. But do international flights go to all of them or only to some of them?
4) What will be a realistic budget for a honeymoon in the Canaries for 5 days???
Any inputs will be of great help as I dont know anything about these islands.
I'm travelling to Playa d Ingles in a few weeks and would like to be recommended a good local restaurant for evening meal that's not too expensive and has local dishes.
I am a single traveler on a tight budget. Can anyone advise me on the cheapest way to get from the south airport to Playa de las Americas or Costa adeje. For example, is there a public bus service from airport to bus station in Playa de las americas or some kind of shuttle bus? How much would a taxi cost? I will have one suitcase and hand luggage and it wiil be midday when I arrive.
Thank you in advance. Graham
Has anyone heard about Gran Bahia del Deque resort in Tenerife ? How is it ? How is the location ? If yoy know any other resorts in the same standard please recommend .
We are traveling to Canary Island in July and we are looking for a child friendly resort with children's activities and to be close to the other island activities , shops & restaurants .
Hello, fellow VT-ers,
One of my daughters will study a semester at the ULPGC (Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria) in Spanish language and literature (in Erasmus students exchange with Pau University).
I am wondering if flat or house sharing is a current practice in Las Palmas and asking where (websites, agents, virtual or real notice boards. . . ) she should begin her search for an accommodation; no luxury (!!), just what fits to average students.
Thanks for your information, Hermann.
Hi. My family and I are staying in Corona Blanca apartments in Playa del Ingles in June. We would really like to travel around the island by local bus, especially between Playa des Ingles and Agaete, and inland to Arucas etc. And trips to the capital by bus. What company routes and prices please? Thanks in advance for your help.
Can you tell me where is the best place to park for a day's visit to Las Palmas is please? Or maybe it is better to park away from the centre and get a bus in. I am going in August. We went on a tour coach trip round the island last year and stopped on the outskirts of the city in the shopping centre where Carre Foure? is - but l think you can only park for a short time there and we would like to go to the beach and round the 'real centre' of the city.
Can anyone give me some names of good restaurants in puerto del carmen. I am going to lanzarote in June and so any information would be great. Also what the shopping is like!!
I'm looking to go on holiday with my husband and 10 month old baby which island should i go to and which resorts? I've been looking at lots of different resorts but i'm struggling to find a cheap and cheerful apartment that has all inclusive? Any ideas? Any ideas of hotels/apartments with good reviews? cheers lynda
I will be going to this part of Lanzarote in June, does anyone know what the weather will be like?
Also, has anyone stayed in the apartments and if so, what were they like??
We are off there next week and looking at weather predictions, ther will be rain all week :(
Really we wanna get the best out of the trip so what are the highlights to do? We are both mid 20's and as much as we enjoy a good drinking session we can do that at home so what do you recommend we do?
I am hoping to go to the Canary Islands and do some hiking on Tenerife and La Palma. I am mostly concerned about personal safety issues(crime, etc.) of traveling alone there. I am pretty aware of normal safety issues about hiking alone.
Any experience people are willing to Share?
Thanks!
Hi, I'm trying to find somewhere pleasant to go for one week, in the Canary Islands, with my Mother. Hoping to find reasonably priced self catering accomodation, near a sandy beach. Would prefer not to be in or close to a large resort, but a little 'life' would be appreciated. Has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks,
Does anyone know of a quiet beach in the South West of the island? I really don't want to visit the main resorts and have heard that there are a few quiet beaches that can be found although a bit of a hike may be necessary.
Hi, I am taking my family to Gran Canaria (never been there before) for a week and I am considering renting a car, for 2 reasons, we will be able to drive around and see a bit more of the island, and we will be able to get a child seat for our son. Which I am told is not possible on the busses of the tour operator. I was wondering if anybody who has experience with the traffic on the island could share some of them :)
I am wondering about some of the following things:
- Is there a lot of traffic on Gran Canaria? Or hazardious driving?
- Are the roads well marked? on arrival I will have to make my way from Las Palmas to Arguineguin. Then later we are consideing maybe doing a full circle around the island.
- Are there any special traffic rules, thing that differ from other countries, that I need to be aware of? I have read about the rule about no talking on the cellphone while driving, but that one is starting to become more and more normal in other countries also by now.
- Any other tips is also greatly appreciated :)
i have been searching for the website for the SUNWING RESORT FANABE, for some reason i am unable to find it. does anybody know it or the email adress, thanks, shell
Myself and the OH are staying at the Costella Del Sol (think its called that) in peurto rico. Just wondered what the hotel is like, cant find reviews on this site about it. Also what is the weather like then? What is there to do on the island??
My girlfriend and I are hoping to go to the Canary Islands in the end of Feb/beginning of March. We found cheap flights to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and are interested in seeing the cool little parts of the Islands, instead of staying on a resort. Any ideas as to which we should fly into, where we should go from there for the majority of our 5 days, etc? Also, roughly how much do ferries/flgihts cost from the bigger islands to La Gomera and El Hierro?
Thanks in advance!
